Hi there Lunchballer! Say I wanted to talk to you about the use of Discogs and get some advice. I've been running into situations where I need information off an actual album and don't happen to own it or have access to it--it's usually either for songwriters' credits or for record company information. I've been using Discogs as a source for this if I can't find it anywhere else because most of the time the info on Discogs is repeated off of an album, oftentimes verbatim. I would like to keep using Discogs for info on the actual LP if I could as a last resort because it is easy for people to check. That said, if you have any other ideas or better ways to source this (maybe there is a way to source the album cover itself?) I would be happy to do those instead. For the time being I reverted the edit because otherwise some of the info is unsourced but please let me know what suggestions you have. List of Mock the Week Episodes

I can't accept your revision - Another reason there is no notable relevance to the score info is that the show does not use the format of "Team Captains"; Hugh Dennis is mentioned as one only in publicity material, but on the show, he is never mentioned as one, nor whoever is in the centre seat of the right team. Thus, the information on wins and such like has no proper notability whatsoever, especially as the show is more about improve comedy and stand-up than a serious competition. @Launchballer: Man... Why did I revert that guy's revisions? I apologise for acting the way that I did, but he is basically stating that there should be consensus on this, yet I don't know what this would achieve. I simply was correcting the article by removing information that lacked any notability whatsoever. Did you know that Cwmxii has also requested protection of the page as well, right after yours? GUtt01 Cwmxii was adding a report manually, so it's likely he was edit conflicted (I used Twinkle). Having been blocked twice in 2013/2014 for edit warring, I do understand that it can be a heat-of-the-moment thing. That said, I do agree that although the show is not intended as a serious competition, many people have said that they won't do it because it feels like one. In addition, scores are given at the end of the episode, which I would argue are worth a mention. If you disagree with describing Hugh et al as 'team captains', how would you identify the teams? @Launchballer: Dara doesn't actually mentions scores at all in the show. When a round is over, Dara declares who wins by simply saying "The points for this round go to (names of performers who Dara judged were best)", while he ends the show by simply saying who the winner is without mentioning scores at all. He generally ends with "This week's winners are (name of performers on the team that won). Commiserations to (names of performers who lost)." There is no mention of scores whatsoever (Dara, as I recall, called it "bullshit"), and the person sitting in the centre is never called the 'team captain'; that's only in publicity material, but even then, it's never used as such in the show. There is no need to call a team, "Hugh's Team; Andy's Team"; I think Left team and Right Team is sufficient. GUtt01 (talk) 17:57, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know. Maybe the colours should just be the same, but different for each series. As for wins, surely that information could just be passed over to the main article, and just list the wins of the members who were permanent panellists on their tenure with the show? I would go with that, not stating Series wins. I mean, for shows like HIGNFY and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, I would not argue against such information, but possibly against it being in an article that is meant to list episodes. I also do not understand why we need the pictures in it; I believe they serve a better purpose in the main article. But I do approve you putting in some protection on the page because of the dispute between myself and Cwmxii. @Launchballer:I guess the Wins table needs some serious consensus for the time being; I personally don't agree with it, but that's just me. But thanks for seeing my view on the pictures. As for the tables, I had further thought. I believe that each should stick to a coloured background, or coloured table headers, that are different for each series. I also believe that for each series, instead of "Hugh's Team" and "Andy's Team" (for example), it should be headed as "With Frankie Boyle and Hugh Dennis", and so forth. I see you are considering RfA. I do not vote at RfA anymore, but may at yours. Your name reminded me of something. Although three years ago, I feel that this thread showed evasiveness, unresponsiveness, and a lack of fair dealing that would be completely unacceptable by an admin. If it was some emotional outburst three years ago, that would be fine. But you were a 17-year-old grown up then and had been at Wikipedia for four years. I know that SPI was when you were thirteen, but !voters will find that level of lying shocking nevertheless. That, along with the thread I point out, and your AfD calls being around 50-50 of getting it right, passing an RfA would be a longshot, not a coin flip (in my humble view). Look at User:Oshwah. This fellow is practically a model editor and all around mensch. He was a little short on content contribs and once did a NAC unblock request and 63 people rained opposes down on him for it. How many opposes would your transgressions garner? Remember, when a !voter decides, it has a double impact. Opposes usually mean a missing support !vote. I may be completely wrong, but your past may doom any RfA anytime within the next few years or longer.
Being up front is a gesture (but not necessarily an indication) of honesty and forthcomingness. Whether they find the facts by digging or you presenting them, they speak loudly -- louder, and in contradiction to that gesture. Many people feel that once a liar, always a liar. About Fulham, naming and advertising

Hello Launchballer, I agree that the Fulham article contained a lot of opinion and advertising. I have done my best to remove it. I do think, however, that to erase the Harwood Arms PH completely is harsh. It is a pleasant venue at the end of a particularly pleasing street, Walham Grove - incidentally the only memorial to the village of Walham Green, on which the parish and indeed Fulham is based and which gave its name to the tube station before it was renamed - and I think it and the Maltster at the other end, both deserve inclusion, with only historical detail. I must admit that when I saw it in the article a couple of days ago, I couldn't work out why it was in there. Now I think about it, I think my original justification was that it's peer-reviewed (that issue was checked by my sister and father before publication, though the latter's too ill to help with them any more), only uses reliable sources (these are linked inline in text a different colour to the rest) and contains clear editorial oversight (suggestions go in the contact us form and are checked against other sources before implementation); therefore there was a slim chance it might have been reliable. I won't add it again. That said, Kudpung, I'm planning on doing an overhaul of the site after discovering how to remove the .htm bit from the subpages; what would you change the look to?--Launchballer 07:27, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
