Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Aniella Jaffe, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:30, 12 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jacobisq. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Aniella Jaffe".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Aniella Jaffe}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. C679 07:03, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Jacob Freud

[edit]

Hi, I'm Astrocog. Jacobisq, thanks for creating Jacob Freud!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The main contributors to this page should establish why Jacob Freud is notable outside his relationship to Sigmund Freud. Notability is not inherited by relationship, so what is notable about him?

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. AstroCog (talk) 13:52, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tone police

[edit]

I don't know if you can help with User:Penbat/tone_police ? It is an interesting subject. It may be related to projection and projection identification. It is a powerful logical fallacy that someone's complaint is invalid because of the perceived aggressive manner (whether true or not) in which they say it. Anyway it is an effective deflection technique.--Penbat (talk) 09:06, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Now User:Penbat/Tone policing. It seems to basically be a variant of an ad hominen and in turn a relevance fallacy. --Penbat (talk) 19:43, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Narcissism and triangulation

[edit]

I have seen triangulation used in the context of narcissism. Do you think you could help with a narcissism section in Triangulation (psychology) ? It seems quite similar to a flying monkey (Flying monkeys (psychology)) spreading smears (Smear campaign#Psychopaths and narcissists) or character assassinating (Character assassination#Narcissism) on behalf of a narcissist. I also notice that Triangulation (psychology) is almost entirely focused on families when it could be about any context.--Penbat (talk) 18:00, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Triangulation

[edit]

I have done what I can with Triangulation (psychology) but it could do with more work. I would appreciate it if you can spruce it up when you return. There seem to be about 5 different types of triangulation. It would be nice to list them in the intro. Triangulation as "play one person against another", "divide and rule" and in the context of narcissism sound particularly interesting. --Penbat (talk) 19:52, 25 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Flying monkeyism is probably a form of triangulation as well.--Penbat (talk) 13:44, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, Brexit and Trump are happening, and while working on the Tavistock Clinic entry yesterday, I came across Henry Ezriel in the intro..Moving onto HE's entry, I felt moved to leave a message for you on the Talk page. Regards, --Po Kadzieli (talk) 02:45, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It has potential as a new article. It is a stage after narcissistic rage and narcissistic injury. A bit has been written here - decompensation#Psychology. If the article is to include borderline personality disorder, decompensation (psychology) would be a better title.--Penbat (talk) 10:24, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can I interest you in doing an article on black box thinking, see https://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar?start=0&q=%22Black+Box+Thinking%22&hl=en&as_sdt=0,5 --Penbat (talk) 10:29, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Have drafted a framework easily enough - User:Jacobisq/Black box thinking - but is there enough material (beyond Syed's book itself) for the main substance of the article? Jacobisq (talk) 08:49, 7 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your efforts. It sseems to be a subset of systems theory as suggested by the first cite listed in https://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar?start=0&q=%22Black+Box+Thinking%22&hl=en&as_sdt=0,5 "Beyond black box epidemiology. DL Weed - American Journal of Public Health, 1998" http://ajph.aphapublications.org/doi/pdf/10.2105/AJPH.88.1.12 There are plenty of at least passing references to BBT in cites. I suspect Syed has run with the concept and is molding it into something a bit different. I am not sure if this has legs. I could just flag it as an article worth considering somewhere in Wikipedia:Requested_articles.--Penbat (talk) 09:13, 7 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Pseudo-empathy" or "false empathy" or "fake empathy"

[edit]

I am hoping to do a new Wiki article on this. I am not sure which of the three is the best title but have used "pseudo empathy" for now. If you are willing to, feel free to contribute at User:Penbat/pseudo-empathy. Sounds like it is related to cognitive empathy. --Penbat (talk) 17:34, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To me squatting position is a fascinating subject. We do elements of squatting often every day, particularly whenever lowering the body. But it has generally been airbrushed out as not worthy of study. This Wikipedia article must be the first time the subject has been comprehensively examined. There are cultural-specific angles to squatting. Unusually the article is more driven by images than references as the images perfectly illustrate varieties and contexts of squatting. If this interests you and you can add material feel free.--Penbat (talk) 13:25, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ancient books refs

[edit]

Hi, when you add references to ancient books like Cicero's, it is better to refer to the original numbering, rather than page numbers in a modern edition. The reason is that few people have this modern edition, while most have access to the editions freely available online (or they may want to see the original text in Greek or Latin).

Instead of "D R Shackleton Bailey trans., Cicero’s Letters to his Friends (Atlanta 1988) p. 552-4", it should look like this: "Cicero, ad familiares, i. 5." (First book, 5th letter; this reference is common to all editions). It is even possible to link it to Wikisource here. T8612 (talk) 14:33, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Haku Rakuten), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
