So, while admitting the subject is notable, you really think it better to speedy delete the Arthur Stein article rather than helping to fix it despite my the tags I slapped on it? --Technopat (talk) 18:03, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

No, of course not. The copied text should be removed, though. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 18:06, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
I apologise. In between edit conflicts I did not see the hangon tag you pasted. IOU 1. Cheers! --Technopat (talk) 18:08, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the extremely quick and encouraging suggestion to Marcel van der Plank's page. I'll not sign articles any more. Sorry about that.
Erichv (talk) 10:05, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

No problem. By the way, did you see the preview button next to the submit button? It is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made -- especially as you appear not to be fully familiar with the syntax yet -- reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 10:15, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Von Haulshoven

Hello, just for your information, db-foreign is only for pages that already exist on a foreign language Wikipedia. The general procedure for tagging recently created articles in other languages is to add notenglish which will ask editors to translate the article within 14 days. If no translation has been provided by that time, the article will be prodded. De728631 (talk) 21:28, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

And the list of publications indicates notability per WP:Notability (music). Moreover if one speedy deletion request has already been declined, articles are no longer valid for CSD, so please refrain from adding speedy templates to it. De728631 (talk) 21:35, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, for some reason I managed to overlook the large list of publications. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 21:38, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
No worries. I'm also quite trigger happy when it comes to speedying strange-looking articles ;) De728631 (talk) 21:57, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Paris Sadonis

Hello Schuhpuppe. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Paris Sadonis, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. ϢereSpielChequers 12:36, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Louisiana university

Could you please eliminate this article in spanish? It has to be placed on wiki spanish? Thanks in advance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.226.11.145 (talk) 21:37, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Generally, articles not in English are translated to English and kept. But in this case, there is already an article in English. I will request its deletion. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 21:41, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Jussle

Hi, it appears you nominated my page Jussle for speedy deletion. Could you please userfy it for me so I can work on the content to be less of a product. I note the iPhone page which is a product that is an article on Wiki, so will fashion the Jussle Wiki similarly. Once I have modified the Jussle page I will request you review it to see if it is appropriate for reposting to the main site. Thanks for your consideration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lee-tree (talkcontribs) 23:53, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I can't as I'm not an admin. You can place your request here. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 08:34, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

جواتی

I'm just wondering why you put جواتی up for speedy as it has been declined already today. WP:CSD criteria A2 suggests that non-English articles should be translated first at WP:PNT. Anyway I removed the tag pending translation. Regards. --Wintonian (talk) 16:54, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

I did not check the history for a previous speedy tag. Looking at the Google translation and the small bit in latin letters, I'm sure it is indeed vandalism. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 17:08, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Oh ok. if it hadn't been put up for speedy before I would have just left it, and I expect your right but strictly it should go through WP:PNT I think. --Wintonian (talk) 17:20, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
The template itself suggests to use Google translate for assessing the article, so I don't think waiting is necessary. But as long as it's just vandalism and not an attack page I'm fine with it either way. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 18:40, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Ah good point! Though it may just be badly translated. It you want to use CSD again and leave it to an admin to decide then I'm fine with that. --Wintonian (talk) 20:11, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
CSD declined again. admin said to WP:PROD so I have PRODED it for you, don't worry you'll see the back of it sometime! see admin comment at: Talk:جواتی

Danke???

--Schuhpuppe (talk) 18:26, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Translation

i dont understand why you did that --Pumkinhead001

Links to Youtube in the text of an article are absolutely uncommon. Maybe the link could be added to the "External links" section, but I doubt it would satisfy WP:EL. The phenomena might be worth noting somewhere, but that would be in an article like Vampire film rather than one about a specific article. --Schuhpuppe

There's already an option in Preferences to disable the standard toolbar, and if you want to turn off wikEd temporarily, you can always click the button in the top-right corner of any page. I think that these methods, which already exist, are actually easier than having to enable and disable them through CSS. Gary King (talk) 01:05, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the hint, I did look in the preferences but didn't notice that option. I also removed the entry from the list. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 07:08, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

There is no copyright infrigment whatsoever. First, FolderPlay is the free software. Second, this is few-line short description of a free product - your assumption about "copyright" issue is completely baseless. In addition, this Wikipedia article is also approved by copyright holder of FolderPlay Mr. Demidov personally

So, please remove the "copyright" complaint.

m656 (talk) 14:53, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

—Preceding unsigned comment added by M656 (talkcontribs) 14:47, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

While the software is free, I could not see anything suggesting the website is as well. Regarding the permission by Mr. Demidov, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 14:54, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
There is no need for permission of copyright folder since this is not a copy of the content of that page.
This is a rather standard and very short description of a popular free software application. Since when writing on which platform a program is running is copyright violation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by M656 (talkcontribs) 15:05, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
That was a copy. Omitting some parts of it does not make it less of a copy. If you want an article, write a new one from scratch that does explain why this piece of software would be notable as the final reason for deleting was "lack of notability". --Schuhpuppe (talk) 15:08, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Now FolderPlay disappeared and it does not say who deleted it.

Ruinz Ason

More Links and references have been added to prove notability, Label is an independent production label by Ruinz Ason And his Brother J-Flames. The reviewer starts off calling the Album a mixtape then at the ends says "In fact this is a street album not even a mixtape. " In all links it mentions J- Flames as the producer of all Ruinz Ason's 3 releases. July 2010

A tag has been placed on Blok 5 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template hangon underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Thanks!

Thanks for the help, would it be alright if I wrote the articles and you catagorized them? Old Al (Talk) 00:52, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Can you fix something?

There were two Louis Maxmilans (I think I may have misspelled it), so can you edit the template for that? Just asking. Old Al (Talk) 01:50, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Actually, never mind. Old Al (Talk) 01:54, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi "Schuhpuppe"

I'm User:MelvinPena, I'm worried by the label of 'Copyright' on the article "Premios El Nuevo Día Educador if I posted any misrepresented information please let me know because I want to fix that problem. If you show me the errors will be grateful. Thanks! Have a nice day.—Preceding unsigned comment added by MelvinPena (talkcontribs)

The issue is not the correctness of the content but the fact you apparently translated it from [1]. Anything you add to Wikipedia must be either your own work -- translating something doesn't make it fully your own -- or you need permission by the creator. If you do have permission, please have them send it to Wikipedia staff -- the procedure is outlined in the copyright notice in the article -- otherwise the content will have to be deleted from Wikipedia. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 21:29, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

I really thought I could post that information, I feel that there gone through this problem. Sorry about that. If you must delete that information is fine. Thank you for answering my message. Have a nice day. MelvinPena (talk) 21:40, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi. I saw where you had reverted my edits to Bookhouse. There is actually a Wiktionary entry for this word. Leasnam (talk) 22:04, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

The link was wrong so I didn't find the entry. I reverted to your version and fixed the link. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 22:08, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. What does TOC mean please? I copied the format from another page which contained it. Leasnam (talk) 22:09, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Table of contents. It's created automatically when necessary, the template that I removed forced it despite the article being too small too need one. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 22:15, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Leasnam (talk) 22:16, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

I created an article called Lingtsang Gyalpo. It was flagged as violating copyright from being a close copy to http://www.rigpawiki.org/index.php?title=Lingtsang_Gyalpo However, I did rewrite the article, based on rigpawiki. Of course, there are quite long names in this article that might have prompt the bot to recognise the modified article a similar to rigpawiki, but, please compare, I did rewrite. Can we remove the tags from the article? --Rédacteur Tibet (talk) 21:58, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I should have looked more closely. I'm removing the tags. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 22:05, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. The article is also very short, and it is only a starting point. All the best. --Rédacteur Tibet (talk) 22:14, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Wow!

You and I managed to nominate for deletion at the same time! See [2]. I was wondering why Twinkle had registered my AFD as a second nomination and realized you had submitted an AFD at the same time that just completed before mine! -- Whpq (talk) 14:55, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Prod removed

[3] What do you think we should do now? I really want to speedy it but can't find something that fits. --mboverload@ 02:26, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Neither can I. A9 would apply in spirit but everything but musical recordings is explicitly excluded. For know, I've just put it up for deletion. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 02:33, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Bernie Grant Arts Centre

I have read your comment at Talk:Bernie Grant Arts Centre, where you said "I don't think CSD applies here". I just wonder why you didn't remove the CSD tag in that case. It's not a big deal, but I just wondered. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:13, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

I thought I couldn't but now I see it's only the creator who must place a hangon. Thanks for pointing me at that. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 14:55, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Grapes

I'm signing the post up here because stupidly it doesn't seem to work further down?! Go on edit your talk page to see how its kind of messed up. Jay-Sebastos (talk) 20:27, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi Schuhpuppe, you very kindly left me a message a while back when I first joined wikipedia, and so was wondering if I could ask for you help? I have tried to add this section into the article grape but it seems to mess up the whole article if I do and the format gets all messed up. Do you think you might be able to change the formatting for me so it works or tell me what's wrong with it? Would be very kind if you have the chance have. Just have a look at the preview of the page if you put it in. Here is the wikitext:

(==Religious Significance==) In the Bible, grapes are first mentioned when Noah grows them on his farm Genesis. Instructions concerning wine are given in the book of Proverbs and in the book of Isaiah such as in Proverbsand Isaiah. Deuteronomy tell of the use of wine during Jewish feasts. Grapes were also significant to both the Greeks and Romans, and their God of agriculture, Dionysus, was linked to grapes and wine, being frequently portrayed with grape leaves on his head. Grapes are especially significant for Christians, who since the Early Church have used wine in their celebration of the Eucharist" tag. Second, the article grape does not yet have a references section, when you add your text you should also add
References
Reflist

to the end of the article.
Two other, minor things: Bibleref apparently doesn't work with more than one citation at once, so you'll have to create the link to Deuteronomy manually. You also use a little too many wikilinks: agriculture, wine, farm and feasts shouldn't be linked, see WP:OVERLINK. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 23:34, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks so much for the help! I've added the section and got rid of those extra wikilinks. Thanks again. Jay-Sebastos (talk) 18:36, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Images from Facebook

Hi Schuhpuppe, thanks again for your help last time. I was wondering whether you could enlighten me: can photos from Facebook profiles which are already completely open to the public be used as images of living people on Wikipedia? Jay-Sebastos (talk) 15:30, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure. They definitely can if the copyright holder releases them under a free licence like Creative Commons, otherwise fair use might apply. You should ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 17:54, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Your comments

You have removed my questions in this edit without a answer at all. Please do not be rude and answer my good faith questions, I was polite enough not to give you a templated warning and I request a good faith answer to my questions as regards your edits and additions. Off2riorob (talk) 15:24, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Your rudeness that you expect perfect english from other users or you will not answer their good faith questions about your additions in uncivil and should not be repeated, no one is expected to edit using perfect english. Off2riorob (talk) 15:31, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm not expecting perfect English, but not putting in any effort at all to make the text readable is disrespectful. --Schuhpuppe (talk) 17:02, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Twaddle.. I challenge you to take my post that you so rudely deleted and now claim was disrespectful to any noticeboard to see if your claim is supported. All my posts are readable and everyone else manages to read them without rudely deleting and rejecting them in a demeaning manner. Off2riorob (talk) 17:16, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article List of Afro-Latinos, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Off2riorob (talk) 15:25, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to List of Afro-Latinos. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Off2riorob (talk) 16:57, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Your edits to Afro latino

You are again adding uncited content and I will report you if you do it one more time Off2riorob (talk) 16:59, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did to List of Afro-Latinos, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Off2riorob (talk) 21:01, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

I must say, I'm a little confused by this edit war but Off2riorob, from what I can gather Schuhpuppe is not adding "uncited" content. There are two sources: Afro-Latin/American Research Association, and People of African Descent: List of Afro-Latinos, Garry Bushell, LIVVI Franc. To be sure, maybe it would be ideal if every single name would have its own personal reference, and if you care so strongly about it we'll leave it to you to go through all those names and find specific references from secondary sources. I think for the time being however the content should be allowed to remain in place and therefore the article should be kept as apposed to deleted. I don't know quite why you suddenly make article policy and then have to enforce them so vigorously by blanking the entire page and giving out absurd warnings?! Maybe you should get a warning for wasting our time. Jay-Sebastos (talk) 23:21, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
If there is to be a list it should be well cited and informative, not some valueless uncited irrelevance that allows passer by users to add whoever they want, also copying to wikipedia from some online list or a single written book has copyright issues and as wikipedia is not a directory creates other issues. If you like the isdaea of this list and want to see it be a good useful educational tool then add some notable people and add some citations to support your additions. Off2riorob (talk) 09:48, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

You seconded a PROD on this article, and it was deleted. Undeletion has now been requested at WP:REFUND#German International School Boston, so per WP:DEL#Proposed deletion I have restored it, and now notify you in case you wish to take it to AfD. The article is pretty poor, but secondary schools are normally considered notable, and I would think sources could be found. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 09:54, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
