For 32nd and 33rd Post Headquarters Companies (WAC) - great work!! Buckshot06 (talk) 07:19, 8 February 2016 (UTC) |
I mostly do a wide range of military articles, especially Africa, but anytime you wish to get started with the heavy lifting involved in fixing Women in combat and Women in the military, please give me a shout!! I'm sure if Lori Robinson knew what you were up to, she'd be thanking you... Buckshot06 (talk) 07:23, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, Buckshot06! I might be doing more work on the WACS in the future. I found out there was an all-Puerto Rican unit, for example. Some of the info about WACS online is thin, though. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 13:16, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
- The thin nature of information online on a bunch of subjects is why we appreciate our librarians so much :) I've spent literally years sourcing data for FARDC and Armed Forces of Liberia :( Buckshot06 (talk) 20:27, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

QPQ
Hi, a QPQ means a review of someone else's hook, just like I reviewed your hook. You just pick a nomination from the T:TDYK page and check it against the WP:DYK#Eligibility criteria. Perhaps you'd like to review one of my nominations (which is usually pretty clean)? Look at Template:Did you know nominations/Romona Robinson, Template:Did you know nominations/Ella Orr Campbell, Template:Did you know nominations/Reynelda Muse, or Template:Did you know nominations/Mildred Brown Schrumpf. Yoninah (talk) 21:21, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

Lali Kandelaki
I was just looking at your contributions. :) and I saw that you stated in a current AFD that Lali Kandelaki has coverage in non English sources. Can you link me some of those sources, I am a polyglot and will be able to help.(and maybe get an DYK out of it lol :P) FreeatlastChitchat (talk) 06:28, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
- @FreeatlastChitchat: I found some Russian sources on Google, and I suspect that if you Google her name with her Georgian language characters, more will pop up. She looks notable, but I'm working off my smart phone right now. Mostly I was worried the,AfD would close before I had a chance to do some digging so I commented there jus to be safe. I'd appreciate the help. When I have links, I'll send them your way if you'd like. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 06:36, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
Please see note on your DYK review. Yoninah (talk) 10:02, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

- No problem, HappyValleyEditor. I use the visual editor on Wikipedia and it helps me generate references pretty quickly. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 21:19, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

Art+Feminism Question
Hello, I am organizing my first Art+Feminism editathon in Santa Fe, NM. At your El Paso node event are you offering childcare? If so, would you be willing to share how you are handling those arrangements? Our resources here are very limited, so I am trying to figure out the best way to pull this off. By the way, I am also a Librarian and my BA is from Case Western. Rpotance (talk) 18:16, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Rpotance! I used to work at the Kelvin Smith Library at Case! How cool! As for the editathon, we're not doing childcare, just feeding folks. You might want to contact the organizers to put you in touch with someone who's set up childcare at their events. I wish I could help more. :/ Megalibrarygirl (talk) 20:17, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

I appreciate your adding a reference but when I click on it, I don't find anything; plus I don't think that Torrey lives in central NY with her husband adds much to the article. I know you mean well, I'm just trying to keep it from being deleted.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 17:43, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Tomwsulcer. I added that from a database. If you don't have a subscription, you can't see it. I added that reference since DGG's problem is that there are no references that are "about her." That one is. It's not the most groundbreaking reference, but it's something. I think it adds to the article since there is currently very little about her personally, which is part of the reason it's being considered for deletion. To save the article, you'll need a lot more "biographical" information. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:54, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- I've rescued lots of articles. I think the references that I added are all good ones, and that references "about her" (ie birthplace, husband, previous career) are not as noteworthy as "what she does" -- that is, her patient advocacy. So I think that adding a line about where she lives, about her husband living with her, to an uncheckable reference, doesn't really help matters, but out of deference to you, an established contributor here, I won't revert it.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 19:10, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- I agree with you, Tomwsulcer, you added a lot of good sources. The reference I added is behind a subscription wall, but that's OK. Wiki allows that, which is why the reference is tagged with subscription needed. I like rescuing articles, too, but DGG is a tough critic, so I figured a little nudge wouldn't hurt. ;) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 20:20, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Political spouses (First Ladies and Gentlemen)
Megalibrary girl, I thought that you might have some thoughts about the notability of spouses of well-known politicians who have done nothing at all notable except to marry a well-known politician, And yet may be covered in depth in major media as "spouse of." We have a surprising number of articles that fit this description. If the question interests you at all, I have started a thread on the talk page of WP:INHERIT, prompted by an active AFD on Michael Haley (South Carolina).E.M.Gregory (talk) 15:40, 25 February 2016 (UTC)

Women's History Month
Interested in working on Doris Stevens? It's an old article, I have no idea who created it, but it's been flagged for sourcing for over a year. I think she'd be easy enough to find sources on and maybe promote to GA. I figure we can work on it slowly behind our other production, but should be able to get her done during March. If you are busy with other things, not a problem. ;) SusunW (talk) 15:55, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, SusunW! I'll take a look at her in the databases. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 18:48, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- I think I am done except for proofing and having other editing eyes on her, but I do not have access to the Trigg piece from EBSCO. Can you fix the page citations in the harv references? I have input the entire scope of pages, as I have no idea which page any of the info appeared on. Thanks! SusunW (talk) 19:32, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
- Hi SusunW! I'll fix up the reference. The info appeared on several different pages, so I'll have to comb through it. :P Megalibrarygirl (talk) 23:40, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
