Speedy deletion nomination of King Gug
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on King Gug requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Complex/Rational 02:31, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Talk:King Gug, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 05:37, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions are appreciated, but, in this edit to King Gug, you removed Articles for deletion notices from articles or removed other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. This makes it difficult to establish consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 22:19, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. An article you recently created, King Gug, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Liz Read! Talk! 06:37, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, you have chosen to submit it for review without heeding the advice I gave you on the talk page. Because you have only used Discogs as a source, which is considered unreliable, I can almost guarantee that your draft submission will be declined. We have no interest in what a person wishes to say about himself/herself; nor do we care about the promotional writings of their management. We care about what reliable and independent sources have chosen on their own to publish about this person.
- Please look at this page for a discussion of music-related sources and the Wikipedia community's evaluation of their reliability. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:38, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
- Another relevant essay you should review is Wikipedia:Up and coming next big thing. Wikipedia includes articles about topics after they have become notable, not before. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:46, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Conflict of interest editing
[edit]Hello, MaxAvery1999. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page King Gug, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:44, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hi MaxAvery1999. Pretty much all of your edits here on English Wikipedia and your file uploads to Wikimedia Commons seem to be related to King Gug. While there's nohhing wrong with this per se, new editors who spend all of their time focused on a single subject often are doing so because they have some kind of personal or professional connection to the subject they're trying to create content about. Are you connected personally or professionally to King Gug in any way? Have you been in contact with King Gug or someone representing him and asked (even perhaps contracted) to create content about him on Wikipedia. If you are or have been, then I strongly suggest that you take the time to carefully read through the pages referred to in the above notification (the words in blue) to familiarize yourself with relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines which may be applicable to your situation. If you do have some connection to King Gug, the more transparent you're about it, the easier it will be for others to help you and the less likely you're going to find yourself running into problems. Please understand that I'm not accussing you of doing anything wrong; I'm just trying to let you know some things about Wikipedia that you might not be aware of since your a new user. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:52, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/King Gug until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.
Theroadislong (talk) 08:38, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
Multiple accounts and suggestion
[edit]If by chance you created an alternate account because you somehow thought it might make editing the article King Gug, then you should carefully review and familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policy on the acceptable use of alternate accounts. In short, alternate accounts should not be used for the purposes of deceiving others into seeing more support for your position. It is not acceptable to use two accounts on the same article, or the same topic area, unless they are publicly and plainly disclosed on both your and the other account's userpage. If you didn't create another account to edit the article, then my apologies but please review the above information anyway because you might find it informative since it explains some things about Wikipedia that you might not know. If you did, however, create another account, please be advised that it's already been blocked by a Wikipedia administrator and thus can't be used to edit again. I strongly advise that you not try something like that again because sock puppetry and impersonating others aren't allowed on Wikipedia and the administrator response to users who do such things tends to be quite harsh. If, by chance, you somehow were in touch with King Gug and asked them for help, please be advised that the subjects of Wikipedia articles have no claim of ownership over said articles and are expected to comply the guidelines given in Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Dealing with articles about yourself, and seek assistance from others instead of trying to resolve things themselves. Trying to seek outside assistance to deal with Wikipedia matters can also be considered meat puppetry which is something that is also not allowed.
For reference, I'm not a Wikipedia administrator and am only posting this to try and help you avoid problems before it's too late to do so. My suggestion to you would be to request that the "King Gug" article be moved back to the draft namespace where you can continue to work on improving it. It seems way WP:TOOSOON for an article about King Gug to be added to Wikipedia at this time, but it's not too soon to work on a draft. Then, if King Gug starts to receive the kind of significant coverage in reliable sources that helps establish their Wikipedia notability, you can always re-submit the draft to WP:AFC for another review. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:38, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
Blocked for sockpuppetry
[edit]Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
- But I only have one account. MaxAvery1999 (talk) 16:36, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- That is exceedingly unlikely given the other account was also editing about Gug about whom you're editing almost exclusively. You can file an unblock request but given that you have heeded none of the warnings about your promotional editing, there are two significant barriers you'd have to convince an admin about. Star Mississippi 16:39, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- My apologies for what I have down. I took a while to think and I realize now that yes, I am a sock puppet of User:ArianaRaykotto. I was just mad (both times) that my articles were removed. I did dumb actions when it happened, but if you look at some of my other edits they are good contributions. Like when I removed spam or harmful links from RedOne Records. Also I don't know who removed every contribution from Discogs but you did not have to switch ownership of Will.I.Am Music Group back to Interscope Records Will.i.am Music Group is now owned by Sony Music. Anyways I am not saying to unban my account but maybe in 4 or 5 years? MaxAvery1999 (talk) 16:03, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
- By the way I don't know why at the beginning it says "My apologies for what I have down.". I am sorry but I don't remember typing that for some reason. MaxAvery1999 (talk) 16:04, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
I only have one account yet I am blocked for having multiple?
[edit]MaxAvery1999 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I have been blocked for having multiple accounts and that my account is a "sock puppet" but I only have one account. Why is this?
Decline reason:
My use of the checkuser tool confirms you are a sock of ArianaRaykotto (talk · contribs). PhilKnight (talk) 17:03, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- As you know, you were blocked last year for promotional editing, under the username ArianaRaykotto. That account is still blocked, you are not eligible for a new account. You can request unblock over there, but you will need to be very clear about your relationship with the subjects you have been writing about, and undertake to stop editing in order to promote subjects you are connected to. - That's my dumb step sister, we share the family computer.— Preceding unsigned comment added by MaxAvery1999 (talk • contribs) 20:23, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) I'm not an administrator, but I've been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Administrators almost never respond favorably to unblock requests like WP:NOTTHEM or WP:LITTLEBROTHER. You're best chance at getting unblocked is most likely going to be following the advice given above and asking for WP:STANDARDOFFER. You might have to "sit on the bench for awhile", but editors who follow the advice given in STANDARDOFFER often end up being unblocked when they are able to clearly demonstrate to administrators that they understand why they were blocked and are capable of not repeating the same mistakes that led them to being blocked. If administrators start to feel your making frivolous unblock requests, they will just keep declining them. If you do that too many times, they will take away your ability to even edit this talk page. Follow the advice given in WP:UNBLOCK and demonstrate you understand where you made your mistakes and that you now know not to do such things again. An indefinite block doesn't necessary mean "forever" and indefinitely blocked users have been unblocked and gone on to become very productive Wikipedia editors. The onus, however, is on you to convince administrators that you can become one of those editors. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:56, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

I am sorry, it was quite very stupid what I did.
[edit]What I did was very foolish, I threw a minor temper tantrum when things did not go my way. I am very embarrassed with myself for acting that way. I am 100% ArianaRaykotto and will from now forward stop denying it. I am not asking to be unbanned but maybe look at my better contributions. Like when I removed harmful links from 2101 Records. Maybe unban me in 4 or 5 years, then I'll know better. I'll have to.
