AfC notification: Draft:Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace has a new comment
[edit]Sharon Kopp moved to draftspace. The article is undersourced.
[edit]An article you recently created, Sharon Kopp, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - Hi: Thanks for reaching out. I'm just starting out as a Wiki contributor, so I definitely appreciate any and all guidance and feedback. I deleted the reference to her car collector father, but I thought the rest of the entry was pretty much a straight-ahead listing of her career without embellishments. It would be a huge help if you could point out the assertions that prompted the decision to delete the page. I'll do my best to remedy those transgressions so this doesn't happen again down the road. I look forward to hearing from you.
- Again, thanks for the feedback.
- Regards,
- Kevin Kevinaitch (talk) 09:22, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

- It seems you have copypasted the existing Draft:Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace and published it in the main article space, AfC tags and all. Why did you do that? Anyway, I've moved it to drafts, and declined it as a duplicate. Please don't create more copies of the same. Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:32, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hi: I'm really sorry. I'm a new contributor and I was just trying to update the entry, not create a new one. Definitely my mistake, but please know I wasn't trying to pull a fast one. Today, I updated the original draft (I hope). Please let me know if I did it the right way. Again, I apologize for the error and thank you for your input, guidance and patience. I really appreciate it. -- Kevinaitch (talk) 04:57, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Flipper's NYC.pdf
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Flipper's NYC.pdf. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:30, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Draft-Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace.pdf
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Draft-Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace.pdf. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 03:26, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hi: Thanks for helping a newbie navigate Wiki's protocol. The pic I uploaded is a promotional photo from Flipper's website (flippers.world). My understanding is that it complies with fair-use guidelines. Please advise! Thanks again for your guidance and patience. I really appreciate it. ---- Kevinaitch (talk) 21:34, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's WP:non-free content policy is stricter than fair use. Non-free images need to meet all of the WP:non-free content criteria. Note WP:NFCC#9 allows non-free content only in article space. You are working on a draft which is in draft space and so this non-free images is not allowed for your draft. Even if your draft is moved to article space I see the following issues. WP:NFCC#10c requires that you provide a non-free usage rationale which this image currently is missing. Looking at your draft, it appears that the intent is to use the image in the infobox just to show what it looks like. That would not satisfy WP:NFCC#1. You cannot use a non-free image if a free image could be made as somebody could take a photo of the Flipper's under a free license. -- Whpq (talk) 02:10, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Flipper's NYC.pdf
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Flipper's NYC.pdf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 03:26, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Draft-Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace.pdf
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Draft-Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace.pdf. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:13, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

[edit]AfC notification: Draft:Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace has a new comment
[edit]- Thanks for taking the time to review this submission. Not sure why there's still an objection. The article doesn't read like a press release, nearly every sentence is linked to reputable sources like Vogue and NY Times. I would really appreciate it if you could point out specific sentences/claims that are troubling. This has been a frustrating experience, fast approaching six months since the original submission.
- Thanks again for your time and consideration. I sincerely appreciate it. Kevinaitch (talk) 21:06, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi: Still hoping for guidance to make this article acceptable for publication. The review process is supposed to take 4 months. It's now been 6 months. As I've noted previously, nearly every sentence is linked to reputable sources like The NY Times and Vogue. Anything that might be interpreted as promotional has been culled. Please help. Thank you.
