please help me i crate this article more than 20 times but you are blocking my article why what i do for you
- @Rahi1998: Wikipedia has inclusion guidelines for what can and cannot be included in the encyclopedia. One of these guidelines is that the topic of the article must have been the subject of significant coverage in reliable sources; that is, there are sources (online or offline) by reliable sources (what constitutes a reliable source is determined on a case-by-case basis, but a good rule of thumb is that the source is an authority on the field, and/or said source is also considered reliable by others in the field). Based on what I could find, this BBC Lanka appears not to have been covered by such sources, and in fact, I can find little-to-no evidence that this company is even an actual television station like what is claimed in the article. [edit]What does it mean when you review an article? Thank you The Kingfisher (talk) 08:09, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- @The Kingfisher: It's a simple check to allow articles, particularly newly-created ones, to be indexed by search engines such as Google. It also serves as a rough check for newpage patrollers to see if a newly-created article meets inclusion guidelines or has been nominated for deletion. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:19, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

This may not necessarily strictly meet the no content CSD criteria. Please feel free to revert my tag and PROD it (or AFD it) if you think that's more appropriate, because I'm not particularly sure about it. I was musing over it when I noticed you'd made the AFD. - @Thompson.matthew: Let an admin decide what to do with the article. If an admin decides that the article does meet A3 and deletes it then so be it. If an admin declines the speedy nomination then that would be the time for AFD. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 16:34, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Yetiforce on Wikipedia
[edit]Dear Narutolovehinata5, Thank you for your service in reviewing entries. The company I work with and for myself personally, this is our first time submitting an entry into Wikipedia. So I would kindly ask for your assistance in helping us understand what we need to change so that the appropriate information about our company is included in Wikipedia. My understanding is that there is not coverage about our software is this correct? Also if I understand well, it seems one other observer feels we made a statement that is advertisement. Is this the link to the Yetiforce store, "and paid support, available in the form of support packages sold in the store." I am really trying to learn, so I hope this is not to amateurish to ask these kinds of questions. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon. Benjaminburg (talk) 22:12, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Again, thank you for quick response. I think we handled the change with COI. I hope.
Just so I can learn more. Would you mind explaining in your opinion why companies like SuiteCRM and Epesi pass the notability condition? Can you please explain the difference.
Benjaminburg (talk) 11:54, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Thank you
- @Benjaminburg: Right now that article is severely lacking in references, but a search proves that in the case of SuiteCRM at least it has been covered by reliable sources such as Opensource.org, Datamation, and Enterprise Apps Today. These hits appear to be independent of the company, meaning these pages were not written to promote or advertise, and were written by third-parties. In the case of your company, coverage by third-parties, let alone reliable ones, is sorely lacking. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:00, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

New Page Review - newsletter No.2
[edit]- A HUGE backlog
We now have 804 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.
The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.
- Second set of eyes
Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.
- Abuse
This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and
- this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
- this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
- This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.
Coordinator election
[edit]Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

Answer to the: "Speedy deletion nomination of Arcticus System AB[edit source]"
I intend to fix the page according to the Wiki's criteria, however, i was just creating some pointers.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles. A tag has been placed on Arcticus System AB requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. D.Gray-man
[edit]As the original GA reviewer of the article D.Gray-man, do you think it lacks something besides copyediting (I requested the guild some weeks ago) before becoming a FA? I will try to make this article FA. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 18:21, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: I would suggest you read the article School Rumble and use that article as a basis for the article. D.Gray-man is a well-written article, but while it's comprehensive at the moment, it's not ready for FA just yet. One suggestion I can give right now is for you to look for sources regarding the anime's production: how was an anime adaptation suggested? Why was one made? How were the characters cast? What went into the production of the anime? In addition, could the "books" and "video games" sections be expanded further, if possible? Lastly, and this is something I learned during the peer reviews for Puella Magi Madoka Magica: a wider variety sources should be used, particularly Japanese ones. While using primarily ANN is acceptable up to GA status, beyond that, relying too much on that source is seen as a flaw. At the moment, around half of the article's references cite ANN; it would probably be a good idea to add non-ANN citations as well to bring that proportion down. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 22:43, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. The 9th volume of the manga has info about the making of the first anime. Where should I put it? In anime adaptations? Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 23:53, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: Production section, possibly in a subsection titled "anime". Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:00, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- Due to finding info for only one paragraph, I guess I shouldn't create a subsection.Tintor2 (talk) 01:35, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- Also, I tried reducing the use of ANN in sales' section. However, ANN is the only site that posts news about the hiatus.Tintor2 (talk) 16:10, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: If ANN is the only source that's available, then feel free to use it. Just avoid using it all the time, especially if other sources can be used. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 16:11, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

- @Tintor2: As long as you currently don't have more than five DYK nominations you should be fine. However, once you have exceeded five DYK nominations, for every nomination you make, you must review at least one other DYK nomination: this is called quid pro quo. You can read the guidelines on how to review DYK hooks over at WP:DYK. Although you are still exempt from QPQ at this point, I suggest that you start doing QPQ reviews now so that by the time you are required to do QPQ reviews, it would already be a habit. - Added a bit more. The problem is that some parts of the character weren't discussed due to future developments of the series such as his true identity.Tintor2 (talk) 01:59, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
- If you can find sources discussing said development, then you can add them to the article. Remember that Wikipedia allows spoilers in plot sections, so there's no reason not to includent. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:07, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

DYK for Maon Kurosaki
[edit]On 10 April 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Maon Kurosaki, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that prior to her major debut, singer Maon Kurosaki posed as a gravure model for the cover of a novel? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Maon Kurosaki. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Maon Kurosaki), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. [edit]Since rolling out the right in November, just 6 months ago, we now have 804 reviewers, but the backlog is still mysteriously growing fast. If every reviewer did just 55 reviews, the 22,000 backlog would be gone, in a flash, schwoop, just like that!

Madoka Magica
[edit]Hello, Naruto!!! I hope you're doing good. So, I saw you guys wanting to nominate Madoka for FA but it seems that the article is kind of incomplete. I was browsing the Japanese magical girl wiki, and it is written that Madoka has become a social phenomenon in Japan. It's even written in this site: http://uchiagehanabi.jp/ "Magical Girl Madoka ☆ Magica" that has become a social phenomenon" So, I think we should include this in Madoka's article, and we should also expand the article. What do you think? You're the main contributor to the article and this is why I'm complaining to you :) I think we should also invite Artichoker to the discussion. Don't forget to ping me when replying!UnknownUsername480 (talk) 21:36, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oh, I also forgot to ask you this, but can we split and create an article to Rebellion alone? Check its talk page UnknownUsername480 (talk) 21:43, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
Naruto, please, reply. :( UnknownUsername480 (talk) 18:00, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late reply, I was out of town for two days. I think it would be good to see if there's consensus for such a split. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:05, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- It's okay. So, I think you're against the split? And what about the 'social phenomenon' thing? I think it should be added to the main article... UnknownUsername480 (talk) 18:37, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Kind of. We need to see if there's sufficient material and coverage for the Rebellion independent of the franchise to warrant a separate article from the Films article. In addition, if we split Rebellion, we might as well give the other two films their own articles as well. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 22:59, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Wait, the first two movies can have an article together and we can title it as Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie while Rebellion can have its own article since it's an original story unlike the first two. I think I should create it on my sandbox and then you can decide whether to split or not. What do you think of this idea? UnknownUsername480 (talk) 21:39, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

Contesting deletion of my submitted Wiki article
[edit]Hello! I recently posted my first Wikipedia article on 'Dr. Khaled Mahdi,' and after its first deletion, I made some fundamental changes and re-posted it, only to find you had marked it for deletion.
I would like to contest the deletion as I have modelled the page's writing, content, and formatting based on established/accepted Wikipedia biographies of a living person such as Ban Ki Moon's and others (and those are still up). The content is not made up but I have utilised extensive sources and bibliographies and complete information, etc., on this important public figure, and I've stuck as closely to that format as possible, so I don't think there's a reason for its removal (unless you'd like to delete those too of course).
If you still think I need to make any changes I'd sincerely appreciate if you could give me more detailed advice on what needs to be done, otherwise I'd be very grateful if you could kindly restore the page.

Hi I'm sorry but I'm going to have to unreview this page as the author does not meet WP:NAUTHOR. It requires that even if he has created a collective body of work, as is the case here, "such work must have been the primary subject of an independent and notable work (for example, a book, film, or television series, but usually not a single episode of a television series) or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews." and this is not supported by the sources.

[edit]Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
- Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.

Speedy deletion nomination of User talk:Sharmalakshya
[edit]A tag has been placed on User talk:Sharmalakshya requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Inverse Warburg Effect
[edit]Dear Narutolovehinata5
Thank you for your objective evaluation that the article is not promotional. As regards your comment that the article is 'fringe', I am forwarding a message I also sent to Roger Hayworth. In this message I give three links to scientific evaluations of the theory. One of the links is to the Harvard Gazette, two are to European national newspapers. The latter two reports are in German, however, google translations can immediately be accessed.
"The Inverse Warburg effect, as cited in the Wikipedia entry, is an empirical observation which has been documented in studies of neurodegenerative diseases (ref. 1-6) and autoimmune diseases (ref. 17-20). The Inverse Warburg Hypothesis described in a separate Wikipedia Entry provides a biochemical and bioenergetic explanation of the Inverse Warburg effect. The model also accounts for the inverse association of cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. A significant feature of the model is the new class of therapeutic strategies proposed to prevent certain neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease, and chronic autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis.
The theory has generated attention in the scientific community; reports of this work have appeared in scientific publications and the news media. Pertinent news media references are: - Harvard Gazette, 25th Feb. 2015: “A new understanding of Alzheimer’s”, by Peter Reuell (http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2015/02/a-new-understanding-of-alzheimers/) - Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), 2nd Aug. 2015 : “Alzheimer: Heilung – wie nah ist man wirklich dran?“, by Joachim Müller-Jung (http://www.faz.net/aktuell/wissen/medizin-ernaehrung/streitgespraech-alzheimer-heilung-wie-nah-ist-man-wirklich-dran-13722068.html?printPagedArticle=true#pageIndex_2) - Neue Züricher Zeitung (NZZ), 21st Feb. 2015: „Alzheimer – Sind die Forscher auf dem Irrweg?“, by Theres Lüthi (https://www.nzz.ch/nzzas/nzz-am-sonntag/gegen-alzheimer-gibt-es-noch-immer-kein-medikament--weil-die-forscher-auf-dem-irrweg-sind-1.18483526)"

Incorrect Information
[edit]Hey there, just wanted to let you know that you have false information on your crayon shin chan wiki page. Taiwan is not a province of China, and it is not stated as one officially. It is very offensive to any Taiwanese person who reads it and very misleading to others. Please remove it or edit the text so that It does not imply Taiwan as part of China since it is a very touchy subject. I am not sure if you intentionally wrote that in order to spite the Taiwanese people or just didn't know. If it's the ladder, then it is understandable. But if not, then I don't know to feel about it other than utter disappointment.
I hope you are having a good day. -Felix — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.1.58 (talk) 14:55, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
- While I am fully aware of the China-Taiwan dispute (and indeed, Wikipedia does state that Taiwan is de-facto independent from China), such discussions belong on articles related to China and Taiwan, not on articles about Crayon Shin-chan of all things. - @Phoenix God: Adding categories is really easy, just add [[Category:<category name here>]] to the end of the article; repeat if you want to add more categories. As for the reviews, it seems all of them are from reliable sources; if reviews exist on those sites for Oppai Volleyball, then feel free to add them to the article too. @Narutolovehinata5: Is it okay if i make an article about Tomodachi Game (manga). Its details are here.[1] Since you're a new page reviewer, i think i should ask you directly because it takes quite some time to create an article. -- Phoenix God (talk) 07:35, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Phoenix God: If you wish to create an article but want feedback, you could create a userspace draft, or better yet, try Wikipedia:Articles for creation. As for Tomodachi Game, it appears to have coverage from ANN and elsewhere, so I think it's notable and has enough sources to have a decently-written article. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:03, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: Thank you. I just want to confirm if Tomodachi Game is notable enough to has a page on wikipedia or not. Because i don't want to waste my time on a article that will be deleted. Btw that's not the first article i will be creating. -- Phoenix God (talk) 11:30, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Phoenix God: It's best to just be bold and write an article, without worrying about deletion. As long as the manga has been significantly covered in reliable sources (in the manga's case, that could be in English or Japanese), then it's unlikely to be nominated for deletion. Also: notability can change: what may not be notable in the past may become notable in the present or future (the reverse rarely happens though, and when it does, it's due to stronger notability guidelines). Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:51, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
Can you please add categories in Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii article. Phoenix God (talk) 13:03, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Phoenix God: It should be pretty easy to add categories to the article yourself: just add [[Category:<name of category>]] to the end of the article (one per category; make sure to use the preview function to check if the category you added exists). In addition, you could also use tools like Wikipedia:HotCat to make the process even easier (as it also gives suggestions and corrections). Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 13:35, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry! I know that but i don't want to add categories myself because i am an Otaku before a wikipedian, and i dislikes to lable them. But, here on wikipedia, we needs categories in article. That's why i always ask others.
- Also, that page is not reviewed yet. Phoenix God (talk) 14:34, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Phoenix God: It doesn't matter if it's not reviewed yet, the article could always be worked on. Also, being an otaku is not a hindrance for categorizing articles; if anything, it's actually an advantage. And in any case, most categories are uncontroversial (i.e. 2017 anime television series, Anime based on original screenplays, Romance anime and manga, etc.), and as long as these categories are verifiable, they shouldn't be a problem. - You're right but still i don't feel like adding categories. So please add them on my place. Phoenix God (talk) 16:36, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Shin uchiha
[edit]Hello Narutolovehinata5. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Shin uchiha, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not an unambiguous copyright infringement, or there is other content to save. Thank you. Primefac (talk) 14:15, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- Specifically, it's the fact that http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Shin_Uchiha is released under a CC-BY-SA license (i.e. it can be copied provided attribution is given). Primefac (talk) 14:16, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Why are you going to delete my article? I followed all wikipedia's guidelines and spent ages gathering information then typing it for the benefit of giving knowledge to others. 10^10a (talk) 15:30, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- First of all, I am not deleting the article (and I cannot do so anyway since I am not a Wikipedia administrator); consensus among Wikipedia users will determine if the article should be deleted or not, with an administrator making a decision at least a week from now. It's been nominated for deletion because the nominator (in this case, me) does not believe that the accident satisfies Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Specifically, has the incident been the subject of significant coverage in reliable sources? Meaning, was it covered extensively in one or more reliable sources? If so, (and this is more relevant in the case of vehicular incidents), did the incident have a long-lasting effect on at least a local scale? Did it lead to changes in law or other practices? Of course, other users could and are free to say otherwise, but in my opinion, it does not. But hey, that's what discussion is for; if consensus determines that in fact the accident does satisfy those questions, then the article might not be deleted. I was never disagreeing that it was the right action to take, I just thought you were a touch speedy with your speedy (14 minutes for a page with an {{in use}} tag). Definitely enough time has passed now with no updates that it's no concern (in case you were curious it seems that she's the niece of Fiona Bruce). New Page Reviewer Newsletter
[edit]Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 16,991 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
Technology update:
- Rentier has created a NPP browser in WMF Labs that allows you to search new unreviewed pages using keywords and categories.
General project update:
- The Wikimedia Foundation Community Tech team is working with the community to implement the autoconfirmed article creation trial. The trial is currently set to start on 7 September 2017, pending final approval of the technical features.
- Please remember to focus on the quality of review: correct tagging of articles and not tagbombing are important. Searching for potential copyright violations is also important, and it can be aided by Earwig's Copyvio Detector, which can be added to your toolbar for ease of use with this user script.
- To keep up with the latest conversation on New Pages Patrol or to ask questions, you can go to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and add it to your watchlist.

Thank you for your careful review on an article I wrote.
You are asking "published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject".
I would like to respectfully remind you that he applies to the criteria, possibly 7, of Wikipedia:Notability (academics), which does not require significant secondary resources to demonstrate their biographies.
The reference 4 is a statement by an official investigation committee established among two universities. The fact that the committee independent of subject concluded that the he made misconduct is the best reliable third-party proof of the fact. Multiple media coverage are based on this statement by the committee, including reference 5.
This statement was also strengthened by another statement made by JSPS, a governmental organization, which announced that they banned the subject to apply grant for 7 years, by citing the original statement. This serves as a secondary source.
In addition, independent of these official investigation, a webpage by an anonymous volunteer, indeed used the data in the original publication to demonstrate the unequivocal evidence of data manipulation. This is not in the reference but is listed in the external link.
I noticed that reference 5 was no longer available, which will be eliminated.
Please let me know if satisfies your concern.
- You may need to add said media coverage to the draft first. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:16, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you again for your comment.
- According to your suggestion, two media articles are added to the draft. Please let me know if you think they are sufficient to support the content of the article.
- Dear Narutolovehinata5,
- I wonder if you had chance to check my revision. If anything still helps, please let me know.
- --133.3.201.51 (talk) 06:02, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
- I've taken a look at the draft, and basically there are still a lot of unsourced statements in the draft, particularly the "Career" section (which may needed to be converted into a prose section instead of a list). Please supply footnotes. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 06:43, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
- In response to your suggestions, I added two more references in the Career section. One of them is a public (governmental) database on research grants. Nothing can be more reliable. Also, I made sure that all sentences have appropriate references. It is rewritten into a narrative style. --133.3.201.51 (talk) 02:50, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

AfC submission
[edit]Hey, you recently accepted the AfC submission Draft:Felida97/Aaron Sorkin Awards. I believe that was a mistake. Even though I wrote the draft, I didn't submit it as an AfC, because it is not a publishable article yet, like not even close. I say that, because it is a very early draft. I just copy and pasted another awards list I created to have a structure for this one, and so far have only adjusted the Golden Globes to the awards of Aaron Sorkin (and even then I didn't adjust the references). Then I worked on other drafts and articles, and kind of forgot about it. That is where the draft was, when it was submitted. As I understand, it was submitted to keep it from a speedy deletion (G13), which I think is fine, even though it is not ready to be published.
But why did you accept an AfC submission into the mainspace that has so many problems? Just to name a few obvious ones: 1. the infobox, where I left space for a picture, and the total amount of awards and nominations, still looks the same, 2. the awards are not the awards of Aaron Sorkin (except the Golden Globes) but the awards of Ron Howard, and even the linked IMDb page is labeled 'Ron Howard' and not 'Aaron Sorkin', 3. the section 'Other awards' exists but has no awards in it (since I hadn't filled them in like most of the draft). These things alone should be enough for the AfC submission to be rejected and not accepted, I think, though I'm not very fond of the AfC guidelines.
So my question to resolve this problem is: could you move the page back into draftspace or my userspace, because I really don't think it belongs in the mainspace (yet), and I would never create an article in such a state? I would also be fine with a speedy deletion, since it probably qualifies for that in the form that it is right now. But maybe there is another explanation for your actions that I somehow missed. Thanks Felida97 (talk) 11:41, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
@Legacypac: Just mentioning Legacypac since he submitted the draft and commented on the AfC submission, and may be more or less interested in this. Felida97 (talk) 11:43, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
It looked pretty good on it's face - too good to Speedy Delete G13 (which is happening to abandoned drafts now). You can move it anywhere you like or seek deletion. Legacypac (talk) 11:47, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Legacypac: @Felida97: The draft looked good enough to be published, and while there were some "errors" in the draft (like what you've mentioned so far), these could easily be fixed regardless if they were in the mainspace or not. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:51, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: @Legacypac: I guess that's sort of my fault for creating drafts based on previous drafts. The contents just would need to be replaced almost entirely which I rather do in the draft space. But thank you for explaining and resolving it so quickly. Felida97 (talk) 12:02, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
I've shifted it back to Draft:List of awards and nominations received by Aaron Sorkin for now. Legacypac (talk) 11:55, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

Article draft: CAUTG declined
[edit]Hello Narutolovehinata5, I am wondering why you have declined my article the second time. The reason for your first no vote seemed clear enough so I went through and amply expanded the references included. As you write now: " Independent and significant coverage is still needed. Sources from or affiliated with the association are not sufficient." Yet my sources are largely unaffiliated. 1: is an independently published book. 2: is the Government of Canada 3: is an independent, peer reviewed article 4: is a host organization with links to 80+ groups like the CAUTG, and 80 universities. 5: is an academic publisher (the University of Toronto) that is required to maintain a neutral stance towards Seminar and has no interest in falsely promoting it 6: is an independent, peer reviewed article 7: is an independently published book 8: is admittedly from Seminar, but this is the second citation for the same info 9: is admittedly from Seminar's website, but this is citing a list of the journal's editors. Unless someone were to write an explicit history of the journal, it is unlikely this list would appear elsewhere. As you see, most of these sources are independent. While #9 is not, it provides relevant information not available elsewhere. Please let me know specifically which citations you would like to see improved. Thanks, Sean. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SeanMcPhail (talk • contribs) 12:30, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- @SeanMcPhail: I do not have access to any of the offline sources in the article, so could you kindly provide quotes from the offline sources that discuss the organization? In addition, it appears that the sources discuss more about German linguistics studies than the organization, at least from what the titles appear to suggest. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Sure thing. Let me know if there are any more you need access to:
Which translates to: "With regard to German-as-a-Second-Language research, Canadian German studies has proved to be particularly relevant in intercultural research...The Canadian federation has been organized in six provincial associations since the 1970s. In addition, there is the Canadian Association of German Language Schools (KVDS, founded in 1977) as well as CAUTG (founded in 1962) and the ever-growing national and cross-institutional Canadian Association of Teachers of German (CATG), founded in 1997 as a fusion of the Western Council on the Teaching of German [WCTG] with the Canadian Council on the Teaching of German."
- Also from Guse: "Stärker als bisher sollten Deutschabteilungen ihre Graduate-Studenten und Kollegen zum Besuch der Jahresversammlung der CATG ermuntern, auch wenn seit einigen Jahren auf der CAUTG-Tagung ebenfalls linguistische und pädagogische Themen zur Diskussion stehen und somit ein wichtiger Schritt zur Integration der DaF-Pädagogik in die traditionell, literaturwissenschaftlich dominierte Germanistik geleistet wurde." Which translates to: "Even more than before, German departments should encourage their graduate students and colleagues to attend the annual meeting of the CATG [Canadian Association of Teachers of German—the secondary school equivalent of the CAUTG, see above quotation]; linguistic and pedagogical topics have also been discussed for some years at the CAUTG meeting and thus represent an important step towards the integration of German-as-a-Second-Language pedagogy into German studies, traditionally dominated by the study of literature."
- From Arnott et al.: "The Canadian Association of University Teachers of German (CAUTG), for example, recommended in 2012 that German departments align their language programs with the CEFR to facilitate student mobility and ensure appropriate course placement of incoming postsecondary students, citing the framework’s competencies scale and international acceptance beyond Europe as especially valuable."
- From Gibbs and Johnson: "Seminar: A Journal of Germanic Studies. Toronto. Univ. of Toronto Press. 1965. Quarterly since 1974. Sponsored by the Canadian Association of University Teachers of German and the Germanic Section of the Australasian Universities Language and Literature Association."
- If I can find time I will be adding a few more sources tonight. eg.: From Hans-Jürgen Krumm: "Speziell für Lehrende an Colleges und Universitäten ist der kanadische Hochschulgermnistenverband (CAUTG Canadian Association of University Teachers of German) zuständig. Er widmet sich hauptsächlich der Forschung und Vernetzung von GermanistInnen, veranstaltet jedoch auch in Kooperation mit dem Goethe-Institut anlässlich seiner jährlichen Tagungen regelmäßig Workshops zur Lehrerfortbildung." Which translates to: "The Canadian Germanist University Association (CAUTG Canadian Association of University Teachers of German) is responsible for teaching at colleges and universities. It is mainly devoted to the research and networking of German-speaking people, but also organizes workshops for teacher training in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut on the occasion of its annual conferences."
In the meantime, hopefully you will find these helpful. Sorry for the poor formatting—still learning here. SeanMcPhail (talk) 21:31, 31 August 2017 (UTC)SeanMcPhail

Blaakyum page draft
[edit]Hello Narutolovehinata5, thanks for the updates on that page.
Additionally to the problems that wikipedia reports, I think the biggest threat to this page failing the review is that the amount of information in it is disproportional to the band's fame. I have seen other pages and I think an unsaid rule is that this proportionality must exist. The page should be at least a third of its size in my opinion. The biography section in particular is probably way too big.
Having said that, I don't have much experience with this, I cannot find a 'talk' page, to discuss the draft with the other contributors, where do I find such a draft page where one can mention the other contributors and discuss changes with them? If there is no such page, what is the process for doing this?
Best, Jad
Thank you reviewing the article. I don't think that "Multi-objective linear programming" should be included as a subsection to "Multi-objective Optimization". The theory about this subarea is too rich in order to treat it in a subsection. By the same reason there is an article about "Linear Programming"; It is not just a subsection of "Mathematical Programming". The draft is just a beginning. Many other aspects can be added, like duality, solution algorithms, applications.

Cumberland House Rejection
[edit]Cumberland House Rejection
[edit]kumusta po kayou? Hi there. You asked that I use sources independent of the University of Toronto. I used three references and only one of them was related to the university of Toronto. The other two references are independent websites that focus on historical buildings in Canada. My article is noteworthy and describes a 157 year old building that was built and occupied by one of Canada's most famous architects. I strongly believe in precedent and have been using wikipedia for quite some time now. When I click on random article for fun I am aghast at what has been approved as an article. Articles one sentence long and articles with zero references have been approved but my well researched article article is declined? I hope I don't come across as disrespectful, I am just surprised that my article was declined. I look forward to reading your response. Cheers
- @VoraciousEditor: At the moment, there are only three references in the article, all of which have been duplicated several times in the article. The University of Toronto citation, for example, is repeated eight times, which isn't by itself problematic, although there's an easier way to cite that way: see WP:CITE for more information. The Wholemap.com link (itself of questionable reliability, by our definition of reliable sources) is repeated nine times. The most promising source is the Torontoplaques.com citation, but that wouldn't suffice. The article is well-written and would have been accepted already had the referencing been better. You are free to work on the draft; if possible, please try to provide significant coverage from independent reliable sources (ideally those not affiliated with the University of Toronto); these may be online or offline. This search is a good start.
- As an aside, you may need to read WP:OSE. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:05, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there, Narutolovehinata5! Thanks so much for reviewing my AfC submission for NetScaler and taking it live. Now that it's live, would you mind removing the connected contributor template and the {{COI}} banner from the article? I added the connected contributor template to the draft at AfC to make sure that editors noted my COI when reviewing, but these generally only live on the Talk page (you'll see I'd added one there too). For the COI banner, this was added when reviewers were looking over the originally submitted draft back in April. Since I've made edits to address their concerns and no new ones have been raised, can this be removed? Thanks in advance! 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 12:56, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- You're welcome; however, the COI template needs to stay for now for disclosure reasons; someone else might remove it later on. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 13:01, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- Totally agreed that disclosure is important, however my understanding from the connected contributor template instructions is that it only needs to remain on the Talk page. I've added a number of external links, most in the "Approach and Programs" section, which both identify particular country programs and also expand in various ways on the organization. Some of the links are from "major" MSM like HuffPost and CBC.ca. If it is a matter of the ratio of external links to internal, I can remove some of those, but that seems childish and I don't think that's what you meant! :-) Wonder if I could ask you please to take a look at it again, and if there are still specific sections that you think sound like an ad, call them out briefly? Please?
Many thanks for your time and your (obviously many) contributions to wikipedia!
Ian Darwin
- For various reasons (like how it it's not always clear which articles have editorial oversight or not), we generally don't really consider the Huffington Post to be a reliable source. Unless there are no other available sources that can be used to cite the statements that use HuffPo as a citation, I would recommend that use a different source. Good Morning,
I am writing in regards to your decision decline my submission on Joshua Sullivan for lack of notoriety. The subject whom I am writing about, Joshua Sullivan, is one of the leading data scientists in the world. He is co-founder of an annual competition that just awarded a $1 million purse prize for helping the National Cancer Institute to improve lunger cancer detection rates. (Here is the mention on cancer.gov's own website: https://prevention.cancer.gov/news-and-events/news/data-science-bowl-launched)
I have included 27 independent sources, including the Wall St. Journal, Harvard Business Review, Information Week and Federal Computer Week. Additionally, Sullivan is prominently featured in some of the articles, not merely mentioned, and his book on big data was just featured on this scientific website: https://insidebigdata.com/2017/06/23/book-review-mathematical-corporation-josh-sullivan-angela-zutavern/
At any rate, I would appreciate some more specific feedback as to why this subject lacks notoriety. He may not be a popular mainstream figure, but he is notable, and that notability is clearly cited in my draft and above.
Thank you kindly.

AfC submission
[edit]Dear Narutolovehinata5,
I have made the necessary modifications for my AfC submission that you have reviewed. The story plot was made more succinct and shorter. Also, I have included the reception for the item's draft, but unfortunately, I was not able to find that much reviews about The Twisted Ones, because there were so far no critic reviews for it. Instead, I decided to add in relevant reviews from audiences thought they were not critics. Is it okay if you could review it again, and if the draft is still found feasible, is it suitable to be accepted as a Wikipedia article? If not, I will make the necessary improvements for its reliability.

Narutolovehinata5, sorry for the interruption. I have a question regarding the creating of articles. For the draft I was working on, Five Nights at Freddy's: The Twisted Ones, there were not any publications or critical responses about the novel's reception. So, is it okay to mention on the draft's "Reception" section that there have not been any reviews or published articles regarding the novel's sales numbers or critic reviews?
- @Cosecant57: If no significant reviews in reliable sources appear to exist: I hate to say this, but it would pretty much mean that the book is not notable enough to have its own article on Wikipedia. I understand it might hurt to read this, especially after the work you've done on the draft, but our notability guidelines are clear. At best, you could try working on the main Five Nights at Freddy's article instead. I know this may sound disappointing, but this shouldn't discourage you from editing. Perhaps instead, you could try working on articles on other topics that interest you. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 15:16, 11 September 2017 (UTC)

Notability
[edit]Hello Narutolovehinata,
you recently rejected a redirect i tried to make about "Massivan", redirecting it to "Buddha Bar compilation albums". I did that because somehow there was no way to prove the notability of this musician, and I finally found in the Notability guidelines, under point 10: Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, e.g., a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film, inclusion on a notable compilation album, etc. (But if this is the only claim, it is probably more appropriate to have a mention in the main article and redirect to that article. Read WP:BLP1E and WP:BIO1E for further clarifications). There is already the mention of Massivan in the main article so it only needs the redirect. I really would appreciate if you could take time for an explanation so I can learn how to do it right next time. Thanks, ivanpe Ivanpe (talk) 07:43, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- Simple: you could have instead created a page titled "Massivan" (without "Draft:") and redirected it to the Buddha Bar article. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:41, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
Steward Levenson AfC decline
[edit]Hi, I noticed you recently declined my AfC proposed article for Stewart Levenson citing that he was only notable for a single event. First, thank you for reviewing this so quickly— I was very surprised to get a review so soon, considering that another article I submitted there two weeks ago has still not been looked at by anyone yet. Second, I wanted to discuss your decision on this article about someone who has been the subject of non-trivial discussion in multiple reliable secondary independent sources. WP:BLP1E was something I was concerned about as well, but the policy page on that states that if the event in question is notable (and I think it is, and I don't think that anyone doubts this), and if the subject's role in relation to that event is significant (like John Hinckley Jr. and the Reagan assassination attempt) and appears to be ongoing or of lasting significance (the event continues to unfold no way to know just how long it will go on but probably for a year or two, maybe more), then such a person may warrant an independent article— provided that there is significant coverage in the right kinds of sources. Given that, I am not sure how the article I submitted doesn't meet this requirement, esp. considering that some of the sources mentioned are places like the Boston Globe and New Hampshire Public Radio et al. He seems to have coverage, and while this is only in relation to one event, the event is (I think) notable and he was/ is one of the co-leaders of the group involved (i.e., he had/ has a major role in the event). Please share your thoughts with me on that, okay? Thanks! KDS4444 (talk) 13:58, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- @KDS4444: Considering WP:BLP1E, he probably can't have an article; however, maybe a brief mention at a section on the incident at VA Hospital may suffice. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:24, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- I guess I'm still not sure I understand-- you state he can't have an article because of BLP1E, but I thought I had shown that his role in the event was significant (yes?) and that the event itself was notable (also yes?), therefore BLP1E was no longer grounds for exclusion. KDS4444 (talk) 03:31, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- For news events to be considered notable, you may wish to take a look at WP:109PAPERS, but suffice to say, it's more about long-term coverage and long-term impact than simply the amount of coverage. If say, an event gets a ton of coverage in one day but coverage dies out the next day, it may still not considered notable. Even if the event itself was notable, it would make more sense to mention Levenson in such an article rather give him his own article, considering it's not clear that he's notable outside of that one specific event. That's what WP:BLP1E is about. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 06:17, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, here I am summarizing BLP1E: "We should generally avoid having an article on a person when each of three conditions is met: 1.) if reliable sources cover the person only in the context of a single event, 2.) if that person otherwise remains, and is likely to remain, a low-profile individual, and 3.) if the event is not significant or the individual's role was either not substantial or not well, documented." I don't debate points 1 or 2 (though 2 requires us to assess the subject's potential long-term notability, which it seems hard to do at this point), but 3 is my sticking point: BLP1E is about not having articles about people who have low profiles in unremarkable events, but if the event is notable and the person has a large role within it, then that suggests BLP1E no longer applies. The event, to me, looks likely to go on for at least a few years (complete shakeups of VA hospital top staff are not done quickly), and the subject certainly has a large role in making this happen (as shown by the coverage he personally has received). Also, my sources here were newspapers with completely different text and radio broadcasts separate from the newspapers— they were not multiple copies of the exact same word-for-word story covered in multiple places, they were stories published by different authors in different papers, often several days apart on separate parts of the story. Thoughts on this? KDS4444 (talk) 10:53, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
- @KDS4444: Notability is not temporary, but it also needs to be proven that it will have a major long-lasting effect. While it may still have coverage now, it remains to be seen if it will have coverage in the future. At the very least, perhaps Levenson should not have an article himself, the event itself is still of questionable notability, and perhaps the best option that could be done is instead to write a section on the incident on the hospital's article. You may instead wish to include the information at the article on Veterans Health Hospital. In addition, it appears that a previous article version of the draft had been deleted in an AfD discussion, and said deletion was endorsed at deletion review. If you haven't already talked to either Jo-Jo Eumurus or RoySmith about this matter, I suggest you do so now. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:09, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
- If you are aware of the previous deletion discussion and its review then you probably also know that I have discussed this matter with both Roy and Jo Jo, though without a conclusive explanation that aligns well with what I have understood to be Wikipedia policies regarding BLPs. I have a subject who has been discussed non-trivially multiple times in major national newspapers and other verifiable independent reliable news sources but who is being prevented from having an article about him on Wikipedia because one version of that article wasn't considered acceptable. That shouldn't mean that no version is acceptable... But once a decision "against" a particular individual's article forms, it seems that no one is willing to look at any version of an article on that individual and judge it on its merits, without reference to past versions in the same namespace. If I were a new page patroller and I had read the version of the article that you did, I don't think I would have hesitated to mark it patrolled and move on. And I understand that if you yourself approved the article in any form, you would be opening yourself up to ridicule by your peers who already decided the namespace is tainted. It was a lot for me to ask of you, and I am sorry to have placed you on the spot in that respect. Thank you for reviewing it in any case. KDS4444 (talk) 03:22, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

- The new page backlog is currently at 14304 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a day.
- Currently there are 532 pages in the backlog that were created by non-autoconfirmed users before WP:ACTRIAL. The NPP project is undertaking a drive to clear these pages from the backlog before they hit the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing a few today!
Technology update:
- The Wikimedia Foundation is currently working on creating a new filter for page curation that will allow new page patrollers to filter by extended confirmed status. For more information see: T175225
General project update:
- On 14 September 2017 the English Wikipedia began the autoconfirmed article creation trial. For a six month period, creation of articles in the mainspace of the English Wikipedia will be restricted to users with autoconfirmed status. New users who attempt article creation will now be redirected to a newly designed landing page.

Hi
Thank you for reverting back to my draft - JammuStartups. I understand, am not able to make through the guidelines that's why being declined. But also a bit confused regarding - I mean almost everything being rejected. To understand the definition of Notable - I mean if its the first community in some region - does that not matter at all or not notable for a community of people. However, references from the local news paper does not work here at all too - please guide me on this. If this is something not workable please let me know because a small community like us can't easily make through Telegraph or NewYork times as living in Jammu, India. If any suggestions please feel free to share.
Thank you for reading this long message, I understand on daily basis you may have go through 1000's of pages. I really appreciate that hopefully am not creating troubles here.

Thank you for taking the time to review Draft:Randy Clark (minister). I appreciate your feedback. Can you expound a bit on your thoughts? There are 14 citations used and 9 of those are from indepentdent secondary sources. One source is cited multiple times because I wanted to include all the appropriae page numbers. Is your concern that this one book is used too much? The content from this book is biographical in nature and is the best source for his early life. After that, other secondary sources are used for the more notable events. DoctorG (talk) 02:57, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
- Some of the other sources look promising, but as they're offline I don't have access to them. Perhaps another reviewer could take a look at the draft? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 04:20, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Hello. I've been modeling this page to have as many or more independent sources as the Vlasic Pickles page because it is difficult to fine full page news articles talking about a particular product. The Vlasic page only has 3 news articles that reference it directly, two of which are dead links. I have a wide variety of news sources already listed as sources, some of which are full articles about the company. I am have read the guidelines and feel that this article has met them, and am having difficulty thinking of what sort of additional news coverage would make a difference. As a Wikipedia user it's reasonable that I'd want to know more details about a company, but midsize brands like Bubbies or Vlasic don't have many New York Times articles that focus solely on the brand. What is this page lacking in terms of sources that the page for Vlasic has, so that I can seek out sources of that type.f
Thank you very much for taking your time to make Wikipedia a useful source and I appreciate your consideration of my request.

TERRELL JAMES resubmit
[edit]Hello Narutolovehinata5, I am back with a revision to the proposed Terrell James article, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Terrell_James. Previously, it was rejected for,
1. Notability. I believe notability has been established, based on: a. the number of public art institutions that collect the subject's work; b. the number of prominent art critics and art world figures drawn to write about the subject (they are listed near the end of the article, with their publication pedigrees footnoted); and c. the number and type of honors conferred on the subject by various organizations, ranging from the Texan French Alliance for the Arts, to the Art League Houston ("Texas Artist of the Year, 2016" award).
2. Promotional tone. I did my best to eliminate Peacock Terms, I hope you agree they are gone. [or tell me where the remainder are, I'm perfectly happy to cull them]
3. Sectioning. I followed the Wikipedia outline suggestions as directly as I could.
4. In-line citations. I believe the article is thoroughly footnoted to verifiable sources.
5. Not showing significant coverage about the subject. This has been fixed via citations to books, magazines and high quality on-line publications (notably, www.Glasstire.com).
Thanks and I look forward to any additional questions, Camo1955

Thank you for reviewing my article. May I have some additional guidance as to why the 'Welcome to Rockville' article reads like an advertisement? Is there a place where I can learn about what the criteria are for adjusting the language of an article?
I based my entry on an article about a festival that is part of a larger music tour called "World's loudest month" where each tour stop is given a unique name e.g. Welcome to Rockville, Rock on the Range, Carolina Rebellion, etc. In the "Rock on the Range" article the estimated attendance numbers point back to press releases. Should I just remove that section from the Welcome to Rockville article? I don't really see any way to get a third-party verification for ticket sales other than from the event organizer via a press release, and news article that reference the numbers probably also cite the press release.
Article template: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_on_the_Range
I'm really confused by the general flow of contacting people in Wikipedia, so I apologize if this ends up somewhere it's wasn't supposed to be.
-Chris @Wandadars: As of the moment, the article reads less like what you would expect for an encyclopedia article, and more like what you would read in a press release or a blog. Thank you for the quick reply! Your time is much appreciated.
Two of the newly referenced articles do exactly what you requested for: they are both based on interviews of the subject, and they both provide more extensive coverage of him as an individual (early life, career, motivation for business) and then his achievements as the owner of those companies. This is evident even from the titles: "I dream to change the world from home — ERUANI" and "How I became a billionaire from selling sand — President, Azikel Group". They are published by two of the best known Nigerian media- Vanguard News and Tribune.

Hope you are well today. I read your comments on the article I recently submitted and would like to know any suggestions that you may have to resolve them. Is there anything I can do to the article to add to the notability of the subject (currently, there are already 10 sources and I have neutralised the language)? Kindly let me know and thanks again for the feedback.
Best,
-H.N.-

Decline
[edit]Hello, I am trying to understand why a page on Abishur Prakash was declined.
Wikipedia's standards must remain consistent across pages. This page was approved with no citations: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bertalan_Mesk%C3%B3
I am basing Abishur's page on that and other pages. Once again, Wikipedia policies need to remain consistent.
Abishur has a lot of work in the public domain.
Please get back to me as soon as possible.
DYK for Konomi Suzuki
[edit]On 5 November 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Konomi Suzuki, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Konomi Suzuki was inspired by the character Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier to become a singer for anime? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Konomi Suzuki), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Prep 1
[edit]Hi, I see you added the lead image hook to Prep 1. In future, please remember to also add the DYK credit lines to the prep template (I added them for you). Best, Yoninah (talk) 11:21, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, you just promoted a hook to Prep 2 and didn't add the credit template. Please do so now. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 12:58, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Yeah sorry about that; I had been looking for the templates when editing the page but for whatever reason I couldn't find them. I'll be sure to give credits next time. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 13:06, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- Narutolovehinata5, when you promoted that lead hook to Prep 1, you used the original hook, which had not been approved by a reviewer (in fact, it had been objected to), rather than the ALT1 hook, which had been approved. I have just corrected the matter. When you promote a nomination, you should only choose from those hooks that have been specifically approved. You are welcome to review another hook if you wish, though you can't then promote it, or point out errors in an approved hook rather than promoting it. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:11, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, sorry for the mistake, didn't notice the objection in the nomination; probably had been excited by how "hooky" the hook was in the first place. I'll be more careful next time. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:20, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

Update
[edit]Thanks for commenting on the page. I appreciate you taking the time.
You said that there needs to be independent coverage of Abishur Prakash, such as interviews or reports on his activities.
I've created a section at the bottom called Media Coverage, and every single article there is an interview with him, or a report on something he has done.
Would this be acceptable to resubmit? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jameshealey48 (talk • contribs) 03:05, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Jameshealey48: Unfortunately this is not the case, as said source still have the same problems that I raised before: all affiliated with subject, all promotional in tone, and most being more about robotics in general rather than Prakash himself. Question about decline of Zumbyes article
[edit]Hi there! I noticed you declined the submission of the Zumbyes article. Regarding the sources, we'll work on finding something more legitimate. Most of the mentions of the group are on the Amherst webpage and related Amherst newspapers, which are certainly reputable sources given the esteem of the institution. Regarding the significance of the group, it is a collegiate a cappella group that is home to hundreds of members and a significant local following. The several significant alumni mentioned in the article each have wikipedia pages that mention the Zumbyes in them, so it only seems fitting that we have our own page. In addition to this, another a cappella group from Amherst College, has a wikipedia article about them so we only see it a natural fit that we should have our own as well. Please let us know your thoughts on the matter, as we would greatly appreciate having a wikipedia page to direct any fans, alumni, or other musicians to. Best, The Zumbyes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jrubenstein (talk • contribs) 04:35, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Jrubenstein: Right now most of the references in the article are to the Amhearst College's newspaper; considering the group is based at that college, that's not considered an independent source, and independent sources are required to establish notability. What you would need are sources that have no links to the college but discuss group; it appears that the group performed at a local station, so if you can find non-Amhearst sources about that, that would be a good start. Boruto: Naruto the Movie Japanese review
[edit]I only added the Yahoo Japan site to the article. Do you of other Japanese review sites that might be considered reliable? Due to my lack of knowledge with Japanese I don't understand when they are reviews. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 18:33, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Tintor2: Try sites like Comic Natalie, or more rarely Oricon. Though as far as I know users like Juhachi, Michitaro and Nihonjoe are the ones who tend to be more familiar with Japanese sources. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:54, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

- @Nihonjoe: Thanks. But the problem is that Natalie is full of so many articles about the movie that I can't tell what's a movie review. I would have to bother Tranquilhope like there's no tomorrow in order to know if it's a review.Tintor2 (talk) 18:06, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

- Tried that but most of the sites I find are bloggers commenting on that. On the other hand, I found this.Tintor2 (talk) 23:34, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry for not chiming in sooner. Unfortunately, the state of film criticism in Japan is rather sad, and there are very few established online sources for film reviews (especially if you are trying to establish notability per criterion 1 of WP:NFO). Most of what exists on the net, like the Anzines article you found, are just fan impressions (感想 in Japanese) on fan sites. There are still reviews being printed by professional critics, but they are mostly in print sources, not online, or if they are online (such as in a newspaper), they quickly go behind a paywall. Another problem is that a popular anime like this is not likely to get a review in a major newspaper or magazine. For instance, Kinema Junpo, the main film magazine in Japan for nearly a century, tries to review most Japanese films, but there are a lot they miss. If you check out their online database, you can see whether they printed a review or not (this shows they only printed an introduction to the film in their 8.15.2015 issue, but not a review. That can help for WP:GNG, though). Sorry if this doesn't help much. Michitaro (talk) 07:33, 11 November 2017 (UTC)

Declined A Million Happy Nows
[edit]Hi there,
You have just recently declined my article on the assumption that I have a conflict of interest with it. I, in fact, have not written this article. While I am affiliated with the film A Million Happy Nows, I was actually approached by a fan of the film who offered/wanted to create a wikipedia page for it. The avid fan, who is not affiliated with the film in any way, wrote/coded the article and sent it along to me for use and I created the user AMHNfilm because I was under the impression that is what would be best to get the material approved. She wanted to use a picture of the film's poster as well, and it was extremely difficult to get that approved for copyright use even with me being the owner. If I need to tell the fan to take her article and create her own user and upload, I will do so. Please advise as I am at a loss as to why this article cannot simply be approved.
Thanks,
Marisa AMHNFilm — Preceding unsigned comment added by AMHNfilm (talk • contribs) 17:04, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
- @AMHNfilm: 1. The draft had nothing to do with your username; in fact, I did not even decline the draft, Drewmutt did. As they explained, "Although there are reliable references mentioning the subject, the depth of coverage needs to be considered as well." In fact, I actually disagree with the decline as it appears that the film has received some awards at its film festivals.
- As you appear to be affiliated with the film in some manner, as per Wikipedia guidelines, it is suggested that, as much as possible, that you refrain from making any edits to subjects which you are connected to; instead, feel free to suggest edits (but not necessarily make them) at talk pages instead. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 22:12, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
- Your username is also against Wikipedia policies; I will leave on your talkpage a more detailed explanation.
Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 22:12, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
Hi Naruto,
I really appreciate your input. I have taken over this user account for Marisa as I am the one who has written the actual article and I am not affiliated with the film in anyway, just a devoted fan. I am certain this article has met wikipedia requirements and has won major awards of excellence in film. I do however have two different accounts declining to approve it and I am at a loss as to how I can go about getting it approved. I have added even more resources after Drewmutt declined it to no different outcome. Can you possibly lend some advice as I am not entirely well versed on how to proceed as I was not expecting to have any issues getting the film article approved.
Thanks, Filmfan67
- @Filmfan67: It appears that Drewmutt and Nihlus were the ones who reviewed the draft; it might be better for you to seek advice from them. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 09:09, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. I just came across the Altan Xire article, which you reviewed for DYK last month. New Page Reviewer Newsletter
[edit]Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 12713 pages. Please consider reviewing even just a few pages each day! If everyone helps out, it will really put a dent in the backlog.
- Currently the backlog stretches back to March and some pages in the backlog have passed the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing some of them!
Outreach and Invitations:
- If you know other editors with a good understanding of Wikipedia policy, invite them to join NPP by dropping the invitation template on their talk page with:
{{subst:NPR invite}}
. Adding more qualified reviewers will help with keeping the backlog manageable.
New Year New Page Review Drive
- A backlog drive is planned for the start of the year, beginning on January 1st and running until the end of the month. Unique prizes will be given in tiers for both the total number of reviews made, as well as the longest 'streak' maintained.
- Note: quality reviewing is extremely important, please do not sacrifice quality for quantity.
General project update:
- ACTRIAL has resulted in a significant increase in the quality of new submissions, with noticeably fewer CSD, PROD, and BLPPROD candidates in the new page feed. However, the majority of the backlog still dates back to before ACTRIAL started, so consider reviewing articles from the middle or back of the backlog.
- The NPP Browser can help you quickly find articles with topics that you prefer to review from within the backlog.
- To keep up with the latest conversation on New Pages Patrol or to ask questions, you can go to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and add it to your watchlist.
If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, go here. — TonyBallioni (talk) 20:27, 12 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, you previously edited a page I created for Dancewave. I just re-submitted the entry and am hoping to find out if I made the re-submission correctly. Are you able to look and see if there is a revised submission dated 12/16/17? Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by ITLRosanna (talk • contribs) 19:49, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
Hey there User:Narutolovehinata5, I'd like to ask a few things about my Draft:Mystix..
Regarding your reply, you stated that my references are not reliable. Indeed soundcloud could be quite unreliable as anyone can create an account and do what they want. However, I feel like spotify, being a digital music store is exactly what one could describe as reliable and notable when referring to a record label; if someone would tell me to try and give "proof" that a record label exists and is notable I would immediately go to the stores they distribute to, either it's digital or actual records. Of course, if you feel like Spotify is just not the correct store to do it, feel free to let me know - I could enter the rest of the stores.
Moreover, I'd just want to ask what you could describe as reliable reference for a record label. Apart from the stores themselves, I can only think of blog posts from relatively big sources.
Thank you so much in advance, please excuse my rookie mistakes.
@Messinismarios: First of all, please read WP:RS to know what is a reliable source and what is not. An example of a reliable source would be something like Billboard, although essentially any independent news article specifically about the subject, that's from a source that more-or-less has some kind of internal fact-checking, can be considered a reliable source. Secondly, Wikipedia is not a place to advertise companies. There are several alternative outlets for this purpose. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:53, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
@Narutolovehinata5: Great, so websites like Billboard and other news articles would do that, thank you. You stated that WP is not a place to advertise companies. I fully understood that the moment I started writing the draft and I believe I did stay pretty neutral and non-biased throughout the whole article. I did not give any personal opinions on the matter and I just gave some general information about the record label. Moreover, I have found many similar articles about record labels and especially independent ones so I do not think I am doing something that is against the WP rules.
Happy holidays!
[edit]Hello Narutolovehinata5: Enjoy the holiday season, and thanks for your work to maintain, improve and expand Wikipedia. Cheers, Happy holidays! Babymissfortune 11:29, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

Merry Christmas!
[edit]Merry Christmas! | |
Although it is 9:01, Christmas is not yet done.
So I wish to give to thee, a wish for a merry Christmas and a happy holid(ees?). I know my poetry is quite obscene, but I hope you have a wonderful 2018! Toreightyone (talk) 13:01, 25 December 2017 (UTC) |
- Hi, While declining the submission, you have mentioned, At least some sources specifically about Kalia rather than his films are required before this is accepted. Please see this reference<ref>http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-features/tp-cinemaplus/long-journey/article3849214.ece<ref> and I believe this link will be adequate to accept the submission of the page. Please do the needful to clear the page. Tarun Sehra (talk) 15:16, 25 December 2017 (UTC)

New Years new page backlog drive
[edit]Announcing the NPP New Year Backlog Drive!
We have done amazing work so far in December to reduce the New Pages Feed backlog by over 3000 articles! Now is the time to capitalise on our momentum and help eliminate the backlog!
The backlog drive will begin on January 1st and run until January 29th. Prize tiers and other info can be found HERE.
Awards will be given in tiers in two categories:
- The total number of reviews completed for the month.
- The minimum weekly total maintained for all four weeks of the backlog drive.
NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.
If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, go here. — TonyBallioni (talk) 20:24, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for the suggestions and encouragement! I understand the issue of notability will always be a problem with actors that typically fill support roles. Farrell, though, has played major roles in touring and off-Broadway musicals, including winning a major theater award (Helen Hays). With what is in the article now, is there a case for notability if presented better, or would it still be lacking regardless of additional sources found? Also, how long can this stay in Draft? Farrell will be appearing as regular on an upcoming television series and that might strengthen notability. Appreciate your time!

- @Techfall: Actually, the article could be accepted as soon as possible, all that's needed is for you or another user to provide references that specifically discuss Farrell. For example, interviews, news reports about him, discussions about his films that also discuss his roles in detail, etc. As for the upcoming role, if you can find a source that confirms and discusses that, that would be a good idea and will likely mean that the draft could be accepted the next time around.
