I respond to messages on my talk page to avoid broken discussions, but I do leave a {{talkback}} on your page.
I will do what I want with your comments, including referencing them, archiving them, or placing them on a page with some of my other all-time favorites.
I will archive sections every 1-3 months (or sooner if I get an overflow of messages), but if I archived a discussion too soon I will remove it from the archive and re-post it here.
Please do not edit my archives. See the above bullet if you feel that a discussion needs to be revived.
Do not attack me or anyone else. I treat everyone like civilized people, so if you act responsibly and reasonably make your point, I am more than likely going to do the same to you, even if I disagree. If you act like a jerk, don't expect respect from me.
You can also try e-mailing me, but don't ask for personal info, because if I wanted to tell the world who I am, I would have a MySpace account. Personal questions will be ignored.
Please leave me some feedback on my feedback page here. It is greatly appreciated.

The af2 schedule was released and the league's 10th anniversary season begins on March 20, 2009.
In November, the Louisville Firehave ceased operations as an af2 team. That is, for the 2009 season, atleast as one of the owners of the Fire, Will Wolford, and team General Manager Dave Berryman pitched to the Arena Football League the idea of Louiville joining the AFL.
The AFL announced that the 2009 disperal draft will take place Tuesday, December 2 at 1 p.m. ET. The league also annouced that the free agency period (which was pushed back) will begin at 12:01 a.m. ET on Thursday, December 4.
December 2, 1984 — Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino breaks the NFL single-season touchdown pass record when he threw his 37th in a 45-34 loss to the Oakland Raiders. He finished the season with 48 touchdown passes.
December 8, 1940 — The Chicago Bears established an NFL record by defeating the Washington Redskins 73-0 in the championship game. Ten Bears players score touchdowns as Chicago won the title before 36,034 in Washington, D.C. Each player received $873.
December 18, 1932 — The Chicago Bears defeated the Portsmouth Spartans 9-0 in a playoff game for the NFL championship after both teams finished the season with six wins. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Wrigley Field, but was moved indoors to Chicago Stadium because of snow and extreme cold. Special ground rules were set up to keep the ball in the middle of the improvised 80-yard long dirt-covered field that was flanked by walls on both sides. (Sounds reminsent of arena football, don't you think?)
December 23, 1972 — Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Oakland Raiders 13-7 in an AFC Divisional Playoff Game when Franco Harris' made, what when down in the history of professional sports as one of the greatest plays of all time, the "Immaculate Reception." It was also the first playoff win in franchise history.

As iMatthew said above, I'd rather keep it at a two-person team for the time being, sorry. Also, I plan to stop admin coaching people after Dendodge's RfA because I have no time for it, and unfortunately Dendodge was sort of abandoned in that respect. Apologies. Also, click here to make an Editnotice. Thanks for the understanding, Garden. 21:53, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Newsletter news
As you may have noticed, there is a slightly modified look to the newsletter. I felt this would be helpful for those issues with alot of news headlines, etc. So I thought I'd tell you alittle bit about it. The top section is the "Table of Contents," as the name states. The ONLY time anything else is to be included is when there is a BIG headline, such as the League's possible return in 2010, as above. Those headlines get their own special subsection in the Current events section. That is how things will be organized, also in the order they happen. Hope you enjoy it. If you have any questions or comments pleae feel free to leave them here.

AFL to return in 2010?
On March 23, it was announced that the AFL plans to return to play in 2010 after the league and the players union reached an agreement to amend the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Beginning with this issue, there will be NO transactions listed for the af2, as the list becomes too long, time consuming, cluttered and well, I just can't take doing it anymore. However, year, should the AFL in fact return, a transactions section will be up for them. I will still provide the section and links in every issue, just not a complete long list as before. Only notable players transactions will be included.

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list is provided in the stub-class category of stub articles that need to be improved, and some should be fairly easy.
A new category has been added here and any articles that are tagged for needing immediate attention are shown here and need serious work. We need to get on the ball. I know some of don't like working on the articles in the AFL offseason, but they need to be done.
New ArenaBowl article template
New template for ArenaBowl articles is here. Its sole purpose is to make the articles uniform and read better.
Usual needs crap that doesn't get done
Articles for the more popular and "star" players of the league need to be expanded, have citations added to them and hopefully we can get some GA's out of them.
All articles on active players and coaches need to be updated with stats, news, and all things important. (Note: For stats it's best to use ArenaFan.)
Please help in re-assessing articles, as well as expanding them. We need to get to work on it and get as much done as possible.
On May 28, QB Joe Ayoob was traded by the Amarillo Dusters to the Central Valley Coyotes for OS Steve "Speedy" Gonzalez and Future Considerations. The next day, Gonzalez was placed on the Dusters' Refused-to-Report list, possibly hinting that he is with the Dallas Cowboys.

In a humorous twist, U.S. District Judge Michael M. Baylson included four Bon Jovi song references and three football terms into the opening paragraphs of his 29-page opinion on AFL Philadelphia v. Krause, the lawsuit filed by former Sales manager Joseph Krause Jr.
Firecats tuck tail and run?
The Florida Firecats, whos lease with Germain Arena expires at the end of this season, may relocate. According to Firecats Chairman and principal owner Andrew Vallozzi, the team has received offers for a place to play in 2010 from several "major markets" .
On June 9, a Northern California judge allowed a class-action lawsuit against video game giant EA Sports to contiue. The suit claims that EA Sports "has and continues to engage in 'blatantly anticompetitive conduct' since 2004". And as the judge said in his ruling, "'As the court understands these allegations, interactive football software will not sell if it does not use the names, logos and other markers of teams that actually compete in the NFL. There is, in effect, no market for interactive football software in a virtual or fictitious setting. If true--as the court must at this point accept--this adequately alleges that there are no substitutes for interactive football software without the markers of actual teams and players.'"
No, it's not an new indoor sports version of the popular card game, sorry. However, on June 24, it was announced that the 2009 ArenaCup X would be held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Orleans Arena, the former home of the Las Vegas (now Cleveland Gladiators). It's the fourth time in the last five seasons that the af2 has held a neutral-site ArenaCup.
Break in the Fever?
On June 25, Doug MacGregor, who has owned the team since 2007 and challenged by a shrinking fan base and revenue, stated he's considering folding the Tri-Cities Fever if he cannot find some local investors by the end of the summer. The Fever are the only team in af2 with a sole owner, though he has stakes in five other af2 teams, Corpus Christi Sharks, Tennessee Valley Vipers, Amarillo Dusters, Peoria Pirates and the Boise Burn, each of which also has a local owner or ownership group.

Hello Jock Boy! The WMF is currently developing new tools to make new page patrolling much easier. Whether you have patrolled many pages or only a few, we now need to know about your experience. The survey takes only 6 minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist us in analyzing the results of the survey; the WMF will not use the information to identify you.
If this invitation also appears on other accounts you may have, please complete the survey once only.
If this has been sent to you in error and you have never patrolled new pages, please ignore it.
Please click HERE to take part.
Many thanks in advance for providing this essential feedback.
You are receiving this invitation because you have patrolled new pages. For more information, please see NPP Survey
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
