I am a 41-year-old male music enthusiast from the UK who has worked professionally as a musician for over 20 years. I've also written music reviews and articles for a number of well known publications and online music sites. My user name is derived from the title of one of my all-time favourite songs, "Kohoutek" by R.E.M., which is named after Comet Kohoutek. The song isn't really about the comet itself but instead, deals with the subject of lost love and features the line "Like Kohoutek, you were gone", referring to the fact that Comet Kohoutek won't be seen in our skies again for another 75,000 years. The 1138 part of my user name comes from a reoccurring number that appears throughout the Star Wars films and is a subtle reference to my love of the Star Wars saga.
My motivation for editing Wikipedia is that I feel that music is extremely important and as such, articles relating to styles of music, albums, singles, record labels and individual artists or bands should be impeccably maintained and display the utmost accuracy. I hope to do my bit to ensure that articles are free from any factual inaccuracies, presented in an unbiased, encyclopedic fashion, and feature multiple inline citations.
For a great job on "Mr. Tambourine Man" - and for your patience with an indecisive reviewer --Philcha (talk) 19:49, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

I realise that top 10 lists are nonsense, but in true High Fidelity fashion, I just had to make one. Of course, it's impossible to sum up all of your musical loves with just ten items. After all, music isn't shoes - it's oxygen.
