- Denver Dynamite, one of the original four Arena Football League teams, - NOT associated with the Denver Dynamite of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro).

[edit]- Georgia Force - NOT related to the Nashville Kats, a former Arena Football League franchise. The Georgia Force were originally the Kats, however they were sold and moved to Georgia and renamed the Force. During this move (much like the Cleveland Browns/Baltimore Ravens) saw the franchise move, however, the logo, name, colors, and history of the Kats stayed in Nashville, Tennessee. Which, much like the Browns, allowed the Kats to return to the Arena Football League.

[edit]- Indiana Firebirds - NOT technically related to the Albany Firebirds of af2, formerly the Albany Conquest, They are related in name and logo only.
- Iowa Barnstormers of af2 - NOT related to the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League. The Dragons, the original incarnation of the Barnstormers moved from Iowa to New York in 2000 and changed their name, colors, and logo. Then in 2008 a new franchise began play in Iowa using the Barnstormers name, logo, and colors, along with their trademark pilot's goggle helmets.
