American Heartbeat
Hi PMDrive1061, I was making an American Heartbeat page to link to all the wikipedia articles about the individual bands who made this Iconic compilation but it was deleted within seconds of me saving the first draft before I could add any meaningful content. I don't do much wikipedia editing but I like to plug the few gaps that I can. Simon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.187.157.99 (talk) 19:05, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your kind note. I made changes last night and added a lot more external links. Someone made additional changes and a few requests so I am doing those fixes right now.

Mykill Miers
Hello. I know you do good work, your status as an administrator attests to a positive review from your peers. However I'd like to drop this note as a reminder to to be careful to WP:DONTBITE the newbies. I believe that DJCAMBRIDGE (talk · contribs) was making a good faith effort to contribute an new article about a person who (in my opinion) has sufficient media coverage to satisfy notoriety standards. Granted, the copyright violation was a mistake, but prior to that the user made some comments to the effect of "I'm new, I've working on it" as part of the {{hangon}}
response to the speedy deletion notification. We never know where the next great editor will come from. Possibly they may start with some awkward edits in a new article on a subject with semi-obscure notoriety. Thank you. -- Tcncv (talk) 03:57, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
R3 deletions (?)
You recently deleted First Quantum Minerals Ltd. and Inmet Mining Corporation under R3 but as in both cases it would appear that those are the legal names of the companies and are thus neither implausible nor misnomers. Icewedge (talk) 06:12, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Libby Booth deletion
I am an historian at Saginaw Valley State University and I am trying to put together a page about a local artist named Libby Booth.
This is my first time making Wikipedia articles and I was editing my initial drafts you deleted the article.
Is there any way of un-deleting this so I can finish the article according to Wikipedia guidelines? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Redgramsci (talk • contribs) 07:47, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Libby Booth Thanks!
Thank you for un-deleting my article. Yeah, I ripped of the formatting from the Warhol page and was trying to change it around. This might be a dub question, but how do I go about uploading a photo of Booth to replace the Warhol pic? Thanks for any help you can give me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Redgramsci (talk • contribs) 07:56, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
PRDLA
Why is PRDLA a copyright violation? I personally have written every word in the text and on the web site to which the PRDLA article refers. FYI, I misunderstood the editing process and would like to complete the proper formatting of the article.RBruceMiller (talk) 01:03, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification. I should have caught that detail. I will amend the external site and then will resubmit the fully formatted article. I appreciate the help.RBruceMiller (talk) 01:10, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
ZP Boy Wonder
Dear Administrator,
I am wondering why you deleted my post about Zachary Perris, alias "ZP Boy Wonder". He is a real person and a real rapper. If you go on any of the pages which I listed on the article, you will be able to see this. His songs are being played in many bars and clubs all across New York and his myspace page has a very impressive amount of hits on his songs. I found it a bit surprising that he did not already have a wikipedia article.
Please reconsider.

Speedy deletion of File:TramGas-lg.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:TramGas-lg.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image with an unknown source or an unknown copyright status which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:File:TramGas-lg.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. hmwithτ 03:04, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Deletion of "DJ Xealot"
This addition was properly cited and added primarily to give depth to the Napster Case, but the subject is popular enough as well, enough, I think, to merit an article. Surely there are plenty of other similarly well known DJs and musicians on wikipedia. Unless, of course, you see a problem with my citation. 19:00, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Moishe Oofnik?
You deleted Moishe Oofnik? A whole 2 generations of Israelis recognize that name and character - I understand that there was little content - that's why it was labeled as a stub - but notoriety, he has. Tewner (talk) 21:32, 16 February 2009 (UTC) Thanks for putting it back!! 05:32, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Why do you keep deleting a new entry for Giovanna Negretti? This is a valid and accurate entry on a living person. None of the links are illegitimate, nor is any of the content inaccurate. They are the facts, and this is a stub, to which more information will be added. This is no more "blatant advertising" than reading any other bio. She is a legitimate and public figure in Boston.

deletion of Costa Mesa Speedway
I guess I dont understand why you deleted my post about Costa Mesa Speedway. Its an historical venue and is now different from many of the other racing venues you have on Wikipedia like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Speedway or all of these
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Sports_venues_in_California
how is Costa Mesa Speedway different?
please help me understand. I even used a template from another race venue
(Dpc123 (talk) 05:30, 17 February 2009 (UTC))
How does one start a stub that can be added to if it keeps getting deleted? All the links I provided in the bio/article, go to organizations that show her and show the award, or mention of her, so it is not as if the links themselves are illegitimate. Over time (as in not at 12:30AM tonight) I will be adding links to mentions of her work in the Boston Globe, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ariennerf (talk • contribs) 05:33, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Yes I have the right to contribute VALID articles as well as FAIR judgement. you didn't spent more than ONE MINUTE reviewing my article when you said it failed notability standards. Do you wish for me to contact Wikipedia and pursue action regarding this? It looks like you like to delete articles at will. This is not what Wikipedia was meant for. Deletion of Roo'ra
Okay, I'm not a fan of gratuitous wiki pages for any band or pop group, but I think in this case the deletion of this article is unwarranted. Roo'ra was a notable and important korean pop group which boosted many current korean pop stars and song writers to fame. Some of the groups albums were the top selling of their time in Korea, with their debut album selling 280000 copies. They also hold the title for first setting the record of one million album sold in the dance and hip-hop genre in Korea[1]. The group also caused significant controversy through sampling a Japanese song directly in their own song. This incident raised a heated debate '...about the nature of "Korean-ness" in popular music'[2] and push to the forefront this pointy but long dormant issue in the mid-1990s.
I urge you reconsider this delete, and restore the article. Sjschen (talk) 16:58, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

What is the difference between advertising and simply stating a fact of an entity?
My insertion was deleted as blatant advertising. I am curious how you determine this. A corporation is an entity that exists and therefore should be able to list the facts. An advertisement has a call to action (none in my info), a contact number (again not listed) and reasons to use a product or service (I listed none).
For example: The Full House TV show. Who's to say that is not promoting re-runs or the actors trying to get visibility?
Full House Marketing is a trademarked entity. It is registered and therefore exists as a public record. So simply stating the history of such entity in my opinion is not advertisement, it is stating facts as they happened.
I welcome your suggestions as I am new to Wikipedia. --70.154.96.68 (talk) 23:55, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello,
A little while ago, I posted an article about me2everyone. Unfortunately, I did not know that I could not advertise. So, I went back into the article after you deleted it the first time and I took out all of the referral links. The only links now in the article (and correct me if I'm wrong) are links for the site, me2everyone. I am not looking to cause any conflict here, I just want to get the word out about a website and provide information to people about what it is. So please let me know how I can fix what I've done wrong. Right now I'm going to go back into the article and take out all links. Hopefully this clears anything up? Wikipedia Loves Art preparations
Are you read for WLA this Saturday? Here are some last minute preparations you should do before you arrive.
- Be sure you have a spiral bound memo pad or notebook (and pen) to take notes and to use for writing the accession numbers, which you then have to photograph (see Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art/LACMA rules for details).
- Be sure to print out the scavenger hunt list at Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art/LACMA rules/list. You may also wish to visit http://collectionsonline.lacma.org/mwebcgi/mweb.exe?request=onview1 to make a plan of attack.
- Since tripods and monopods are not allowed in the museum, consider making a string tripod (not as good as the real thing, but better than nothing).
Additionally, we will plan to eat out afterwards at a nearby dining establishment (TBD) -- hope you can join us for that. And finally, I was able to make arrangements for my daughter so I will be able to attend after all. Looking forward to seeing you there! howcheng {chat} 19:41, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Help with deletion of duplicate article
Hi PMDrive1061, thanks for your encouraging review of my very first article! I enjoyed authoring it and now intend to continue editing and authoring in areas where I have interest and/or domain expertise, particularly algorithms and how they relate to both online marketing and security.
My question for you is how do I go about deleting (or requesting the deletion of) an article which seems subjective and rather trivial, which is almost entirely contained within another article. The article is Secure USB drive, and there is already a security section within usb flash drive that pretty much covers the topic. Also, there is no such thing as a secure usb drive, though there are security measure that can be applied to data on usb flash drives just as they can be applied to data on hard drives, CD-ROMs (while being written), or even floppy disks for that matter. Unless we want articles on secure floppy disks, secure hard drives, etc. it seems like this article should be deleted, and with that thought in mind I have already copied the paragraph or so of unique and meaningful content into the broader usb flash drive article. Do you agree with my assessment and, if so, what should I do now? Thanks! Eruvian (talk) 23:10, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

I wanted to create a page that tracks a strange custom in the game industry, but it's apparently a little too racy for Wikipedia.
Is there another flavor of Wiki that would let me do this?

Hi, I notice that you recreated this page. Previously I deleted an identical version as a CSD:A7. I have never known a youth football team meet notability requirements. Plainly there is always a first time but I doubt that this is it. I have carried out a Google search and see no reliable sources. My preferred way forward would be for the page to be deleted and then userfied to the creator which will enable him to source it up and take it to DRV if he considers that it then meets notability standards. What do you think? TerriersFan (talk) 22:23, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

I remember talking to you about this before, so I figured I could tell you again. Crussly clearly did not meet G1. G1 is only for:
“ | Pages consisting purely of incoherent text or gibberish with no meaningful content or history. This does not include poor writing, partisan screeds, obscene remarks, vandalism, fictional material, material not in English, poorly translated material, implausible theories, or hoaxes; some of these, however, may be deleted as vandalism in blatant cases. | ” |
I would hardly say that page consisted of "incoherent text or gibberish". Please be a little more careful. Thanks, — neuro(talk) 01:18, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

PMDrive1061 deleting Twenty After Four
I have a clothing company named Twenty After Four or 20 After 4 I want a presence on Wikipedia.... I'm not a web site creator by trade, so I am open to suggestions. I just didn't appreciate you removing the page claiming it was nonsense! In Lak'ech is a mayan greeting which means that I am you it stems from the belief of do unto others.
A la kin was the common reply which means all the family is one. Namaste is sanskrit for the divine light within me recognizes and blesses that aspect within you which is devine.
The pictures didn't come up, although I have great graphics. I don't know the proper way to move forward, however I didn't appreciate the way you're handling it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Highclassglass (talk • contribs) 22:51, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
I added a second one:
Twenty After Four
Well as you well know 4:20 is a versatile time, which happens to pop up at arbitrary times throughout the day. It's safe to call it a universal time if you will, the now, it's a time for awakening our consciousness. It is now, be here now as Baba Ram Dass said. You must be present to win, and it helps if your mind is open. In lak'esh - You are another myself! A la kin - All the family.
A revolutionary clothing company. www.Twentyafterfour.com
It's time to wake up, you know what time it is, the now, a time for awakening...
What does 4/20 mean for you???
Hopefully this is more legible.
It is not my company, I am merely incorporating this website presence onto the wiki community, basically to get the word out.
The addition is to create a branding, of ideas already well established. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Highclassglass (talk • contribs) 23:01, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Adding External Link Info Help
Hi PM- Thanks for the continuing help on the Green Stuff Absorbent page I wrote! It looks like it is off the "danger list" now. One commentor found an old link about the developmental history of Green Stuff from the 1990s. I added revisions to the page to reflect that data, but am unsure how to get the link to appear properly at the end. Could you please add this as an External Link? http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-5547877_ITM Is there anything else you think we could add or modify to make it seem less like an advertisement? We have been using Green Stuff plenty at our firehouse recently, but I figure I would not be the best person to add my experiences as they would appear to be 'advertising'. Our sales rep tells us they will be showing Green Stuff at the Fire Department Instructors Conference in Indianapolis this April where it should garner some regular press coverage. Should I even mention to the sales rep that there is now a Wiki page on Green Stuff? How does Wiki keep businesses from commenting on their own products? I really appreciate your good help in getting me up to speed on Wiki. Learning these 'dos and don'ts' are a little tricky, but wiser elders like yourself are much appreciated! Syosset1966 (talk) 13:53, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi again PM- Here is another link I found with Green Stuff mentioned in it from 2002 when it was owned by Berryman Products. This seems sort of like a press release, but it is from Motorsport.com and might be useful to address the "orphaned" issues tagged on to the page. Thoughts? http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=108161&FS=NHRA Syosset1966 (talk) 14:11, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

You deleted this article as WP:CSD#A3. How do you figure it falls under that criterion? It had context. It did not establish notability, so one might consider going the WP:AfD route, but I really don't see how it could be a speedy candidate, as stub-like as it was. -Lilac Soul (talk • contribs • count) • I'm watching this page so just reply to me right here! 18:24, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

I value your opinion as a user and an administrator, so I was wondering if I could have some help explaining to the user Ejfetters why posting links to other wikis which are not under the wikimedia foundation spam?— Dædαlus Contribs 06:24, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
- FYI, this was not a "spam" issue. Daedalus969 objected to a new template Ejfetters had created to link to Heroes Wiki on Wikia. Daedelus has withdrawn the objection, and the template in question is under discussion at the Heroes project. --Ckatzchatspy 23:46, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Chamelon Eclectic.
Hi, I was attempting to compose an article for the company under the Role Playing Games heading. Information is difficult to come by as the company has been defunct for at least a decade. Most of what I gathered were tidbits of info into where they were based, some of the writers of the RPGs and the few RPG games they published, the most sought after probably being the Babylon 5 RPG created in the mid 90's. Sorry for the confusion but due to poor sources and lack of info I think I will just not create the page. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nanoforge (talk • contribs) 04:00, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Huh?
Why did you delete Ziggy Hasbrouck? He was a major league baseball player. Might as well delete Babe Ruth while you're at it, buddy. PM800 (talk) 07:31, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
- Why was this deleted? The article was quite short, obviously, but it doesn't appear to meet CSD A3, articles with no valid content. The article stated that the subject was a former major league baseball player, which supplies enough context to get it past a speedy, and probably enough information to survive an AfD. I'd like you to consider restoring this, please. --Bongwarrior (talk) 00:16, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Advertising
Can you shed some light on what constitutes objective prose v. promotion. I am trying to create an article on Courageous Sailing (a Boston non-profit sailing center) and it has been deleted (twice, I think). The opening lines are:
Courageous Sailing Center is a non-profit sailing center located in Boston Massachusetts. The community sailing center offers a variety of affordable US SAILING sailing courses and membership options for adults and free youth sailing programs for inner-city kids. Courageous Sailing Center Website
and then I have a sentence or two under headings for History, How Courageous Got Its Name and a description of our Enabled Sailing program.
I also understood that I could create test content on my user page and then move when completed, but that page was also deleted.
Please help! This is my first ever attempt at posting, so I appreciate your time and patience!

Speedy of St. Louis Cardinals Radio Network
It was speedy deleted under A1 this user also created the similar Philadelphia Phillies Radio Network. Since I didn't get a chance to see the original St. Louis Cardinals Radio Network I ask for recreation, and for allowing to at least tag categorize and include in {{Major League Baseball on the radio}}. The article certainly lacks quality and could be better, but we shouldn't WP:BITE and in particular in view of {{Major League Baseball on the radio}} it most probably was not CSD A1. Also, I think you mis-tagged him as a disruptive editor - seems moar like clueless than disruptive. Could you please reverse?--Cerejota (talk) 06:36, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- Also applies to Cleveland Indians Radio Network, Cincinnati Reds Radio Network, Chicago White Sox Radio Network, Minnesota Twins Radio Network, Kansas City Royals Radio Network, Colorado Rockies Radio Network, Texas Rangers Radio Network, and Pittsburgh Pirates Radio Network. I think most of these you deleted after I left the above message, and I still haven't heard from you. Please respond either in the affirmative or negative. Thank you. --Cerejota (talk) 04:39, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
- My apologies, you had responded and I had not seen it!!! So let me ask you, do you think they are absolute copy-vios? I mean, remember that a list of stations is not copyrightable in itself, the format is. So you really think these cannot be userfied to my Userpage and then quickly de-copyvio? It seems to me as notable content, and the guy is just a new guy that needs guidance, perhaps even a few stern words, rathe rthan deletion. Looka at Philadelphia Phillies Radio Network, this is not cruft or bad content. --Cerejota (talk) 05:52, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Your deletion of Jacob Martins Obiorah
You deleted Jacob Martins Obiorah, which had been {{db-bio}} tagged. I was removing the tag and leaving a comment as you deleted. There was an assertion of notability — competed in the 2004 Olympics — thus one of the top athletes in his country. I believe this assertion should be enough to keep from a speedy deletion, though with further review, the subject may not pass AFD. Since you did the deletion, rather than undelete myself, I ask you to review the deleted article and consider undeleting it. — ERcheck (talk) 00:29, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- He was the only athlete from Nigeria competing in his weightclass — which would put him at the tops in his country. See Nigeria_at_the_2004_Summer_Olympics#Taekwondo. — ERcheck (talk) 00:32, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- Your deletion comment is for notability, not copyvio. What was the source for the copyvio? I would not restore any copyvio. Please restore yourself if you do not have a copyvio source. — ERcheck (talk) 00:46, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Deletion of ECost.com
Hi there. I noticed that you deleted the redirect ECost.com for "blatant advertising" (although you didn't delete the destination article eCOST.com), and I wanted to ask why? eCost is a fairly well-known online retailer that's been around for awhile. There is no way I'm advertising for them...they are actually a retailer that has a fairly bad reputation and that I have had a number of negative experiences with personally. (I was actually going to write a "Criticism" section when I got around to expanding the article.) However, I did feel that they merited having a WP article. Scootey (talk) 00:56, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Excellent, thanks for clarifying. I'll work on the article in the near future so it might not be so easy to be confused as an "ad". Scootey (talk) 01:09, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

I was in the process of creating Torture Garden (fetish club) and it was deleted from under me, a bit over-zealously. I saved it early before adding citations as my browser was crashing. Time Out has described it as "legendary", so it is a notable club. Fences and windows (talk) 01:57, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- No, seriously. Read http://www.timeout.com/london/features/2242/Torture_Garden.html, and take your finger off the trigger a touch. Fences and windows (talk) 02:01, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Apologies for my tone in that last comment, I was irritated because I wasn't given a chance to explain why this club is significant. I am finding references in the British press that refer to this venue, please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Torture_garden_(fetish_club). Just because it is a fetish club, I don't see why it cannot be included in Wikipedia. People interested in fetishes are people too! (I'm not into fetishes myself). In response to you message about the Piginator being nonsense. I can understand how you might think that, however the Piginator is a new burger that was recently invented by me. Is there any thing that I can edit in my previous page, or include in a new page that would allow this item to remain on wikipedia. I understand how you may think this is just a made up prank but the entire thing I wrote is based on actual conversations. I don't want to break any Wikipedia rules so I'd appreciate it if you could clarify what exactly would be considered valid content for a Wikipedia page dedicated to the Piginator burger?

Hi PM. It does look like my Green Stuff Absorbent entry is safe for now. I added a couple links in the popular press to try and "un-orphan" it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Stuff_Absorbent I have found out a bunch more info about Green Stuff from using it often lately. Here is the question I have for you: Do you think I should add any more to the Green Stuff page? My experiences have all been great, but I could see someone say, "Hey, this guy is promoting Green Stuff on Wiki and that is blatant advertising." Should I essentially censor myself out from adding more info? I am also torn about telling our sales rep that there is a Wiki page on their product now. They would, of course, have plenty of info to add, but it would be pure "advertising". How does Wiki keep manufacturers from promoting their own product, even if it is just "stating the facts"? I want to make sure I am staying within the Wiki rules, but love this product and would love for many other fellow firefighters to know about it here. Thanks again for your time! Swish SPEEDY DELETION
Please do not speedy delete the article Swish (band), as it does meet notable musician or ensemble requirements nos. 1 and 6, as stated below:
Criteria for musicians and ensembles Shortcuts: WP:BAND WP:MUSICBIO
A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, DJ, musical theatre group, etc.) is notable if it meets any one of the following criteria:
1. It has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician or ensemble itself and reliable.[footnotes 1] * This criterion includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, books, magazine articles, online versions of print media, and television documentaries[footnotes 2] except for the following: o Any reprints of press releases, other publications where the musician or ensemble talks about themselves, and all advertising that mentions the musician or ensemble, including manufacturers' advertising.[footnotes 3] o Works comprising merely trivial coverage, such as articles that simply report performance dates, release information or track listings, or the publications of contact and booking details in directories. o An article in a school or university newspaper (or similar) would generally be considered trivial but should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. 2. Has had a charted single or album on any national music chart. 3. Has had a record certified gold or higher in at least one country. 4. Has received non-trivial coverage in a reliable source of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.[footnotes 4] 5. Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable). 6. Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such, and that common sense exceptions always apply. 7. Has become the most prominent representative of a notable style or of the local scene of a city; note that the subject must still meet all ordinary Wikipedia standards, including verifiability. 8. Has won or been nominated for a major music award, such as a Grammy, Juno, Mercury, Choice or Grammis award. 9. Has won or placed in a major music competition. 10. Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, e.g. a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film, inclusion on a compilation album, etc. (But if this is the only claim, it is probably more appropriate to have a mention in the main article and redirect to that article.) 11. Has been placed in rotation nationally by any major radio network. 12. Has been the subject of a half hour or longer broadcast across a national radio or TV network.
If you have questions about this or feel I have misinterpreted the guidelines, please contact me directly. I have referenced four non-trivial published works in the article meeting requirement number 1, and as you can see by the information Patrick Murphy, who went on to drum for The Lemonheads and is also the drummer for Dinosaur, Jr., provides the requirement for item 6.
Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lorigregory (talk • contribs) 00:44, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi, firstly, I am not complaining.
I am fully novice at wikipedia and it seems that I can not get it right.
I can see many many other articles about companies and do not understand what is the difference in stating that we exist.
Because we do.
Obviously I am not following the guidelines but I have not been able to find anything in the guidelines that says this is wrong.
Is it a point-blank policy that new companies can not declare their existence?
I included a reference to an Australian Government publication supporting the fact that we exist.
And the fact that we exist is our only advice.
Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Deletion of lunar eclipse articles
Recently a user named SockPuppetForTomruen created six articles about future lunar eclipses. They were quickly tagged as vandalism and nominated for speedy deletion. I agree that perhaps an article for each individual eclipse is a bit optimistic, but I certainly can't see why any of them should be classified as vandalism. I removed the CSD tags from the five remaining articles and I will try to help the author decide where to go from here. If his intention is to build each one up to the status of something like the March 2007 lunar eclipse article, I would encourage him to do his best. The only thing he can't add as of yet is photographs. Note, there is a discussion about it currently happening here. Soap Talk/Contributions 22:58, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Please Help
Please help.
We have now tried twice to get a simple existence indicator on the Wikipedia site, and we are afraid of our ignorance and feeling gun shy. We really need help.
We understand the existance of a product and a site does not give us the right to be on your site, and we do not feel a sense of entitlement. We are not trying to advertise and we keep missing the target in our phrasing of the site and keep being deleted immedately. Please believe we are not trying to frustrate you into banning us. We simply would like to get into the list on
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_project_management_software
and we would like a Wikipedia page to be on that list.
We are a significant player in the project management software business and we would like to be listed among the other project management software provider as listed on the referenced page above. What are we saying that is upsetting Wikipedia is alluding us, we'll happly stop if we understand what to stop ... please help.
Our most recent attempt to make the site, we identified: 1) the cooperate name and headquarters location, no logo 2) A short history of ManagePro's migration path from 1992 to today and we
provided 3 references to prove that we are an existing product since we felt your last rejection of us was because we were not a credible product.
3) Indicated the product is written in ASP and SQL, and is available on desktop and network format. 4) We added a criticism of our product so that we would not look like pure advertisement. 5) We put no backlinks to our site anywhere.
Can you help use to get a presence on your site to permit us to be referenced in the other list you have on the site. I hope there is a way, we are feeling awfully gun shy. Please help use undertand what we can do so we can have our product listed with Attask, Cardinis, Clarizen, Daptiv, Quickbase, Wrike that produce similar product and have apparently made it successfully on to Wikipedia. We thought we were pretty much imitating their formats in an attempt to succeed.
Thanks for any help you can provde.

- The sad thing is that, like myself, he is probably a Bolton supporter. Since his edits all seem to revolve around making out that big name players have joined the club. Burn Notice season 3
I previously tried to create an article for the third season of Burn Notice and it was promptly deleted, just because I didn't have enough information there. Am I allowed to copy the code from the season 2 article and just replace the text and references? I am not very good at formatting, but I can find the necessary references! Amicianthony (talk) 00:44, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I just noticed there is no season 2 article either! I would be willing to create them both if I am allowed to base them off of the code from season 1. Is that allowed? Amicianthony (talk) 00:51, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Oops! Big embarassment! I beleive that I made a request for season 3 with the IGN reference, but I forgot that seasons were labeled with parenthesis! I didn't see season 2 because I didn't search for it right. I will try to add the episode chart for season 3, along with any more references that I find soon. Sorry for any confusion, I'm still new here! Amicianthony (talk) 01:08, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, that makes me feel better! In fact, I just updated the ref, it was pointing to the season 2 IGN page. Speaking of refs, what's up with the blank refs on the page? They go nowhere. Is that implying that references need to be found for the marked things? Amicianthony (talk) 01:13, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello PM - I saw that you deleted the page March 2, 2009 per WP:CSD#A7. I noticed the article while newpage partrolling, and was about to redirect it to March 2009 when the "admin deleted" notice appeared. It doesn't seem to me that the page really fit A7 (perhaps in the spirit of the law). Redirects are cheap (and less potentially WP:BITEing to new editors), and redirecting individual dates to the month article seems to be standard protocol with new pages, from what I've observed. :) Best, Jamie☆S93 17:46, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello,
I started a Wiki page about the non-profit organization, Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. I was asked by the CEO of this organization to make a page so that people know what the Crisis Center is and where they can be found, etc. There is only basic information on the page that came directly from our Web site. Can you please re-instate our page? The information was not under copyright infridgement because we wrote the information on the Web site, http://www.crisiscenter.com. Bounty Hounds - The (Band) Deletion
Hi PMDrive1061
I would just like to know why my page was delete please?
Although it may not have concerned global information of the magnitude of the atom being split, it was, however, of importance to the re-emergence of the Folk/Rock genre in East Anglia. The Bounty Hounds have been a trail blazer in that quest!
The band, although not currently with a major record label, have started to be noticed. They are recording for the BBC this week, and are being approached to play in festivals up & down the country, both for this and next year (the 'Sweeps' festival is a classic example!)
The page was under construction and more content would have been added in the near future. I had only just constructed the bare skeleton of the page by putting a brief bio, when the thing was cut from under me.
Thank you for your time in reading this & I look forward, with interest, to your reply.

Regarding the entry I nominated for deletion, Mcauliffe Regional CPS, I was told before that I could not nominate a school for speedy deletion regardless of the state of the entry. Is this not true? I couldn't find any hard and fast rules on this. Thanks. Wperdue (talk) 01:30, 27 March 2009 (UTC)wperdue

Exore Gaming Limited
Hey its me. I first want to start of by saying thanks again for being understanding. Now I love video games and so I found this company called Exore Gaming Limited. Now I'm not advertising; I want to talk about what they do and the CEO. The company is fairly new and is run by a teenager! Now I will start the page, could you point out the mistakes that I might(high chance:)). I'll start writing the page when you say you read this note. Page deletion ability
Hi,
I've seen a page or two appear that obviously shouldn't and have witnessed your ability to swiftly remove one. Does the ability to remove a page or insert the banner to suggest/request deletion only come with admin powers? While idling away, I find a decent use of my time is to watch the 'recent changes' and revert obvious vandalism so the facility would be a useful one!
Thanks

So today I wrote more info ... I'm hoping to make a living bio page with a blog, photos of the area and my ranch etc ... so now this morning I recreate the page and it's again deleted but I don't understand why

COIs
Hi there,
On NPP I keep on finding articles that have blatant COI issues - generally established by looking at the user names and or googling user names and article titles. I'm not always sure what action to take, if it's well written it can seem a little harsh to suggest speedy deletion but then again if the topic is notable it shouldn't need to be written by someone with a COI. e.g.s today include Monteloeder, Hineini and Secret Identities: The Asian American Superhero Anthology. Your advice would be helpful. Thanks Smartse (talk) 16:55, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

DJ BCA page deleted!
Please don't delete this page. It says blatent copyright infringement. I have permission from the artist to post this page and I am trying to get references and make it a page about the artist. How do i fix it and get it back?? (this can cost me my job please help!) Music27 (talk) 01:00, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
No, the artist isn't my boss, i'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I didn't realize how badly I messed up but I seriously just signed up today and have no idea what I'm doing. I'm trying though. I checked out the link you sent regarding a musician's criteria and I have quotes from magazines and other references I could have posted but that still doesn't meet the criteria for just an artist bio? I don't understand what you mean by posting the information on my page, even though I wrote all of that information I posted. I'm sorry, I just don't understand where the infringement is. My only goal is to just have a page about an artist, not advertising, just informing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Music27 (talk • contribs) 01:21, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for the :) I feel much better already. I'm sorry to keep bugging you, just one more question. Do I now re-insert all of the code with the added text and then just reference the magazine I got the clipping from? Ok two questions, Do I have to use the reference tool button or if I just have the magazine title after the quote in the content is that enough? Music27 (talk) 01:29, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks again, really. I am going with the option of just typing it in, to see if I can get it back online. It says that I am attempting to redo a page that has been deleted. Am I going to get automatically deleted again if I do that?! lol Music27 (talk) 01:43, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

DJ BCA attacked again by admins
I don't understand. I had everything up there, it got cut in half. The admin Wperdue said I wasn't credible etc. This is really frustrating, I mean this is a new artist, a simple bio page with all of the credible sources that are directly related to the content that are available to the mass public. This administrator was definitely not as courteous as you were. What am I doing wrong? I'm not advertising or anything, my entire article was erased. The administrator says I was claiming the information to be true. If this just isn't going to happen, can someone just tell me that?! :) Music27 (talk) 02:38, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Ah, thanks anyway. A bunch of people have approached the other band members & myself seeking information about how we got started & so on. Most of them have told me to put up a Wikipedia page about us.
However, I noticed that in the Criteria for musicians or ensembles that it states: A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, DJ, musical theatre group, etc.) is notable if it meets any one of the following criteria: in #9 it says: Has won or placed in a major music competition. I believe I mentioned that we took part in the 102.1 The Edge's "Search for the next Cutting Edge artist" competion, but I did however, fail to mention that we placed first in St. Catharines & the surrounding regions. Placing first in our region now allows to play again at The Sound Academy with Mix Master Mike of The Beastie Boys (as I have stated in the article) [I must apoligize for being so inconsistant]. We will play against 6 or 7 other bands for the chance to play the main stage at The Cutting Edge Music Festival this summer. The Cutting Edge Music Festival has hosted such notable bands as Alexisonfire, Moneen, illscarlett, etc.
So that may be a start!:)
I realize we're nowhere near big or anything & also know that you need to be a big band to be on wiki, but we could wait it out & see what happens with this 102.1 The Edge business & we'll talk then.
I almost forgot about the neutral point-of-view business. If I use my friends account (he has no association with the band) would that be considered writing it from a neutral point-of-view?
Cheers for the luck mate, although I don't believe we're going to be even close to winning or anything. The other bands are a billion times over better than us. haha If you're interested in what we sound like... here's our myspace link: http://www.myspace.com/aasbmusic

PMDrive1061,
Please help. I have no idea what I am doing and things are getting worst ... Can you help. Some named RHaworth believes that I am trying to socket puppet of "scanplan," and ManagePro has been removed again because the COI is very strong.
I am the person scan plan, RBrim is my manager. I did one article under the name scanplan because I did not know my managers login, then, my manager had me start doing all future work through his login. If you check the history of the article, the first implimentation came from this site, then one attempt to update it came from scanplan, then all future updated have come from this login RBrim. RBrim is not the puppet, and scanplan can be deleted if you like to clarify the situation ... scanplan was the duck out of water and not a covert attempt to deceive anyone. I even made reference to scanplan in the previous thread and you were nice enough to make copies of the website for me in subdirectories so that I could update as either scanplan or rbrim. I am not trying to create so covert interlacing. Can you please clarify this with RHaworth?
RHAworth sounds very upset that I am trying to do something devious. As I mentioned to you previously, I am simply trying to create any article that will be acceptable and not trying to do marketing. I simply need a reference on the site so that I can be listed with the other project management products at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_project_management_software.
As I mentoned in a previous thread, I will do anything that you specify to the article that makes it complient. I am not trying to market. I made changes that I thought were appropriate according to your suggestions and they apparently were not correct. PLEASE HELP. The only reason I have added the links that I have is an effort to assure wikipedia that the product exists and is valid, not because I feel that the links are of any marketing value to me.
PLEASE, what changes do I need to make to make this site work. I am not trying to make this the most hated site on wikipedia, I am just ignorant. With this latest lost from RHAworth, I am ever more lost than before.
Dave Rbrim (talk) 16:04, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
Did I say something wrong? did not intend to imply that scanplan is blocked ... I have not checked it. I was simply trying to clarify that we are not attempting to use two logins in some strange manner.
I am not attempting to force anything and it is only seems reasonable that we be on the list_of_project_management_software. Are you indicating that since I am using my managers account to write this I am doing something wrong??? I am sorry that was not the intent, it was simply an attempt to be up front about our interest in an entry at Wikipedia. Are you indicating that it is inappropriate for us to have an entry and I should just give up? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rbrim (talk • contribs) 16:52, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Blatant Advertising??
It shows that you deleted my first wiki page for "Tractor Wars" due to "Blatant" advertising. I wish to know what made you think I was trying to advertise anything at all. I merely created a wiki page for the events so people are able to know what the event exactly is, because it is so much easier for them to look it up on wiki than to have me explain everything to them.
I wish to have the page reinstated.

Deletion of Tech Blog
Brother of mine asked me to publish his technology blog because he noticed that other technology blogs in same range have similar wikipages. He tried to do it him self but was deleted because you can not have same username and make same wiki page (He did not know that). He asked me to create page for him which I did, and was following the rules making sure that it has everything others have. Now that the page was deleted again under my publishing, we both are wondering what does satisfy wikipedia? I can create L...C... page without any links going to that blog, he does not want any link juice as it is nofollow, nor he needs more traffic because wikipedia is not that great after all for promoting it's own blogs, forums etc. So here is the question again: How can I help him to create that page without being deleted. If other technology blogs such as boing boing, mashable, arstechnica, engadget, lifehacker have pages why LC can't have one unless wikipedia is a bit rasistic when it comes to "promoting".
Thank you.
Sincerely,
M.H (Yes I am his brother)

The First Door, Climb a high mountain. The Second Door, Stumble through cold desert. My Own Door, The Journey has started.....
...Slothenly walk over carpet, Prepel ones body against pillow and canvas. Mind spills over many answers, But the air is shivering and drunk. I have the knowledge to know, My journey died at its birth, My Head is still born. Close both eyelids slowly, I travel...
...And open the agian. Hazily. Lazily. Sit up, stretch, scamper. Open my other door. Weep rivers in my cold shower. this is the hour.

You declined the db-spam speedy on this, but I was inclined to speedy as A7. Of the two references given, one didn't mention Moneytime, and the other ended with "Disclosure: A Moneytime director is the writer's father". Another problem is that "Moneytime" is a well-known piece of Windows software. I'll be happy to restore if you feel the article merits it. Sommer Shadoe Deletion?
PMDrive1061, can you explain why the page I created for Sommer has been deleted. It's listed as vandalism. I don't understand how it could be considered vandalism.
Ok in checking the Sommer Shadoe subpage there must be two different ones. I get two diffent page histories depending on whether I'm logged in or not. I started the subpage yesterday then I tried deleting it by removing the Sommer Shadoe and resaving my page. Now I see messages about crosslinking and now vandalism. Is this the problem? Can we get the page I created today recovered maybe even to my page and the subpages removed and a new clean Sommer Shadoe subpage created? Will that fix the problem or is it something totally unrelated. I was recreating the page last night it was deleted while I was creating it, by Manifisto for not being noteworthy. When I sent him a message with the world records and media history he appologized and set it to be able to be recovered. The recover didn't work so this evening I recreated it again in a more encycolpedic format. At least we thought it was much more wiki material especially being on a subpage and all. Let us know what we need to do to get this cleaned up and we'll be more than happy to oblige.
Please advise, Ken

We have two Marco Beltrame articles. Marco Beltrame and Marco Beltrame (ski jumper). Who is the most notable? Who schould have the Maroc Beltrame page and who schould have the Marco Beltrame ( ) page. Or schould we have an disambiguation page? The Rolling Camel (talk) 22:42, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, can you fix a disambiguation page? I don't know how to do. I may also create a article about the ski jumpers father who also was a ski jumper. The Rolling Camel (talk) 22:46, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, Thanks. I will keep working on some ski jumping articles. The Rolling Camel (talk) 22:49, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Hello,
Can you please comment further on why you deleted the page BDSM: It's Not What You Think! (film)?
Although it did start as a student film it is an academic endeavor and is socially important to the BDSM community. There are not many documentaries that cover the topic in this capacity.
It has screened at some prestigious film festivals, won an award, been reviewed, has an official website and, as mentioned, is academic in nature.
I'm curious what makes this article any different than other film articles that currently exist on wiki? Is there something more that should be included in the article?
Thank you for your time. Diaphanousolid (talk) 23:11, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Hi again,
Thank you for your quick response and for the potential 2nd chance. It was fun learning how to navigate the wiki code (wow - did it take me a long time ) so I hope to post again as well.
I will cross my fingers that the article makes the cut - as I feel that it is an important film. But if it does not, I will hope that it goes on to be even more successful and I will try to repost as further credible sources surface.
Thanks again, Diaphanousolid (talk) 08:32, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Dock 17 article
Hi. I'm new to creating Wikipedia articles. I'm trying to make an article on a new short film called Dock 17. I've tried to improve it, but it's been taken down a couple times. Is there a way to have an article on something that does not yet have references? If this movie is put on IMDb, and I think it will be, would that count as a reference and would that make it more eligible for Wikipedia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Maroonbrownie (talk • contribs) 17:44, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Maroonbrownie (talk • contribs) 17:52, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Patrolling
Can you mark pages 'patrolled' when going through them? That way there won't be redundant double-checking. Thank you. -- Mentifisto 17:55, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Request
Hi, could you help me out with this vandal. His main target is List of All Grown Up! characters, although he has vandalised other articles. I've given him many warnings. He even had a block a few weeks ago after I reported him at AIV. He now likes to wait a few days after a level 4 warning before starting to vandalise again! but the message about not vandalising at all just doesn't seem to be getting through. Cheers! - Thats great thanks! I strongly suspect that this vandal is the same one i've been battling ever since I joined Wikipedia. It might be worth keeping your eye on that article as he could come back in the next few days with a new IP. Agian, thanks! :-) John Sloan (view / chat) 18:51, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
