Nascar results
[edit]Hi, I see you are relatively new to wikipedia. I noticed your edits on NASCAR result tables. I noticed some mistakes on your edits. I would like to point out the color purple is used to indicate a driver did not finish the race. It has nothing to do with the finishing position. And if a driver finished the race outside the top-20 the color is always blue. Please use the Key in order to fill in result tables. Best regards, Jahn1234567890 (talk) 14:24, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Talladega Superspeedway into 2021 Ag-Pro 300. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 18:58, 9 September 2021 (UTC)

[edit]An article you recently created, 2022 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

The article Greg Van Alst has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. [edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. Hello!
[edit]Hey! I'm Tristan, also known as Nascar9919. I noticed that you do race reports for both the Xfinity and Truck Series. That's awesome, we really needed better coverage of those races for years! :D However, in my opinion, there are still things that could be improved on. I usually like to put a short race summary on how the winner won as the lead for the article. Usually, it would go something like "The [race name] was the [number of race] of the [season] and the [number of iteration] of [event]. The race was held on [date] in [location, track, short description of track]. The race [# of laps]. [Put summary of how winner of race won], it was [put of win # and win # of season]. To fill out the podium, [put podium finishers here]. The entry list and background do not need to be seperate headings in my opinion. Also, the track layout I usually think is better when put in the background, with the logo being the image in the infobox. Entry list, in my opinion, could also use sponsors. Practice can have the time it was held and who was fastest. Qualifying can also have the time it was held, the qualifying system used, and who was the fastest. If possible, all three rounds can be put, but this is harder for older articles. Also, the "starting lineups" subheader should be "Full qualifying results", or just "Full starting lineup" in event of a rainout. Last, Race and Race results I just combine into one heading: "Race results". Makes it overall neater. If you need a reference page, check out something like 2018 Ford EcoBoost 300, or any page I made in my userbox. Once again, thank you very much for your page creations, here's to more to race reports for the Trucks and Xfinity Series!Nascar9919 (talk) 02:48, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

Ways to improve 2022 NHRA Winternationals
[edit]Hello, Nascarbball24,
Thank you for creating 2022 NHRA Winternationals.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
This article is missing prose, which means it fails notability for sports events. Sport event articles should consist mainly of well-sourced prose, not just statistics and lists of participants, in this case, drag racing drivers. Wikipedia is not a stats directory. See WP:NSEASONS for guidance. Failing this notabilty guide, this article may be redirected to the main National Hot Rod Association page.

Ways to improve Steve Torrence
[edit]Hello, Nascarbball24,
Thank you for creating Steve Torrence.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
This article needs more references to satisfy notability for sport. What is needed are references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact referred to, that meet these tough criteria is likely to allow this article to remain. Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the topic is not suitable for inclusion. Kindly do the needful. Thank you.

Thank you for creating Han Yoo-seom.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
What is needed are references from significant coverage about this player, and not their own words; in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. Lists, Team rosters, Soccerway, Instagram, Facebook, none of these are reliable sources. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - see WP:NSPORT ) You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally giving more information about this player, that meet these criteria is likely to allow this article to remain. Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the topic is not suitable for inclusion. Kindly do the needful. Thank you.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}

The article Eric Rhead has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
One race over one year and statistics sites for references don't give this article credibility. Fails notability for WP:NSPORT and GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Whiteguru (talk) 01:57, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

The article Matt Wilson (racing driver) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references.
NASCARfan0548 ↗ 02:04, 5 May 2022 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Tanner Arms
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Tanner Arms requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tanner Arms. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Article creations
[edit]Hi there, this is a warning to let you know that your article creations are not meeting the requirements at WP:GNG and they may be deleted at any time. Please stop creating articles with barely any references and just result tables. Find some reliable sources first before creating the articles. Thank you for reading this message. :) NASCARfan0548 ↗ 02:14, 5 May 2022 (UTC)

[edit]In the future, can you please be more aware of the general notability guidelines as well as WP:NMOTORSPORT when creating articles? I appreciate your willingness to create articles, but it is hard to write articles about subjects with very little coverage in independent sources, and simply attempting to qualify in a Truck or Xfinity race does not make someone notable enough for inclusion. -"Ghost of Dan Gurney" 04:38, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hello! Apologies for the lack of communication. I honestly have no idea how to communicate, as all I have done is edits and creating pages. I have done no communication with any other editors. If I could have some guidance towards how to communicate, I would definitely begin to do so. Hopefully this is what I'm supposed to do! Thanks for your consideration, and apologies for the lack of communication.
Accept reason:

- Quick question; how do you exactly edit? Is it on the desktop, or mainly through a phone or tablet? Nate • (chatter) 22:05, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Why (after being blocked), do you 'now' know how to communicate? GoodDay (talk) 22:22, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- I edit on a laptop, as well as on a phone. Nascarbball24 (talk) 23:04, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- I didn't realise that I needed to communicate on my userpage, so I never really looked into how to communicate. But after a small amount of research, I found the basics to it. However, I will certainly begin to improve my communications. Again, apologies for the lack of communication. My only goal is to improve the site! Nascarbball24 (talk) 23:06, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response at communication. Wikipedia is based on collaboration, not just improving articles. NASCARfan0548 ↗ 23:08, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Sounds good! I will begin to focus more effort into communication .Nascarbball24 (talk) 23:13, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Your block has now expired, I'm sorry nobody got to it in the 3 days. Thank you for committing to communicating better. Stifle (talk) 13:17, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
Sort order
[edit]Hello! I wanted to point out a small detail in the baseball player articles you have been creating. When you sort the categories, using DEFAULTSORT, please be aware that South Korean players' names are written in the order "family name" "given name". Therefore, when sorting, please use the same order. For example, player Kim Ji-yong sorts as "Kim, Ji-yong", so that the family name is listed first, as is done for the vast majority of Wikipedia articles about people. Thanks! --Ken Gallager (talk) 18:26, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

Non-championship Le Mans entries
[edit]You should have a look at the FIA WEC standings before updating driver pages. All the one-off Le Mans entries you are editing on are NOT part of the FIA WEC championship and do not score nor block points (neither for the drivers nor for the teams). They are practically ommitted when it comes to the standings. Consequently, the results of many of the actual WEC entries you've edited are wrong—for example, Ultimate aren't P24, but P14. I've corrected this at Sophia Flörsch and Jack Aitken, please correct the rest yourself and obviously take it into consideration for all future updates you do. Dutch Boy 150 (Gateway)
[edit]In the Dutch Boy 150 (Gateway) you added East and West combo races as well, but I think they should be a separate article, because ARCA only became part of NASCAR in 2020, and those races ended up extinct in 2020. And unlike Music City 200 for example, both series ran at the track in 2018 and 2019, so those races don't have much connection with each other. Can I create the K&N East and K&N West race article separately? It makes more sense to me. Thanks Luks25 (talk) 21:13, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
- That sounds like a good idea, it definitely does warrant its own page. Thanks! Nascarbball24 (talk) 21:33, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

2022 Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, 2022 Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Parker Kligerman
[edit]Hi! I am very appreciative of your contributions to this site! I am not very versed on Wikipedia edits and don’t want to mess something up. Parker Kligerman raced at IMS in the Xfinity race 2022 Pennzoil 150 and finished 37th. However, on his page under Motorsports career results this hasn’t been updated for his 2022 xfinity results. Onel5969 TT me 12:44, 26 October 2022 (UTC)The article 2022 NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
There is already another article there for this season, called as 2022 NASCAR Mexico Series, so this article should be deleted.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
