Steve Hamilton (broadcaster)

[edit]

Created by Launchballer (talk). Self-nominated at 08:03, 9 June 2016 (UTC).

  • New enough. Long enough. QPQ done. No close paraphrasing issues, copyright violations or plagiarism found. Hook is good, but the source does not explicitly state that Hamilton was on the show from beginning to end. Also, as it is mainly known as an American show, I think it should add "in the UK" at the end. The article lacks citations for his birth and death, for much of his early life, and his personal life. And there are no categories! Edwardx (talk) 18:51, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
Oops, I was fiddling around with two references but only opted to use one, placing bits of both in each. Fixed. A vague hook is a good hook.--Launchballer 19:36, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
The source for the hook states his "voice ... became a familiar backdrop to the show throughout its 13-year run." This does not support the hook statement that he "was the only constant member", so how about ALT1
Thank you Cwmhiraeth, your ALT1 resolves that issue, so I have struck the original hook. However, my other concerns, "Also, as it is mainly known as an American show, I think it should add "in the UK" at the end. The article lacks citations for his birth and death, for much of his early life, and his personal life." remain. Launchballer, the only source is now showing up, in Firefox at least, as a blank page! I've commented the source's contents as a parameter into the article's reference (we can oversight it later). The source covers everything, including the early and personal life sections and both dates.--Launchballer 16:09, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
Source still not working for me in Firefox, but it is fine in Chrome. Edwardx (talk) 16:46, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
  • The article cites only one source. Can you provide more to verify notability? Yoninah (talk) 23:52, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
I've added another couple.--Launchballer 19:45, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Thank you. Restoring tick per Edwardx's review. Yoninah (talk) 19:23, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Promoted, adding "the UK" to ALT1 per Edwardx. Montanabw(talk) 04:06, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
