Control copyright icon Hello Odirichi2024! Your additions to Elena Maroulleti have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:45, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Commas after article names

[edit]

Hello. I note you are adding commas after article names (for example "Kenneth Minshull Robathan (1 September 1889 – 2 February 1965), was an English first-class cricketer, British Indian Army officer and clergyman." It is not grammatically correct to insert a comma after the article name, or subject dates of birth and death. Please revert any that you may have done. Stop icon You have used sources that are either clearly noted as paid placement, unmarked press releases or marketing content, or blatant fake content farms which house unmarked SEO placement. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. These sources step far beyond those policies. Please carefully evaluate your references in the future, and ensure that you are in compliance with our mandatory paid editing disclosures. Sam Kuru (talk) 02:59, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Real Don Daddy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Draftify

[edit]

Hey, I noticed you recently draftified the article “Draft:Ramin Hosseinpour.” You draftified the article within 13 minutes of its creation, which is against the guidelines. Additionally, you did not notify the article’s author about this action. I request that you self-revert the draftification and use the MoveToDraft tool in the future for such actions. GrabUp - Talk 18:22, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

After reviewing your move log, I found that you have made similar moves in the past. For example, “Draft:Real Don Daddy” was draftified within 21 minutes, and again, the author was not notified. GrabUp - Talk 18:28, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about the mistake, and thank you for bringing it to my noticed. I will revert the later Letslovekeepustogether (talk) 18:30, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Odirichi2024: I also noticed that you don’t have Rollbacker user rights, nor have you ever been granted. Yet, you’ve added a user box that states, “This user has rollback rights on the English Wikipedia.” Kindly remove it, or I have to notify an admin. GrabUp - Talk 18:35, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Normally see the rollback options, probably thought I have the right. Thank you anyway. I appreciate. Warm regards Letslovekeepustogether (talk) 18:48, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I tried to reverse as you requested but couldn't. Please, I have taken noticed of your advice. I will apply in future. High Regards. Letslovekeepustogether (talk) 19:00, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • In response to your statement about article naming I would refer you to WP:MOS, which clearly states: "Reduce names of companies or other trademarks from all caps to sentence case, unless they are acronyms or initialisms, even if the company normally writes them in all caps." As such the article should be Aktina not AKTINA. Dan arndt (talk) 06:24, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Aktina Productions, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Odirichi2024, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Odirichi2024|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 07:49, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Same goes to Aktina FM and other articles you've created. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 07:50, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've blocked this account as a likely undisclosed paid editor. You've been made aware of the requirement to identify your conflicts previously. Additionally, there is significant overlap with multiple globally blocked paid editors (Calyx2s, Gladysgab). Sam Kuru (talk) 18:09, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
