Dispute resolution survey

Dispute Resolution – Survey Invite

Hello Phearson. I am currently conducting a study on the dispute resolution processes on the English Wikipedia, in the hope that the results will help improve these processes in the future. Whether you have used dispute resolution a little or a lot, now we need to know about your experience. The survey takes around five minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist in analyzing the results of the survey. No personally identifiable information will be released.

Please click HERE to participate.
Many thanks in advance for your comments and thoughts.

You are receiving this invitation because you have had some activity in dispute resolution over the past year. For more information, please see the associated research page. Steven Zhang DR goes to Wikimania! 02:21, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Company Article

Greetings, Phearson.

I wanted to write an article about a company with layout format similarly like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Apple_Donuts_and_Coffee I've tried in My sandbox and did a preview however, the overall format is different. Could you please help me with hints?

Many Thanks in advance.

Hi Phearson,

Requesting assistance

Hi Phearson,

I was pointed your way in a Quora discussion regarding writing company pages for Wikipedia. I've read through Wikipedia's guidelines and composed the first draft of a page for spotflux, the company that I work for, which has been generating a fair amount of press since early this year. I believe the copy is impartial and notable, with numerous references to credible, third-party sources. Would you be able to take a look at what I've drafted and give me your feedback on the tone, as well as any advice on the next steps I should take?

Thanks in advance,

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

COI+ certification proposal

I've thought of an idea that might break our current logjam with paid editing. I'd love your sincere feedback and opinion.

Feel free to circulate this to anyone you think should know about it, but please recognize that it hasn't been agreed upon by either PR organizations or WikiProjects or the wider community. It's also just a draft, so any/many changes can still be made. Thanks and cheers, Ocaasi 15:16, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi.

The Humber Bay, Toronto page was supposed to be saved in my user page - not posted to Wiki.

Because it can be difficult to navigate through Wiki pages mistakes like this occur.

I cannot see how to delete the page so that it can go in the proper draft place for development on my userpage.

I can't even find my own userpage from the menus onscreen - and it really shouldn't be that difficult to do. Wiki is definitely not user-friendly in some respects. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul Chomik (talkcontribs) 17:49, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Try using user:Paul chomik/sandbox to save your page. Phearson (talk) 17:52, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on User talk:Apostrophe Magazine/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Accidently edited sandbox

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Phearson (talk) 22:05, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Creating Unbiased Company Page with COI

Hi Phearson,

My name is Ryan, and I was turned on to you through a topic on Quora. I am a marketing professional working for Taptera and looking to create a Wikipedia article for the company. We have had news articles cover our company as well as a host of mentions in tech-based websites (i.e., TechCrunch, PC Mag, Wired). Additionally, the CEO is a contributor of online news articles on technology.

As this is my first time creating a Wikipedia page, I was hoping to get some advice and guidance through the process to ensure it is done right. Below are links to a few articles that mention Taptera:

News Sources

Sandboxed article and notes

I had a crack at it, but I am not hopeful that an article on this company can be made at this time. Please have a look at my sandboxed article here: User:Phearson/sandbox (Feel free to edit it) and my notes here: User_talk:Phearson/sandbox (Do not edit this). Please reply to me with any questions. Thank you. Phearson (talk) 03:42, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Thank You

Hey Phearson, thank you for taking the time to provide an initial write-up. While I would like to see an article go up, I agree that this draft will not add value to the community. If I expand on some of the content, are you willing to review a draft in my sandbox? Best, Ryan Ryanbozarth (talk) 22:17, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

Certianly. Please let me know when you have it up. Phearson (talk) 01:26, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, I'm new to Wikipedia and came across a recommendation to you on Quora. I'm looking to create a page for my company on Wikipedia, and despite having read as much as I can I'm still somewhat confused. I was hoping you may be able to help guide me on that. My company is a social network called Härnu and it is at www.harnu.com.

I hope I haven't done something wrong in contacting you. Please forgive any mistakes I may have made here as I get started.

Thank you very much for any assistance you can lend.

Long-term abuse

Please help with the long-term abuse of Bishonen, Thomas W. and Lute88 who claim that there is no difference among Hitler, Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin in their opposing of Waffen SS liberalism during the WWII etc etc. and claim that any information not confirming SS liberalism may not be verifiable. They accuse China, the USA, the UK, India etc. and all United nations in crimes but consider "personal attacks" any request to stop their vandalism and to discuss any verifiable Waffen SS and Tamerlan Tzarnayev's liberalism documents on the talk page before deleting verifiable data with reliable sources.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.66.236.238 (talk) 10:35, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Company Page for Mountain Hazelnut Venture Private Limited

Hello,

I am currently working as a business management consultant for Mountain Hazelnut Venture Private Limited (MHV) on a six month contract and working to create a Wikipedia page for the company. I have read the help pages re: notable companies and conflict of interest and believe the company passes the criteria.

I have written a draft of the article. However, I would really appreciate some help on getting it onto Wikipedia - editing, adding the references, how to correctly declare my conflict of interest on my User page, ensuring it is written in a neutral tone, etc. I'm not sure how to go about adding the article I have written (currently just in a word doc) to Wikipedia.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I do apologize for the late reply. I have been away from the wiki for quite sometime. If you are familiar with how essays are written then you understand why your professor would not grade this article with an A+. First off, while there are some external links, you have no citations to point to specific information about you. Sadly I currently am not in the right state to review your article at the moment, I need to get my bearings back. I have been away for awhile and need to get with the flow of how things are done on the wiki. Phearson (talk) 14:01, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

Help required for a company page!

Hi,

I work for a firm and we would like to have a company page up. I have read a lot of wiki articles and i understand about the conflict of interest and that the page should be neutral. I also think the company does meet the notability standards with various media mentions (i will be more than happy to provide sources as well), and i'm pretty new at this so would love to have your help and feedback. The company is www.holidayiq.com It is a leading holiday information portal based out of India and is powered by the traveller community & experts. It enables travellers to discover, plan holidays and share holiday experiences. I would love to work with you, and i was referred here via quora (http://www.quora.com/How-do-you-start-a-Wikipedia-page-about-a-company) Do let me know how to proceed!
