Speedy deletion of Acapulco Mexican Restaurant

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Acapulco Mexican Restaurant requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 08:18, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Seventysomething (term)

[edit]

I have nominated Seventysomething (term), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Seventysomething (term). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Little context in List of sex symbols

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on List of sex symbols, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because List of sex symbols is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting List of sex symbols, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Creation of number articles.

[edit]

Greetings Jasonfitz, I notice you have recently created a number of articles, such as 5999 and 6000. Can you advise any reason for doing so? Currently they have no content other than a nav-box, and I cannot forsee a valid reason for them to exist. Thanks. Huntster (t@c) 09:39, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I need to delete the page for OAT

[edit]

Dear Wikipedians, can you please help me find a thing to delete the article for OAT. It will be in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/OAT. It will be in deletion page soon, OK. Thank you, Wikipedians.

I think I can help you out here. I've placed a speedy deletion tag on the redirect. In the meantime, unless someone else has done it already, I'll fix up your AfD discussion. I'll also perform a non-admin closure on it, since that really should have gone to "Redirects for deletion" rather than "Articles for deletion." In short, OAT should be gone soon.
If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to ask me on my talkpage. AnturiaethwrTalk 14:10, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of 4444

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article 4444, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Nothing happened on "4444" (yet); the year hasn't (and won't for another several thousand years) occurred yet

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed Delete of 3333

[edit]

Hello User:Jasonfitz
Welcome to Wikipedia. I proposed to delete an article you created called 3333. It appeared to be an experiment in creating pages, and perhaps adding templates. If I am wrong in this assessment, please accept my apologies, and feel free to add the {{hangon}} tag to this page. I wish you well in your future editing efforts here, and please feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. I am new at "editing" here as well, but have read through quite a bit of the Wikipedia policies, and may be able to point you in the right direction if you are looking for answers. Just so you know, it is a very bad idea to post your personal information on the internet - there have been stories such as that of User:H. Even if you delete it, it will still remain in the page history. However, WP:RFO can remove it permanently. I notice that this category you created is unpopulated (empty). In other words, no Wikipedia pages belong to (are members of) it. If it remains unpopulated for four days, it may be deleted, without discussion, in accordance with Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#C1. I'm notifying you in case you wish to (re-)populate it by adding [[Category:10 establishments]] to articles/categories that belong in it.

I have also blanked the category page. This will not, in itself, cause the category to be deleted. It serves to document (in the page history) that the category was empty at the time of blanking and also to alert other watchers that the category is in jeopardy. You are welcome to revert the blanking if you wish. However, doing so will not prevent deletion if the category remains empty.

If you created the category in error, or it is no longer needed, you can speed up the deletion process by tagging it with {{db-author}}.

Please do NOT remove photos from the Black Hair gallery. Gallery photos have been established through discussion and are protected--CreativeSoul7981 (talk) 18:10, 9 December 2009 (UTC).[reply]

  • That's nonsense. They aren't protected (that goes directly against the spirit, if not the letter, of the wiki) and there was no discussion on the talk page except for your remarks. But Jason, why on earth would you restore one photo and then remove three? And you give no explanation whatsoever--that is not good. Drmies (talk) 18:20, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I never said I protected the photos on this page. The article page was protected by an administrator (I think) because people kept adding nonsense photos that didn't fit with the article. Minor/major edits

[edit]

Hey, Jasonfitz, can you stop marking every single edit that you make as minor? Marking major changes as minor constitutes poor etiquette, looks deceptive on the history pages of articles, and marking edits as minor affects how some users view items in their watchlists.

According to WP:MINOR, edits are only minor when they constitute:

  • Spelling and grammatical corrections
  • Simple formatting (e.g., capitalization, punctuation, or properly adding italics to non-English words, like folie des grandeurs)
  • Formatting that does not change the meaning of the page (e.g., moving a picture, splitting one paragraph into two — where this is not contentious)
  • Obvious factual errors (e.g., changing "Nixon resigned in 1874" to "Nixon resigned in 1974")
  • Fixing layout errors
  • Adding or correcting wikilinks, or fixing broken references already present in the article
  • Removing vandalism and graffiti

Please don't mark it as a minor edit when you add significant information to an article, as you did for And The Address. Also, don't mark it as minor when you delete someone else's work, especially as you did for CSI: Miami last month. Posts on talk pages should not be marked as minor either, such as what you did for User talk:Jasonfitz, since that could make editors less likely to notice your comment. --Apollo1758 (talk) 19:41, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on 3596 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 07:13, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate user pages

[edit]

You have three user pages which contain inappropriate material per WP:UP#NOT. The pages are: User:Jasonfitz/Sandbox/Pictures containing nudity (the images are stored on Commons so do not need to be kept in a group on a subpage); User:Jasonfitz/Sandbox/Miscellaneous items (links to YouTube videos that may be copyright violations); and User:Jasonfitz/Sandbox/List of Errotica-archives models (links to soft-porn galleries). Please blank these pages and/or mark them with {{db-u1}} for deletion. SilkTork ✔Tea time 20:55, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted User:Jasonfitz/Sandbox/List of Errotica-archives models as that consisted solely of links to a softporn website, and so was Spam. You may store such links in your browser as bookmarks. I am pleased to see you have removed the YouTube links from User:Jasonfitz/Sandbox/Miscellaneous items. There is still User:Jasonfitz/Sandbox/Pictures containing nudity to be dealt with. I suggest you bookmark the links, eg [2], in your browser in a folder you name Pictures containing nudity (or whatever you feel comfortable with), and then remove them from that page. The images would still be available to you either for your own use, or to be used in a Wikipedia article as needed, but stored in your browser they would not be infringing on Wikipedia guidelines. Love Help Me

[edit]

I note that you have undone redirects of Love Help Me several times. As it stands the article does not meet Wikipedia's inclusion criteria. There is no assertion of notability, the article is unsourced, and it largely consists of opinion - most of which is about the Shades of Deep Purple article rather than Love Help Me. I do not wish to restore the redirect only to have you revert it a month later if you disagree, so I feel it would be appropriate for us to discuss the matter, and if we cannot agree, to open up the discussion to others. Firstly though, to save us time, do you have an objection to Love Help Me being redirected to Shades of Deep Purple? SilkTork ✔Tea time 21:09, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Michael Ninn, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Two Sisters (film). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Wikipedia:Sandbox without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.. --Nasrussian (talk) 14:25, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of TheNude

[edit]

Hello Jasonfitz,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged TheNude for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Fbdave (talk) 14:42, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to TV Parental Guidelines. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. I notice that you changed "2-6" to "0-6" even though it conflicts with the source, among a number of other unexplained edits.
