Copyright concerns; tagging
Hello, Musamies. Thank you for pointing out your copyright concerns with File:Alexcropped.jpg and File:137885059 84936b4b07 o.jpg. I'm dropping you a line just to let you know that the tag that you placed on these images, {{copyvio}}, is specifically used for text that violates copyright. For images that are clear copyright violations, you can follow the procedure for speedy deletion. For images that are suspected to be copyright violations, we have a review board for possibly unfree images. For images used under suspect non-free content criteria, we have non-free content review. Other image copyright concerns are handled in various ways (see Wikipedia:Guide to image deletion for specifics.) I have corrected the tag on these images so that they can be handled in the proper venue (Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images/2008 December 30), but I wanted to let you know for future use in case you should encounter another image that raises concerns. Thanks again for pointing out the potential problem. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:42, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

chronometer messages
Hello, I'm a scholar and although I have no trouble publishing photos on my own scholarly webset, I can't seem to satisfy Wikipedia's rules. (I have printed a huge number of pages and together then don't seem to provide the clue I am missing). There currently are TWO versions of Chronometer (for the page I created entitled "Chronomètre of Loulié")..... TWO versions because I couldn't figure how to insert the picture in the page and did it twice. One of them obviously got into Wiki Commons, which is fine. And I'm perfectly happy to delete (or have someone delete) the duplicate photo. The other problem is the "copyright" issue for an engraving publishec back in 1696 and generally available. I took a picture of it in a library long ago. So what do I do to satisfy the demands of Wiki ... or is having it in the Commons sufficient? Sorry to be so dense. Patricia M. Orphaned non-free image (File:Take Good Care of My Baby.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Take Good Care of My Baby.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 23:15, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

YOU KEEP ERASING MY WORK
Musamies, you keep erasing my links in what is clearly not a part of the text and which I have entitled EXTERNAL LINKS.
I have view 25 other webpages and the links remain intact for their external links.
While I appreciate your guidance and the good work you do for Wikipedia why do you keep doing the same thing when a series of external links is not a part of the body of text?
I have it clearly designated as external links to related subject matter. I have done it same way as 25 different other wiki entries. You have erased this work three times now. I am happy to do it in whatever way is required.
Please advise.

Hello, I work for Autolux. Carla Azar asked me to put up the photo of her on her Wikipedia Page that someone had created. I see that you took it down and changed it back. I appreciate you adding a photo and we are going to add some better photos of Carla playing drums within the page, but she wanted this photo in particular as the main photo. There are many other things, including art that Carla does that I'm going to be adding to that page as well. If you want to contact me through the band's email, feel free and maybe you can help out too.

If you find a "bad" userpage...
Instead of reporting promotional userpages at WP:AN, try to tag them with a speedy deletion template so it will appear in CAT:SD. Cheers, —GƒoleyFour— 19:14, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Regarding tagging as {{db-u1}}
Just to remind you that {{db-u1}} is for authors of pages who, in good faith, request deletion. Basically, you need to be using different reasons for speedy deletion some of the userpages, which normally fall under Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#General or Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#User pages. Hope that helps, –MuZemike 20:24, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi. I've declined your speedy request because you used U1 and it wasn't your page. That's for the owner of the page to use. I'd let it get a bit more promotional than it is before tagging it for spam. As it stands, it's not much of anything.... Peridon (talk) 18:00, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Images for Punk Article
Hi Musamies, Thanks for notifying me about the copyright issues which I have not yet fully grasped for the Survivors and Vampire Lovers record cover images. I believed that if the images were reduced to a rather small thumbnail and have been reproduced in many media, including the internet, that they may be reproduced under the "fair use rationale" with verification from the original source. What must I do in order to address these copyright faults? Dr.warhol (talk) 08:17, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

User:Thincats speedy deletion tag
I notice that you tagged the page User:Thincats with {{db-u1}}. That tag is for users requesting deletion of their own userpages. You should not apply it to the pages of other users. However, the page was an obvious candidate for deletion under WP:CSD#G11, so I deleted the page for that reason. Just letting you know so you can apply a more appropriate tag in the future. --RL0919 (talk) 16:27, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Livingbot question
Hi Musamies, a bot that says it's related to you left a message for me about an image (File:Water_pump_pliers.jpg and User talk:Tenbergen. I am not sure how I should declare that image. It came from the German wikipedia, so the rights from there likely should allow me to put it on the English wikipedia, but I am at a loss as to how to declare it. The DE version suggests that the file should maybe go to the commons, but the licensing info on the DE version is also sort of incomplete. I am not sure what to do. Please, instead of posting at WP:AN every time you see a problematic user page, familiarize yourself with the speedy deletion policy. Coming on that article here, I see a pciture of a sleeve that is not the right one. The sleeve that's framed is of a compilation-cd (78 minutes) from 2002, not the 1964-album. It becomes clear out of the article which mentions some 12 titles, but the sleeve pictured mentions 31!. Can you put the right sleeve in the article, or mention somewhere the difference? Three Revert Rule WP:3RR
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Nbcwd (talk) 19:06, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

The images are in free circulation on the internet. Why were they deleted? Explain yourself on my talk page--Frank Rocker (talk) 01:28, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- Fair use pictures are not allowed in Commons, please upload it here.--Musamies (talk) 03:42, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
His arguments are insufficient.
His arguments are insufficient and potentially contestable, to consider the factors:
1 - These images are used in articles themselves, and were not eliminated: File:Nickelback_Here_and_Now_170x170-75.jpg, File:Dark_Horse_(Nickelback_album_cover).jpg (they are on Commons).
2 - Treated up of album covers and were in free circulation by the Web. So it would be impossible if the authors came to claim rights as healthful public images.
3 - All of them had had seals free license and you simply marked as copyright infringement, but when questioned gave weak argument as: "Fair use pictures are not allowed in Commons"
I'm still giving you a chance to explain yourself better, otherwise I will have to report abuse against you. I can not spend time optimizing articles for someone to come and vandalize them. I'm not nervous, but I need good reasons for this occurring.
Thank you--Frank Rocker (talk) 21:39, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

I am just here to learn to edit existing health information pages and add current references etc as they are accessed by so many from developing nations that don't have the same info to health information as those that are in universities etc here.
