WrestleMania 23Due to some unforseen real-life cirucmstances involving college, I'm going to be unable to devout enough time and energy to be able to fully source WM23. If you don't mind, I'd like to take you up on your earlier offer of sourcing it. I'll still be active. but I don't think I'll ever really have enough time at once to take on a large project like that again, so expect to see me in my normal vandalism-reverting, redirect-avoiding mode. Whilst I'm sure that your small but greatly appreciated edit of the Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad article was a purely innocent, routine gesture, I was wondering whether you, as an administrator who's taken an interest in the piece, could please GA review the article. I'm sure that you get requests from newbs like me for attention all the time, but I've done a helluva lot of work to the page recently and I genuinely feel that it's ready for inspection. It's not very long anyway, so it shouldn't take up too much of your time. Despite that, thanks for your help in cleaning the article up. Oh, and I stole a little code from your userpage. I was wondering because I had the bright idea not too long ago that SummerSlam might make an excellent Featured Topic. A couple of the SummerSlam articles are already Good Articles, so we'd just have to get the rest of them to that point. Also, for it to be a FT, at least five of the articles have to be Featured Articles or Lists. I was thinking about it, and SS '07 has a shot, SummerSlam (1988) has a shot, and I think I might be able to get the general SummerSlam article to be a FL (similar to what I did for Royal Rumble). Also, if I do end up taking it straight to FA, I want to make it fair to you. Do you want me to nominate my article before or after yours? In after, do you want me to wait a certain amount of days? Re:Survivor Series (2005)I was pretty sure that you would be unable to find a source for Long/Bischoff, but it's okay that you didn't. I would prefer to see these PPV articles have some kind of reception section but most project members disagree (According to some members, any time you put somebody's opinion, it's weasel words). Anyway, the article looks pretty good to me, so I'll promote it. Guys that was all an edit conflict. When I get into an edit conflict, I generally copy my work, go back, and paste it. I didn't realized that the edit conflict was caused by your guy's comments on the talk page. It was all completely my mistake, so if you will, please go back to the page and take credit for what you did. It may be to a certain degree OR, but if you can back it up by saying that angles were played out to remove superstars from TV (for instance; Chavo had to say I Quit against Rey; Triple H literally destroyed Umaga with the slegehammer; Morrison lost the ECW title) it should be OK. The information is accurate, due to the fact that the majority of information can be found in either the events themselves (easily findable on DVD (and originally VHS), or in magazines and magazine suppliments sch as PWI and it's spin-off magazines or the WWE's own magazine. As such, the information I have supplied is as factual as possible, and when I make any mistakes in an edit, I make a point to make the corrections myself. Furthermore, the 'fancruft' tag strikes me as redundant. As does 'Original research.' All research is at some point 'original'. As such, if 'original research' is not allowed on Wikipedia, why does Wikipedia exist at all? As new information becomes available, and is almost immediately made available on wikipedia, that informastion is at some point original research no matter where or what the source of the information is. This strikes me as running counter to wikipedia's very purpose. Either Wikipedia IS something that anyone can edit and make changes to so long as the information is accurate regardless of who provides the information, or it is NOT. And from what I've been seeing by the constant undoing of information I have made efforts to include, since the articles seem to vary between whether or not notes are included in the WrestleMania articles or aren't, it seems to be leaning towards the idea that Wikipedia is NOT something anyone can add information to if the information is accurate. In other words, I would request that the Wikipedia staff please reconsider it's stance on 'original research' because it seems to impede the very idea behind allowing people to add information to an article simply because of who might have done the research to find this information. It is both unfair and pointless. Such an impediment makes Wikipedia seem like it shouldn't even be around if 'original research' is grounds for the removal of an edit. Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. If you have another method, you can use that, too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
