Speedy deletion of Johnmoor
A tag has been placed on Johnmoor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. OliverTwisted 06:09, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
December 2008
You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Johnmoor. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.
Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.
If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. faithless (speak) 06:11, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

GoImprint.com
You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
The article GoImprint.com has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:21, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Why Obama Will Win in 2008 & 2012
A tag has been placed on Why Obama Will Win in 2008 & 2012, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Reichsfurst (talk) 20:18, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Reichsfurst, I am contesting this speedy deletion on the grounds that the article in question is on a topic relevant to the society; it is about a genuine work of an individual, a book. I agree that I wrote the article in a hurry so there are some errors which I will correct and improve upon now. Thank you —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 09:41, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Buhari with Bakare and el-Rufai - cropped.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Buhari with Bakare and el-Rufai - cropped.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 21:07, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Buhari with Bakare and el-Rufai - cropped.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Buhari with Bakare and el-Rufai - cropped.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 21:07, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Why Obama Will Win in 2008 & 2012
The page Why Obama Will Win in 2008 & 2012 has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promotes something, and which is unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. It's essentially an ad for a selfpublished book. The sources discuss the author, but not this book. NawlinWiki (talk) 12:44, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Why Obama Will Win in 2008 & 2012
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Why Obama Will Win in 2008 & 2012, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". - That isn't how it works. There are myriads of non-notable books out there, and this self-published work, which has attracted no significant attention, is one of them. The "article" is a blatant advertisement and has been deleted as such. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:40, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Orange Mike, This book is noteworthy in the sense that it is one of the earliest published books if not the first to predict an Obama win even before he got Democratic Party nomination in 2008; the the Village Voice attests to this. Must a book win an award or get mentioned by Times before it makes Wikipedia article? I think you should look at the article as it were before 15 February 2012, when it was messed up by User:Inlandmamba. Please, am requesting a restore. Thank you. —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 17:32, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
- On the contrary, the Mamba's edits were well-intentioned efforts to establish a context for the book, and constitute a good-faith, albeit unsuccessful, effort to make a case for the book's notability. Either in your version or the modified one, the book still grossly fails our tests of notability. There's only one reference, and it certainly doesn't make any case for notability, since it's basically about how non-notable both author and book are. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:54, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
- Did you say that "the Mamba's edits were well-intentioned efforts to establish a context for the book, and constitute a good-faith"? Then you are being 'intentionally biased', because it is obvious that User:Inlandmamba's edits is purely not written from a neutral point of view; he was even presenting the author instead of the book itself. Besides there is not just one reference in my contribution; if you had looked through, how about The Online Books Page - University of Pennsylvania - Library and Social Science Research Network, and the listing in the Library of Congress Online Catalog? —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 18:30, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
- What about them? None of this constitutes a substantial discussion of the work in question. This is not a book from some scholarly press, this is a self-published piece whose author appears to be engaged in a long futile quest for recognition. Wikipedia is not a place to seek recognition for an ignored work, it is a place where subjects which have already achieved recognition are described with meaningful information taken from impartial reliable sources. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:07, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Notability of books
You seem to be having difficulty understanding what makes a book notable as far as Wikipedia is concerned. Perhaps it would help if you saw the appropriate guidelines, which are Wikipedia:Notability (books). There is even a section on self-published books. (If you wish to respond, please do so here.) HairyWombat 22:37, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
- maNY THAnks, HairyWombat, wOw, you just made my day; it seems some administrators (Orange Mike and co) do not realise that a less advanced contributor need be properly guided by them who are advanced users. All that is needed to clear me of all doubts is your pointer to the self-published books section of the notability of books. Thanks again. —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 11:05, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

The article GoImprint has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No assertion of notability per WP:COMPANY; borderline WP:SPAM; no significant coverage online from WP:Reliable sources
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Scopecreep (talk) 12:19, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
Nomination of GoImprint for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article GoImprint is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/GoImprint until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Scopecreep (talk) 14:34, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Marriage 10 by Laura Myntti.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Marriage 10 by Laura Myntti.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

Personal attacks
John, you have now accused me of vandalism, edit warring, and gaming the system (implying an intention to damage the encyclopedia). I have tried to be patient, but I would really appreciate it if you could accept that the fact that I have a different point of view from yours does not necessarily mean that my motives are somehow suspect. Thanks. --Guillaume2303 (talk) 22:13, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- As Morning277 pointed out on the Afd, you are all over the place including Cataobh's talk page, "either putting down others' point of view or attempting to push yours further", and your comment (by 10:04, 26 May 2012 (UTC)) on the Afd clearly shows how desperate. You are the one who is attacking everyone else who holds contrary views to yours; anyway, please do not turn my talk page into another battleground. Thank you. —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 13:28, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
- As far as I can see, I have disagreed with people, but at no point have I questioned anybody's motives. Anyway, as you wish, I won't post here again, but I urge you to take some distance: by all means, give your arguments as eloquently as possible, but I will not tolerate any more personal attacks. Thanks. --Guillaume2303 (talk) 13:37, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
Regarding List of open access projects edit
May I know the reason behind removing the OMICS Publishing Group from the list of Open access publishers? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.72.245.169 (talk) 05:23, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
- You should have directed your question to Guillaume2303, he reverted your edits (probably) because OMICS Publishing Group is not notable enough to be on that list. I have alerted him, so he may probably give you an answer here or on your talk page. —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 12:07, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
- Let me do it here, to keep things together (and some IPs are dynamic anyway): John is completely right. This publisher has an article on WP (i.e., is notable) solely because of their shady business practices. That list needs some more pruning, which I will do later today. I have no clue how the IP came here (as far as I can see, Johnmoor never even edited that article). If more discussion is necessary, please do that on my talk page or on the talk page of the article, not here. Thanks. --Guillaume2303 (talk) 12:32, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

The article Danielle Cortes DeVito has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable individual lacking GHits and GNEWs of substance. Appears to fail WP:BIO.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 15:28, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

See Also sections
Hi Johnmoor. First, I want to say that overall, the article you started on FullCircle was quite good--thanks for the contributions! Regarding the See Also, if you check the WP style guide, (see WP:SEEALSO), it explains that articles that are already linked in the text should not be linked in a See Also section. So, yes, Geosocial networking is directly relevant to FullCircle, but it's also already linked in the first line. Qwyrxian (talk) 21:57, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Navarino Biscuits.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Navarino Biscuits.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Eeekster (talk) 22:16, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Dellamarie Parrilli
The reason that 75.30.105.14 removed the content from Dellamarie Parrilli was per request of Parrilli herself per this edit summary. That is a flagrant conflict of interst. There are no BLP issues here that I can see. The "author" not approving the display of work, "because" Parrilli does not own it is not a valid reason to remove it by any means. The information is notable and contributes to the article. I think you should undo your changes. What is your view on this? Jim1138 (talk) 23:08, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Jim1138, you are right that there could be possibly WP:COI with 75.30.105.14's edits, but in keeping with WP:BLP guidelines which demands that BLPs "must be written conservatively and with regard for the subject's privacy", I have removed potentially libellous and contentious contents which I could not back up with more than one reliable or secondary source, and after tuning down the voice to reflect less on the sensitive issue of the subject's illnesses, I found that the subsections under "Career" were not well developed anymore, so I merged them. All the same, the substance of the original contents of the article is preserved or retained, so let us keep it as it is now, and hope that 75.30.105.14 do not make further disruptive edits. Thank you. —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 13:06, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. Your edits have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in you being blocked from editing. Rhode Island Red (talk) 20:35, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- My edits are in no way WP:DE, rather yours is and it looks like WP:GAME too. I have undid your revision and added WP:RFC to the talk page; I hope you would respect that and wait for a consensus. Thank you. —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 11:01, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Wikiproject Cooperation
Hi Johnmoor! I've noticed that you seem to be doing a lot of paid editing lately. This, as you probably know, is fine, but you may wish to familiarise yourself with the conflict of interest guideline if you haven't already, and current best practice would recommend that you reveal your involvement in the articles. However, I particularly wanted to point you to WikiProject Cooperation, as the people there have been doing a lot to assist editors doing this type of work, and they may be of assistance to you. - Bilby (talk) 01:05, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Bilby! I learnt about WP:COI since my very first contribution, which was about myself, Johnmoor. Writing about commercial concerns or businesses should not be misconstrued as paid editing. I have since realised that many users who concerns themselves with mostly enforcing the rules are often sceptical of commercial or businesses related topics, and like I did with my first contribution, I have seen that most commercial or businesses related contributions are made in similar circumstance, so, since I would rather contribute good articles and let others enforce the rules, I concern myself with improving on existing articles and creating new ones from topics I find worthy, including those declined at WP:AFC, left on user pages, talk pages or sandboxes. In any case, I am aware of Wikipedia:Paid editing (policy), and I appreciate your concern and recommendations. Thank you. —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 10:39, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- No hassles. It is your choice on how to proceed. I was concerned because of the issue of what appears to be adding backlinks to Açaí palm on top of the recent problems with the images on Navarino Icons. But that's fine - both issues seem to have been resolved without too many concerns. - Bilby (talk) 10:57, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- I should clarify that I'm not particularly concerned with people being paid to edit, but with people making edits because they are being paid that create other problems. The focus should be on the edits, not why the person is editing. But being paid, especially for adding backlinks, to remove content, or to protect an article, can make it difficult to choose the best option for Wikipedia, and often leads to issues. Which is why I'm hoping Wikiproject Cooperation can help people out before the issues end up being too serious. - Bilby (talk) 11:28, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- I am learning about this project for the first time; it is good, particularly the Paid Editor Help board. I agree with you that all users should uphold the rules, always, because if Wikipedia has no good reputation, the paid editor would have no job to do. —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 12:09, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi there. Your recent move of the Eko Atlantic City article has not been done properly. The new article Eko Atlantic does not give attribution to the original author. The original article creator, whose content you copied into the Eco Atlantic article, does not appear in the history page of Eko Atlantic. Correcting this issue would be a good idea. If you don't know how to do this, you might want to get the assistance of an Administrator. Thank you. Amsaim (talk) 21:37, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hello Amsaim, Although I did not mention the user who initially created Eko Atlantic City, my edit summaries clearly state the origin of the contents—Eko Atlantic City: Revision history and Eko Atlantic: Revision history, but since you mention it, I have left credit to the creator on the talk page. Thank you. —JOHNMOORofMOORLAND (talk) 11:33, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
