Hi Double Grazing. Thanks for teaching me the ropes here. In Argentina this movie has three of the country's biggest stars and is now in theaters around the country. So maybe the problems is that I should make the article in Spanish first? There are tons of sources if you google the Spanish title for the film: "Bajo Naranja" Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 15:49, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi DoubleGrazing. I've just finished another English language draft for an important Argentine film. Once I publish it in drafts, does it automatically get sent to you all for review? Or what else should I do to notify you that it's been created? I should note that the Spanish language Wikipedia already has the entry under "Las hijas del fuego" so would have to link it as well. Thanks so much and here is the draft: Draft:The Daughters of Fire Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 20:24, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Underground Orange, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

I'm not the creator of this film but I do work in the film industry in Argentina so I'm not sure if that counts as a COI. Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 15:19, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here freelance jobs are quite common tho, people work in many fields at once. Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 15:21, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. I thought your user name had a connection with the IRL name of this film's creator.
I can't really say based on that whether you have a COI or not. In general terms, just working in the same industry wouldn't give rise to a COI, although working in the same industry may mean that you have a relationship with this subject, either a 'positive' one (eg. it's a client of yours, and you have an interest in making them look good) or 'negative' (eg. the film maker is a rival of yours, and you want to torpedo their career!). I'll leave it for you to consider the matter and decide whether you ought to disclose or not.
Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:42, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Mitaja is the name of an Indian band I like. This is my first time writing a Wikipedia article but I've been editing entries for many years without creating an account. Overall I'd like to edit/add film industry related entries from Argentina but it's hard to know what is reliable or if I should submit the entries and or edit only in Spanish Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 15:50, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Clearly there is an anglo-centric judgement that occurs when someone in the USA determines what is reliable or noteworthy for a Wikipedia entry on Argentine society. Trying to understand the issue of transcultural entitlement to notability and relevance verification. Thanks for your guidance. Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 16:00, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Okay thanks for the note. The nomenclature for example "1 April 2006" is not standard or grammatically correct in the English that I learned. Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 18:36, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I'd like to add winning films to this page since it is not up to date but I don't know how to add subsequent sections to the Complete List of Winners table. Could you please let me know? Hi there. I live in Argentina and last night on Libera I received the help from a bunch of folks as we tried to determine what are reliable sources for this article on the movie Underground Orange. jmcgnh thought that the reviews I submitted would help to determine its reliability. Here in Argentina La Nacion and InfoBae are the biggest most mainstream newspapers and Indie Hoy is the most reliable source of reviews. Am trying to determine if should continue working on this article, if I should submit it in Spanish or discard it all together. Thanks for your assistance. Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 16:33, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi and welcome. The problem is that you keep ignoring the reviewers comment, and goin ahead to resubmit. Your draft may be notable, however we need sources that would meet WP:RS ( WP:42.). Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 03:56, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey SafariScribe. Thanks for the good vibes as I learn the ropes here. I just created another film entry for the movie "Mamá, Mamá, Mamá" which is now in my sandbox. I'd like to move it to draft so you can review. Today I spend a few hours mostly copy-editing Argentine film entries in Spanish. The entries are often equally or less reliable than my Underground Orange entry in English. If you compare the draft to a Wikipedia entry like "Fantasy A Gets a Mattress" I just don't see how it's less reliable or notable. Thanks for the guidance. @Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja, take it easy ok? Always remember that there is no deadline. Make sure to check everything correctly. Aren't you happy to see "Mama mama mama" on the articlespace? Maybe you should invite me (for atleast a week or three days) to Argentina, haha! Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 05:46, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Come to Argentina SafariScribe! Summer always a great time here. Thanks again for the tips! I see you get a lot of stress from new editors but you have my support. 🫀 Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 14:33, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia. I can't find mainstream English speaking in-depth articles of this title, but there are tons of them in Spanish. I did find mainstream English smaller articles which I added as references just now, and also a section of the film's awards. This title has a Wikipedia Spanish entry under "Las hijas del fuego". Let me know what you think, or if I should abandon this draft and work on something else. Thanks Mitaja Mitaja Mitaja (talk) 15:26, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
