Civility to IP users

Hallo, I noticed you made a sharp edit comment when correctly reverting a piece of vandalism by a first-time IP user in this edit. I'm sure on reflection you'll realise this wasn't really necessary, nor the ideal introduction for that IP user to manners on Wikipedia. I have issued a vandalism warning to the IP, and given the general injunction 'Don't bite the newbies', not to mention WP:CIVIL, that should have been sufficient. Hi. I've noticed (After you incorrectly posted a warning to my talk page, but thank you for undoing it.) that you are still using some edit comments that are somewhat uncivil, such as "Please go home" and other such comments. It would be best to simply explain why you're reverting, rather than making conversational comments towards the editor. Comments such as "Reverting unexplained removal" or "Removing unnecessary link" explain why you reverted, while also assuming good faith. Of course, there's also clear examples of vandalism, such as complete gibberish and swearing, which you can leave an edit comment such as "rvv", which is a short hand for "Reverting vandalism." But be careful to assume good faith before calling an edit vandalism, just in case the other editor made a simple mistake. -- ferret (talk) 00:08, 29 July 2014 (UTC)

My link was from my website, which is non-profit and educational. It lists all of King Kong's major film appearances with pictures of each movie poster and appearance.
