Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Mananbhat, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Ishfaq Manzoor, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. You can also type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! bonadea contributions talk 17:54, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ishfaq Manzoor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ishfaq Manzoor. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. bonadea contributions talk 17:54, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You have gone to WP:UNDELETE with this but the article was deleted at AfD, so I suspect that this will be declined. If you disagree with the AfD decision then you should go to WP:DRV or discuss with the admin that deleted it at User talk:Liz. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 15:59, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Mananbhat, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:09, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mananbhat. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Ishfaq Manzoor, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Mananbhat. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Mananbhat|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 11:01, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

there is definitely not like that , and just restore the deleted article the necessary modifications will be done as per the Wikipedia rules and regulations, appropriate and required info will be added and nothing contradictory to Wikipedia policies will be added. I assure you in future nothing against Wikipedia policies will be added . Mananbhat (talk) 14:03, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your reply dissembles. You avoid the question. Answer directly, please. Lack of a direct answer suggests that you choose not to answer. I am thus about to ask it formally, for the second time. Please answer it correctly. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:57, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Mananbhat, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Mananbhat|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:57, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am not either directly or indirectly compensated for my edits. I don't have any financial stake in editing,
The article that was deleted once restored will be modified accordingly and of u still find the article needs to be deleted you may proceed for the same, no request for article restoration will be made. Mananbhat (talk) 16:10, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the first paragraph of your reply. You have answered clearly. That was all you were required to do.
I have no interest in the second paragraph. You may take this to Deletion Review. If you do not do so then nothing will happen. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 16:46, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Spiderone and Timtrent. The community has spoken - we do not want this article. If you believe this discussion was not settled correctly, your only process is to have that action reviewed at deletion review. - UtherSRG (talk) 18:50, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@UtherSRG ok sure.... and thanks Mananbhat (talk) 18:51, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your behaviour is inappropriate. I have told you very clearly your three options. Inappropriate behaviour is not one of them. You have ignored the correct route persistently and wilfully. Perhaps you might read WP:ICANTHEARYOU. Your options are in the section With regard to "Ishfaq Manzoor". The alternative option is that you carry on as you are and thereby choose to lose all editing privileges here. Please choose wisely. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 19:00, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Additional sources for Ishfaq Manzoor

[edit]

Your formal request at Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion#Ishfaq_Manzoor has been denied.

You claim on my talk page and at user talk:Liz that you have additional sources to demonstrate notability. Why did you not add these during the week that the nomination Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ishfaq Manzoor was running? The only reference you added was a second citation to confirm Manzoor's support for public libraries.

As you have not yet established credibility for yourself on this page, then before asking again for the article to be undeleted, please state here what grounds for notability you have come up with, and what references (citations) you have for these. – Fayenatic London 15:43, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

i m sorry for that i have not modified the article during the article deletion nomination , now i request you the article may be restored so that i can add necessary modifications, if you still find the article needs to be deleted you may proceed for the same , no requests for restoration of the article will be made. Mananbhat (talk) 16:07, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Believe me, at 03:52 on 20 December you added:
SMSala. "Ishfaq Manzoor promotes book reading culture by encouraging establishment of domestic libraries". Rising Kashmir. Retrieved 2022-12-20.
This was in addition to "Meet Ishfaq manzoor, "J&K's Ist person behind setting up of domestic libraries"". Global Kashmir (Press release). 10 December 2022.
Now please state the grounds for notability. Otherwise you are wasting your own time as well as that of other editors. – Fayenatic London 18:21, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Fayenatic london the person has promoted book reading culture that has declined , and besides he had also setup a dozens of domestic libraries . this is really an amazing work to confirm notability and he is the the talk of town . Mananbhat (talk) 18:25, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Which criteria at Wikipedia:Notability (people) can you show from WP:Reliable sources that this person meets? – Fayenatic London 18:29, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Fayenatic london People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple platforms Mananbhat (talk) 18:35, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please read and understand With regard to "Ishfaq Manzoor", and stop arguing with people. Read also WP:42. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 19:04, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please read the rest of that criterion until you understand it. The above two citations are basically the same article, so are not intellectually independent of each other, and appear to be primary rather than secondary sources. – Fayenatic London 19:15, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

With regard to "Ishfaq Manzoor"

[edit]

First stop badgering editors on their talk pages. No individual editor will undelete this item. Please cease and desist.

Second, if you truly believe the deletion was in error, make your case at Deletion Review. No other venue is of any use.

Third, If that discussion closes in a way that displeases you, please understand that you may not simply recreate an article similar to that which was deleted. You may, however, create a substantially different article, or ideally a draft article. That new creation must be well referenced. Assuming Manzoor to be alive then we require references thus:

For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS, and is significant coverage. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact cited, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make this draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the person is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today.

I wish you every success. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 17:09, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@DoubleGrazing this must not be deleted , what you do is instantly nominating the page for deletion and you don't allow to add referances and all.
i am going to further add referances and all.
just do restore and undo the process of nomination for deletion.
previously the page deleted was not provided with an adequate chance .
hence kindly submit for undo , don't submit for deletion. Mananbhat (talk) 18:18, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The article was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ishfaq Manzoor. You have been told that the only remaining way of contesting that outcome is WP:DRV. Pestering other editors and telling them that they must create the article is not acceptable. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 19:15, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Following what Spiderone says, if you do not cease this pestering, I will immediately revoke your editing privileges. You've already been warned several times that your current trajectory is incorrect. Adjust now. - UtherSRG (talk) 19:18, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Ishfaq Kulgami has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not even a smidgen of notability. None of the articles discuss a 'Ishfaq Kulgami'.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 18:33, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing

[edit]

By repeatedly recreating material without improving it, you are in danger of being blocked for WP: Disruptive editing. Please discuss the problems here before doing so again – after all, what is the hurry, if you are not being paid for it? – Fayenatic London 19:09, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted your edit seeking to provide a short description. Please think before you add these, the more so when Wikidata presents a sensible option for optional import. "Deemed university" was totally unhelpful and I have reverted it in favour of the Wikidata description. You are required, as are we all, to use mature judgement in making edits. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 20:14, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
