Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jandira Feghali, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Paraná. Ways to improve Airton Sandoval

[edit]

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Jvalienforce, thanks for creating Airton Sandoval!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This needs more references, especially as it is on a living person.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Deletion discussion about Carlos Marun

[edit]

Hello, Jvalienforce,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Carlos Marun should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Carlos Marun .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Non-free image use

[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically Brazilian municipal elections, 2012, may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:34, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Meaning of sentences

[edit]

Jvalien, I'm reviewing Cabo Daciolo, and I've been copy editing, but I don't understand a couple of sentences:

  • "PSOL also decided, 31 to 24, to not claim to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) Daciolo's term."
  • "On December 2017, it was reported the acquition of Daciolo by the Supreme Federal Court based in a law proposed by him when he was target of a lawsuit."

I don't know what either of these sentences mean. Could you please explain in other words? Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:14, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Route diagrams

[edit]

Hi, please try to keep the style of route diagrams consistent with other diagrams on enwiki (e.g. unless you add a specific legend like this template's, use blue icons for subway and monorail lines and red icons for railway and commuter rail lines; and use continuation arrows). I notice that the candidates list are currently grouped under "Potential candidates". Please avoid including any content that is speculation (per WP:CRYSTAL)––if candidates have not been announced, it's best to just not include them, although you may want to rewrite the content into a "Background" or similarly titled section that explains why various individuals may be relevant to the 2020 election.

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

[edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Hello, Jvalienforce

Thank you for creating Santa Marina (São Paulo Metro).

User:Insertcleverphrasehere, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

The lede needs a bit more clarity... took me a few moments to even figure out what kind of station this is meant to be (I assume a train station). Sometimes it is hard to see what a layman will see when seeing it for the first time. The 'metro' makes it somewhat clear, but the word train should be somewhere there at the start.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Renato Feder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi Jvalienforce, I noticed that you're replacing {{rint}} templates with images for Sao Paulo Metro route diagrams. Your draft article, Draft:ADPF 153

[edit]

Hello, Jvalienforce. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "ADPF 153".

I may need some help on this article and other ones (concerning other gubernatorial elections in Brazil)

[edit]

Hello. I noticed you're one of the editors of 2022 Rio de Janeiro gubernatorial election. Since I have some things to do on my personal life on the next weeks (related to studies), i'm afraid i'm not going to be able to edit and contribute to the article actively, so i'd like to ask if you can keep editing some sections of this article. I already did some work on some sections today, but the article wasn't been updated since 23 July 2022.

I really appreciate the support. Thanks. Sailoratlantis (talk) 21:16, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from pt.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. I’ve added it for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 03:37, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Liberal-Radical Party

[edit]

Hello, Jvalienforce,

Thank you for creating Liberal-Radical Party.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The one source included in the article doesn't mention "Partido Liberal-Radical" or any variations of it. Not only there's no indication of notability, there's no indication of the party ever existing. If this cannot be fixed, the article will have to be nominated for deletion.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Rkieferbaum}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Election schedule of the 2024 Indian general election did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Kautilya3 (talk) 07:47, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
