Rumors

[edit]

I removed the rumor about the dog running away. We don't treat off the record rumors with equal weight as verifiable facts. Arzel (talk) 16:57, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Erase & rewind

Delete. Delete. Useless article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.120.38.253 (talk) 18:16, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Seems inappropriate to delete. Possibly merge without redirect, if we could figure out a target. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 18:54, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

delete this entire article?

[edit]

i don't even see why it is still around and people are still pent up editing little details from decades ago. most of the edits i see being made seem as though to be made as a mark against Romney's character. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.98.30.192 (talk) 20:41, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I personally have no strong feelings about whether this article stays or goes, but the presence of eight Talk archives and three AfD debates indicate that other people sure do. Wasted Time R (talk) 00:36, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Historically documented and important. Passes WP:GNG. Is encylopedic, sourced to WP:RS, and written WP:NPOV. You are trying to rewrite history. Multiple WP:AFD discussions disagree with you. Don't read it if you don't like it. 7&6=thirteen () 21:12, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Or nominate it again if you feel consensus has changed. I see those AfDs were from 2012, so maybe some people are more likely to vote delete now that he's not a presidential candidate. Not that keeping it because he was a presidential candidate would've been valid, but who knows. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:31, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I would !vote Keep. Notability is not temporary.--BabbaQ (talk) 21:46, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

evidence of normal behavior?

[edit]

I just ran across this comic strip from 1964 which suggests that placing your dog on your car roof was normal behavior for a road trip. Perhaps putting a dog on a car roof is comparable to the fact that it used to be normal to leave your kids in the car, in the parking lot, while you shopped. Should this be acknowledged? Can it be acknowledged with this image, which is likely still under copyright (and may be deleted from my upload to Wikimedia Commons)?

Well, I'll add it at the end of the article, and if someone feels like removing it later they can do so. aruffo (talk) 14:59, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
