Are tanycytes a kind of astrocytes?

[edit]

My answer to this question is no, as far as I'm concerned tanycytes are a kind of ependymal cells, opposed to what is currently being said in the article. I'm changing it now but anybody is free to prove me wrong.--C39 20:28, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion request

[edit]

"Infundibular nucleus" redirects here, but this term is not explained in the article. -- Beland 17:30, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ghrelin

[edit]

Surely the statement that POMC neurones are stimulated by ghrelin is erroneous; ghrelin is realeased from the empty stomach to signal hunger and POMC neurones stimulate the VMH satiety centre! Icosahedron (talk) 02:22, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Icosahedron[reply]
