Notability of Mykill miers

Now that you've been properluy welcomed, I'd like to point out that one of the issues that Wikipedia takes very seriously is copyright violation. It appears that much of the material has been copied from other web sites, several of which have copyright notices on them. Please remove this content (others might take the initiative and remove it proactively) and replace it with material non-copyrighted material. Are you still there?

I apologize on behalf of the Wikipedia community for your initial bad experience trying to create the Mykill Miers article and the related album. As a new editor, it can sometimes be easy to run afoul with Wikipedia's policies and unfortunately, the response is sometimes unduly harsh, and often give someone such as yourself insufficient time to properly respond.

Unfortunately, Wikipedia is a target of much vandalism and vanity editing, and those who patrol for and revert such activity often must make quick decisions and move on without taking the time to gather all of the facts. However, in defense of the actions, I'd like to point out that of all the policies and guidelines that drive Wikipedia, copyright infringement is one of the two that Wikipedia takes very seriously (the other being unsourced controversial information in biographies of living persons). It is unacceptable to copy information from a copyrighted source and paste it into a Wikipedia article. That is the primary reason that your article was deleted. (I would have preferred to see the offending edits rolled back, allowing you to continue your work, but the other editor elected a different option.)

I for one believe you were making a good faith effort to add useful content to Wikipedia, which should be applauded. A simple google search for Mykill Miers appears to show that (in my opinion) there is more than enough coverage of him and his works, such as this article to satisfy the the Wikipedia's policies for notoriety. I hope you return. If you do, I will be more than happy to assist you in recreating the articles which were deleted. One suggestion when starting articles - get some references ready and insert them into the article early on to avoid having the articles tagged and processed for speedy deletion a second time.

I hope I didn't "bite" you when I deleted the copyright violation. It's as Tcncv just said; the sheer volume of copyright violations and real vandalism we delete on a daily basis is staggering and misunderstandings sometimes happen.
