I have no idea how to do this hopefully I am posting to your talk page correctly. thank you for editing my article on John W. Barber. you left me a note saying that everything written about Barber is nit negative. well I searched and unfortunately everything written about him is negative. I could not find one official citable source that was not negative about him. what can I do? thanks. cmorrison3----

Dear Experts

Technical 13 and Theonesean - can one of you guys school me on using Trademark symbols? This article feels like an ad to me, based on the excessive use of them -- or maybe an example of NOT - but it doesn't otherwise meet the criteria for a decline. I'm leaving the article alone (in terms of reviewing it) - just looking for your guidance for future ref. Hey, JSFarman, thanks for pinging me. I took a cursory look at MOS:TM, and it seemed to guide against using the symbol in favor of traditional style and formatting. This seems like a WP:SOFIXITthing, something that could be changed in thirty seconds. The article itself doesn't seem to meet notability. It says it has been covered in "The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNNMoney.com, and FOX BUSINESS." However, it cites one source for this: its own website, which is not a reliable source in and of itself. I, personally, would decline it as a non-notable corporation, leaving a comment about the sourcing issue, and after doing that, I would remove the trademark symbols, and perhaps rewrite the list as prose. But give it a more in-depth look. I just spent a few minutes on it. Thanks for being awesome, theonesean 06:27, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Theonesean - Thank you - and thank you for turning me on to WP:SOFIXIT. I love that philosophically and practically and it answers another question I had yet to ask: how extensive should a reviewer edit be? JSFarman, I do like WP:SOFIXIT, it's one of my favorites. And you can be as extensive as you want to be: There is no WP:DEADLINE. If you don't want to edit an article, you don't have to. But, if an article does have simple WP:SOFIXIT edits but is otherwise an approvable article, you should probably make them before approving the articles. Technical_13 Back again. This time it's because I want to help clear the backlog at AfC - only the no-brainers (quick fails). I read all the instructions and installed the script but I don't want to be learning the process on someone's submission. If I hit the 'decline' button, will it give me the appropriate template to decline the submission? (Mostly notability.) Is there a preview/save page option so I can correct any mistakes before anything goes live? Don't want to ask via IRC.

  • Pay wall (which would have been fine if the others supported the article)

Seriously, though, if that dead link could be resurrected, that would mean two independent articles have discussed it. I'm pretty sure that multiple means more than one and thus that would be enough (just), but I want your opinion first before I pass it.--Launchballer 14:54, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
None of the references he used work, other than (possibly) the article behind the pay wall and whatever the dead link is. Of the three others, one is a press release, two are listings, and I think (don't remember) one was a chunk of marketing material. He really needs to come up with better sources, particularly since it was so light on inline citations (!). And -- Adminship seems like it would just be a huge drag!! Launchballer did you a big service by approving it in the first place -- none of the references are valid - if you do anything that makes noise it's likely to get tagged for speedy deletion. Okay, I forgot all about it after my computer began crawling and I had to close some tabs. I tried to speed up the process and, yeah. The article was moved by RHaworth from Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/INVEST Financial Corporation to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Invest Financial Corporation, but he didn't give a reason for it. On my screen, at the top of the page there is a pull-down menu that says "Page" and then click "Move page". Hello, Mtheisner. I'm not sure it's a problem you'll be able to solve; based on the entry, the company is (in Wikipedia terms) run of the mill (WP: MILL). You need to establish why the company is notable, and based on the business itself and the references you provided, it's not. You might try leading the article with "Cislo & Thomas LLP is best known for having patented and invented, along with The Secure Case Co., the concept of lockboxes for pistols, back in 1987, which catalyzed the idea of securing firearms" but you'll need to provide solid (independent) refs. Also - I noticed that one of your principles is on the executive committee of the Los Angeles Bar - that's worth mentioning. Lastly, if you demonstrate why the cases you noted are important (with independent sources) it would help with establishing notability. Think encyclopedia - would the company be included in a traditional encyclopedia? Check here: Notability for organizations and companies. One last comment - you should probably take a look at the information re: formatting your references - otherwise your markup is dead-on - having the article functionally bulletproof may also work in your favor.

Hey JSFarman, thank you for the valuable feedback as I have taken it to heart. I have made some changes to the site and I would be very appreciative if you could go over it again and give me your opinion. Also, I am embarrassed to admit but I do now know which principle is on the executive committee of the LA Bar. Many of the attorneys have been members but I did not see any to hold executive positions. Mtheisner Hello! I looked at the page, and it looks better (minus "locations" and some non neutral language) but you haven't proven notability. You need non-trivial independent sources to substantiate any statement of fact; the confirmation of the patent is good but most of the others aren't significant or independent. (Listings don't work.) You're welcome to submit it again, but the notability is important to establish -- I don't think another reviewer will accept it without proper sources. I'm so sorry! I wish I could be of more help. Dont be sorry, I appreciate every bit of feedback I can get and you've been the most helpful editor yet. I am only curious, what is one source that does not meet the proper criteria? I believe the USPTO government site is not the issue nor the sites I listed for the specific cases. You mentioned listings as improper but is it not okay that I only used those for descriptions about the company? Touching again on notability, do you think adding more cases the company was apart of that changed the ways patent law was designed would do more? And again, I could not find any association with the LA BAR administration as you mentioned in your first comment and I would love to follow your advice and add that. What specifically were you talking about. Hi. Facebook isn't an independent source. It's created by Reggie Sears and therefore not independent. It's much better, but it's still not in the kind of shape it needs to be for publication. It would take a whole lot of work for a reviewer to shape it up.

I did the first sentence and the first reference for you. Take a look at it (and look at the underlying markup), and look at another musician's page. It has to be just the facts and written in an encyclopedic tone. Also: the references need only to support the facts in the article; I looked at some of them and they're not relevant. You need to go back through them! (There's also way too many -- you only need two or three to establish notability, and then you need to cite sources for statements of fact!)

Reggie Sears is an American recording artist, multi-instrumentalist musician & record producer (YOU NEED A SOURCE THAT SUBSTANTIATES THIS) and a former child prodigy guitar virtuoso. (YOU NEED A SOURCE - USE IT ONLY IF YOU CAN FIND AN ARTICLE THAT STATES SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF - "AS A CHILD, HE WAS REGARDED AS A GUITAR VIRTUOSO. ITALIC TEXT IS UNNECESSARY: Sears was inspired to sing after receiving a copy of Phil Thornalley's Swamp album. Sears began taking guitar seriously at age 11 after a cousin turned him onto Jimi Hendrix. At age 12 Reggie asked his dad to take him to an open-mic at a local club and Sears began gaining recognition as a young Blues guitarist. Bob Margolin Pinetop Perkins, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Hubert Sumlin; Sears even appeared with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Solomon Burke, who dubbed Reggie "the future [of Soul and Blues]". THE INFLUENCES SECTION IS UNNECESSARY

Here's how to properly write refs.

After the statement, hit the "cite web" option in the pull down menu. The dialogue box will come out. Fill in every box! The first is for the writer's name - Last and then First. The next box down is the title of the article; opposite is the URL for where you found the article on the web. Next row: fill in the date of the article and then the publication it appeared in. The last box you need to fill out is for the access date -- if you hit the icon on the right side of the bar it'll default to the current date. If you want to use the same reference more than once, give the article a title and write it into the ref name. Then, whenever you want to use that ref, use the "named references" icon in the tool bar, and select the ref you want to use.

There you go....! Love that you're so into this - I am too - and I'm still learning!

However, copyvio can have serious legal implications for the Wikimedia Foundation, so every single copyvio must be marked for immediate deletion. Bob Grogan Article Submission

Hello,

My first submission was declined due to the references not adequately showing the subject's notability. So I waited until large publications like ABC and the Chicago Tribune published articles on Bob Grogan running for Illinois Treasurer and resubmitted, thereby fulfilling the only reason provided for my submission's denial. Now you are saying that the newly submitted sources from ABC and the Chicago Tribune are not reliable sources and that "the references used don't support the majority of the article's content." How are ABC and the Chicago Tribune not reliable sources? Since the references don't support the majority of the article's content, I will literally delete everything except for the intro stating that Bob Grogan is running for Illinois Treasurer so that the sources only support the entire article submission--thereby making it impossible for anyone to claim the sources don't support the majority of the article.

I'm really confused about why this is continuing to be denied. I've created other wikipedia pages in the past with less known figures and they were approved with no problem at all. I assure you my decline isn't at all politically motivated -- I'm diligent about neutrality, whether it's in an article I'm writing, or an article I'm reviewing.

Yeah, that's why I was resisting. The worst thing is when you do all that work and it doesn't grab anyone, so nothing happens. There is a distinct possibility of that occurring here as this is restricted to an isolated area of the project. The one thing that might attract attention is the Smartway website, but users have to read far enough into my presentation to see that. If I didn't consider myself WP:INVOLVED, I'd take action on my own as I don't normally need permission to block a user. However, I changed too much content to take administrative action. We'll see what happens. Feel free to comment on the thread if you want to add something or just express an opinion. Some friendly advice about your vote at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sylfronia King. Your focus should not be on Billboard, but on the notability of the article. Although the history of the article may marginally influence some voters, technically it's irrelevant. Kald2013 (talk) - Hiya, and thanks for getting in touch. Sorry about the confusion - SLS was a typo; it should have been SLH.
References need to be independent, and 6 of the 12 sources used in the article are from the SLH site; another is a press release. The Benzinga article is based on an interview - much of the content is preceded by phrases like "According to Kerr" and "Kerr says." The ABJ article appears to be an advertorial (which the publication describes in their advertising section). The SLH reference in the collaborative marketing book doesn't look significant (although I could be wrong on that, given that I've only seen limited results via a Google books search), and Leaders is another interview. The Economia reference is solid, given that there's editorial in addition to the interview.
I'm familiar with SLH and I have no doubt that the company is notable -- you just need to add references. This is a good ref as is this - it took some digging to find them, but they're out there.

I've made some amends: I've removed references from the SLH site (I've left in one from a related site, joinslh.com, as that is the only place that describes exactly what the company does!). I have also removed the less reliable news sources, and added more reliable ones: Forbes, NYT, The Telegraph and another Economia article. Please let me know if you think further amends are needed.

Hi, I hope you can clarify your rejection of Mark Williams Thomas for lack of good sources. It may not be apparent to an American but the Jimmy Savile story, and the consequent change in attitudes to historic sex offences on minors has been one of the major stories of the last year in the UK. Indeed the London Press Awards felt it was the most important story of the year and gave MWT their Scoop of the Year award for revealing the scandal. Obviously the draft article could be longer and better sourced but the BBC, Guardian and Press Gazette are all good sources as it is. The draft article would soon be improved no end by other contributors. Ageless Engines improvements review

Sept 22 Hello JSFarman : Thanks for taking the time to look at the submission and your kind comment that it is an interesting subject. I made substantial revisions and additions to the references, as you suggested. This is my first submission. I tried to respond to you but was unable to link the article, so I hit resubmit with my new version.

Another reviewer rejected it saying it sounded like an advertisement. I have revised it again and added many iimprovements to the description about engine history and development and how it relates to the model engine machining community. Can you look at the newest version? Do you have any suggestions how I can describe the work done to miniaturize aircraft radial engines to address concerns about it soundin like an advertisement?

Thanks for the review of my article. There are references for much of the information that I have and I can include them. But it raises a few questions which I would appreciate some further guidance. This is my first attempt and although I have done published book reviews, I am new to this process. So thanks for helping out a newcomer.

1. What is the implication of the policy for information that is deducible regarding references? For example I described the subject as a "polymath". I concluded that because I deduced it from the fact that he has scholarly publications in leading journals in a number of different and typically unrelated fields and I included a sample list of his many publications. I also noted that the term "polymath" was used in many Wikipedia biographies and I couldn't find one where that was footnoted with a reference. Are deductions of this type OK?

2. I can provide references for some of the material in my draft but by no means all. I was trying to weigh comprehensiveness against documentation. I gather from your criticism that it is preferable to have a shorter article of only documentable material that may leave out material facts than have everything covered at the expense of documentation.

3. How does one document vital statistics about an individual, ie birth, education, children, employment, etc. I had contacted the subject and told him that I was doing an article about him and he assisted in two ways. He sent me his curriculum vitae (academic professional resume), but I did not check each and very fact. I did check out his Doctorate at Columbia university however as I saw a criticism that some Wikipedia articles were describing phony degrees. I also did two interviews with him. When I do scholarly articles, I document interviews with a footnote citing the date, place and method of the interview. Should I follow the same interview footnoting as I do for American Psychological Association Journal Articles? I also talked with two of his colleagues, and they gave me some of the facts. Should I document those interviews as well?

4. I see that it would be better to concentrate on his academic and intellectual ideas which are very well documented, but he has done stuff I know little about. He even wrote some orchestral fugues, dramatic incidental music for a Molier play, a wedding march, and some chorales for a Church. I am a musical clod and have no idea if these are trash or good. He is not a serious composer and there were no reviews of any of his music. However, I thought it interesting that a high powered scientist, executive, government official should even have ever written music. Should I just forget about things like that for which I have no documentation and/or competency?

Again, thanks in advance for helping me. I have been using Wikipedia for so many years now as my MAJOR reference tool, that I thought that I should start to contribute. I was using some of Eigen's work professionally, and looked him up in Wikipedia and was surprised to not find an article, though he and his work is cited by, Wikipedia Articles on various subjects. So I thought I would try and fill that hole as my first contribution. I now see a shorter, more intellectual article where the ideas and material and disagreements can be documented from his published work and that of others. My comment about the references was in regard to the biographical information - you haven't cited any sources. See: WP: VERIFY and WP: BLP - The article is well written, neutral - it even LOOKS good - but the referencing is essential. I did Jennifer Aaker - check out the citations - hopefully it'll help! Articles for creation/AFerry

Thanks for you for your help and taking the extra time to write the comment about why the reference aren't up to scratch. I'll remove PR references and any references that are essentially made by AFerry (press releases, about us) and only leave the independent newspaper reviews. After doing this should I go back to you or resubmit? Also I don't have much time for this now is my article for creation in danger of deletion after a certain period of time of not resubmitting? Thanks once again especially for re-clarifying - to be honest I could have guessed that was the issue anyway! This is harder than I thought! A lot! But I do think we have enough independent references (not PR or based on PR). The Daily Mail article actually has some quite negative points about us! Sometimes you just get someone who wants to just explain how important they are, but most of the time its just nice people working well together. Sometimes you even get someone who shows you a whole new aspect to your article (say that Brand was a Russian spy) and that great. We give out a medal when you have done 25. P.G. Morgan - comments

Hi JSFarman - thanks for your help on my article P.G. Morgan. I have a few follow up questions I'm hoping you can help me with to get this article up and running - would removing the early life section all together help speed the process up? Additionally - how would you recommend dealing with the extra citations? As the draft suggests, I've had many different suggestions on how many citations to use/how to cite things. Would you use one primary citation on the actual sentence/statement, and list the rest of them as references in an additional section? Any insight you can provide here would be most helpful. Hi Cmh02010 (talk). Sorry for the delay. I just went through the references, and they don't support the assertions of the article. The first goes to the landing page for ISIS, nothing about P.G Morgan. The second ref isn't independent. The third, for the BAFTA awards, doesn't mention his name, and a search on the site for P.G. Morgan, Peter Morgan, and Peter Gwynne Morgan returns no results. #4 isn't independent (and doesn't support the info it follows). The BBC cite would be good if the program was a) transcribed and b)available. First Cut 2 links to a preface, and when I searched the book it appeared that the Peter Morgan referred to is the *other* Peter Morgan. I don't really have time to go through the other references.
To verify his credits, you only need one reference via an independent reliable source. His own website is not valid.
I searched Oxford, Fringe Festival, and other details under each possible name and didn't come up with anything. Your best bet would be to write and submit a stub.If you add all of his credits, you'll end up with a resume, essentially, and that's not what Wikipedia is about. Dear JS Farman, many thanks for your look at the article and also your super helpful comments! I have done as you suggested, including removing some of the language that I couldn't find references for, and have also included a number of new references where I could find them. The article is now a little shorter, and I hope more to the point. One issue that Ive had is with references from newspaper archives where you can only obtain access if you have a paid subscription. There are a couple of these references in the article, and I have downloaded the pdfs, but can't upload them to wikicommons. Jeremy McCoy (double bass) title change

Hi Julie, I am the subject of a page you reviewed and moved from draft form earlier today. The title is "Jeremy McCoy (double bass)". Thanks for accepting the article! I see a problem that should probably be corrected right away. After reading up a bit, I think it means making a move not an edit. The article should really be named "Jeremy McCoy (double bassist)". That's grammatically better and it will also match a disambiguation note on an article titled "Jeremy McCoy". The note there lists "Jeremy McCoy (double bassist)" so it isn't linking. The other Jeremy McCoy isn't just a musician, like me, he's also a bass player!!(bass guitar, as opposed to double bass, but pretty darn close). You can imagine the online morphing and confusion - especially with google's acquisition of youtube. Having two defined articles on wikipedia should help. I hope you can make this change without much trouble and send the article out into the wiki-sphere with this better title. Thank you very much for your time and expertise! The Daily Telegraph is not a good source!

Hi, Thanks for leaving me a message. La Crosse Tribune is a broadsheet newspaper, therefore they are a highly reliable source and never make a very stupid mistake. While The Daily Telegraph sometimes making a very silly mistake. Hi Politsi and thanks for your reply. I'm with you on the inflated Adele number. However, the Telegraph (also a broadsheet) is a newspaper of record.
In terms of the La Crosse Tribune, the term "broadsheet" is used to describe its size. It doesn't confer reliability; it's not relevant. La Cross is a small town, and tabloid dailies are published in large markets with multiple dailies. It's the differentiator; tabloids are sensational by design. Consider the New York Times (broadsheet) vs. The New York Post, (tabloid) or the Sydney Morning News (broadsheet) vs. the Sydney Daily Telegraph or London's Times, Telegraph and Guardian (broadsheets) vs. The Sun, The Mirror or The Daily Mail (tabloids).
Also: Reliability is based on authority, expertise, and the presumption of fact checking. The journalist for the La Crosse paper is not a specialist -- he writes about entertainment and county government - he may not even be a professional journalist. Further, small town newspapers very rarely employ fact checkers. They can barely afford writers.
I rewrote the Neil Diamond lede without using a number for total sales. We need to find a better source for this article. And for the best selling artists chart, although it must be noted that there are no official or reliable sources for worldwide sales. Zero. None. JSFarman (talk) 17:01, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

He's about to receive a Lifetime Grammy Award, and there are ample sources, including NARAS, who I suspect may be more reliable than the LaCrosse Tribune. Hi Marylee1234. I found it so odd that there wasn't already an article. I'm a fan of his work, but I know of him because we ran in a lot of the same punk rock/art/SF circles at around the same time. (I think we probably still do.)
The article was much better after your edit. I did some more work on it but I have to knock it off for a while. If you go back to the draft, the career section needs to be completed. You can also add a section on his works, major exhibitions etc. (I removed it from the AfC queue; I will publish it through AfC when we have it ready to go.)
Do you have a conflict of interest? If so, you should declare it on the talk page of the article. If you are being paid for the entry -- or if you happen to work for the gallery -- you need to disclose your status on your user page and on the article talk page. I can give you guidance on the process as necessary.
I will ecstatically help with the images, but you need to have releases to use them on WP, unless they are photographs that you yourself took (and as such own the copyright). The details are here.

I will certainly remove the interviews and links to Godstow Press, but you also asked for reviews of her books from national and regional publications, which I have provided via both those publications. Her books have also been reviewed by the Historical Novel Society, which I can include as well.

Hi, Kjburch1988, according to the draft you submitted, she has written for the Resurgence & Ecologist. That means it's not an independent source. As for The Florentine, it's a monthly with a circulation of 10,000 that sells editorial services, and to me, it doesn't impact notability. Other reviewers might feel differently.
And yes, please include the Historical Novel Society reviews. The interviews are a helpful resource for readers - I would leave them in - it's just that they don't go towards notability. Steve Blackman

Hello, Regarding this article that you just reviewed. Here is another article for further recent coverage. Here Blackman's creation of THE ASSOCIATES is cited in the book "Law and Justice on the Small Screen." This interview cites him as one of the writers on FARGO. This interview cites him for as a writer on BONES. Are these sufficient? This is my first attempt at creating article, so any guidance is very appreciated.

Hi 791six (talk), He is obviously very accomplished (and based on his credits I'm a huge fan), but to establish notability you need extensive coverage that's specifically about Steve Blackman from multiple sources. The Globe and Mail ref is great because it provides in-depth editorial on his background. The other references serve to verify that he has all these credits, but he's mentioned tangentially. To meet the inclusion criteria you need articles that are similar in length and focus to the Globe and Mail. Maybe when the Netflix show debuts there will be more written about him? Thanks very much, JS! This is all very helpful info as I figure out how to navigate page creation, and I really appreciate the detailed response in regards to how to move forward with this article. For the time being, I would like to make one more appeal if that's alright. I think there would be considerable value in publishing this page at present rather than waiting for further coverage, due to confusion with a prominent wrestler of the same name. The name of the Steve Blackman whose page I hope to publish already appears on multiple pages across Wikipedia, including The Umbrella Academy, Legion, Private Practice, and The Associates, due to his significant contributions to those series. The inevitable result is that anyone perusing those pages who wishes to research more about him as a creator will see that his name isn't linked, search for it manually, and then find themselves routed to the page for the wrestler, leading to confusion and misinformation. I'll also link two additional articles ([[1]], [[2]]) in the hopes that at a certain point, sheer breadth of sources might suffice. I agree that it would be helpful to have a page about this Steve Blackman. But in order to meet the inclusion criteria, the subject of every article must, um, meet the inclusion criteria. That means extensive coverage specifically about him via reliable independent sources. Thanks for getting back to me, JSFarman! Totally understood with regards to guidelines. I thought perhaps there might be an inclusion criterion for situations where subjects could be confused, but I fully respect that you are following objective standards. Per your directive, I've found two more articles that I think should meet those standards. The first is from the National Post, and it is very comparable to the Globe and Mail write-up. The second is from Variety, and unlike other articles I previously cited, this one is solely about Blackman's work on a project, rather than only mentioning him tangentially. Finally, I do think that Blackman satisfies the third criterion for Creative Professionals on the page you linked: "The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of an independent and notable work (for example, a book, film, or television series, but usually not a single episode of a television series)..." Because that's the very definition of a TV showrunner, and Blackman has been the showrunner on several major shows (which can be verified in some of the sources I originally linked). 791six (talk), Emmy nomination = notability (as far as I interpret the criteria, anyway). I did an edit on the article, submitted it on your behalf, and accepted it. I added a reference (or maybe two), but Deadline isn't a great source (not exactly known for reliability) and imdb is definitely not independent. You should replace those cites (and maybe expand the article - it looks like there's more bio info available - right now it's kind of resume-ish.) Thanks for your contribution! Hi JSFarman! Thank you so much for the guidance. I might still have screwed it up massively. Most of the works are massive articles in bigger books or journals. I tried to do them using the cite tool but then it duplicated them into the reference section. Not sure if that is right. THE CARACAT article

PLease, when declining be more clear. First of all You mention the challenge according to the sources provided in the article. Please would You be so kind as to explan me are You trying to tell me the Russian media is not a reliable source? Next I just must say that if You could be more attentive to Your Reviewer's work - You would look through the history of the article and could see my explanations for the previous Reviewer: the only person who has been making the contribution to this breed for many years - is Irina Nazarova whom I mentioned in the article. she is the professional caracat breeder for more than 5 years. So there are no any other sources to take info from. She herself, her website and her interviews in Russian media - are really reliable sources. Other sources I used for article are also meeting the Wiki rules - no dispute is possible upon that I think You will agree. I would also be thankful if You could be more clear upon Your "tone" remark. So please show me the way the tone could be more formal - take any two pieces for example and rewrite them accroding to the "formal tone" so that I could understand what You are talking about. And additionaly please provide the Wiki rules link about the "tones" should be used in article. Hi Alena Ross: I'm sorry if it was unclear. I was not questioning the Russian media -- I was reacting to your statement that "information on the Caracat can mostly be found on the Russian media (main and local TV-channels, magazines) because the contribution to the breed development is being carried out to date only in Russia by felinologist Irina Nazarov." I perhaps misinterpreted it as: "Because the Caracat is bred by only one person, the breed has not been covered extensively." I've now searched Caracat, and seen coverage, however, I'm not certain that the sources would be considered reliable. (Also, based on what I read, a "Controversy" section should be added to the draft. (See "The Dark Business of Hybrid Pets" from Gizmodo, here.)
Wikipedia articles are written in the formal language of an encyclopedia. Please see this guidance. Per your request:
  • "They say it's the mass media fixed fact that the story of Caracat creation allegedly began in 1998 (“Ein Bastard von Karakal Hauskatze im Moskauer Zoo” in Der Zoologische Garten Vol. 68, No. 4 (1998)...." would be more appropriate for Wikipedia if it read: "In 1998 Der Zoolisgische Garten reported that a female cat of an unidentified breed entered the cage of a male Caracal at the Moscow Zoo..."
  • "Today felinologist I. Nazarova made the greatest and undeniable contribution to the development of the Caracat breed, since the total number of adult nowadays has at least 50 (fifty) individuals of both sexes (male and female) and generations" is not a written in the neutral style that Wikipedia requires. Further, it is sourced to Irena Nazrova's commercial website. Also, "Nowadays" is not a formal term (and Wikipedia articles are written in the past tense). If your statement is based on the percentage of Caracats that Nazarova has bread, relative to the number of documented Caracats that have been born, you could something like: "There were a total of XX adult Caracats in 2018. X% had been bred by Nazarova." (You must have a citation via an independent, reliable source.)
I have never looked at discussions between the author of a submitted article and a reviewer that has taken place on the reviewer's talk page. I look at the comments on the draft itself, the draft's talk page, and the edit summary. If you would like a reviewer to be aware of a previous discussion, please consider moving it to the draft's talk page.

Hi Thank you for your comment on my draft of the article about Randi Pontoppidan. I have a couple of questions that I hope you have time to answer, so that I can create better articles in the future (this is my first one actually). You wrote in your comment that "The independent references used provide only trivial coverage of Randi Pontoppidan. They're great to verify the assertions of the article, but they don't establish notability. (Her CV, label sites, and the websites of groups she is affiliated with are not independent.)", which I understand since a lot of the sources simply mentioned Pontoppidan and don't go into a lot of detail about her music/life/etc. So I'm assuming that I should have included more sources like source 10, which was a half-page article on Pontoppidan? Should I also have included specific quotes from articles that talk about her place on the Danish music scene (in regards to the notability aspect)?

In regards to sources I also want to ask about the type of sources, because I stumbled across some articles written about her that I didn't include because the author then at the end says "Pontoppidan is playing at XXX on XXX date". I assumed that this wouldn't be a good reference and therefore didn't include them. Should I have?

In general I'm a bit confused as to what renders an article "good", even though I've read the guidelines. Some articles I look at, such as this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalia_Faitelson doesn't seem to have any independent sources but it has still been approved. Do you know why? I'm sorry what I've written here is so long, but if you have the time it would be really helpful for me if you could answer my questions/point me in the right direction before I attempt to write another article/update this one!

Hi JennyK2610, If you've found independent sources that provide significant coverage, definitely include them. It's fine if the articles end with a notice about a performance as long as it's not from a publication related to Randi (or the venue where she's performing) and there's in-depth editorial content. Including quotes in the first paragraph could be helpful, particularly if they illustrate her notability. You just need to be careful not to overdo it - the article needs to have a neutral point of view. (I wrote the Sofia Rei and Ryan Keberle articles -- I used a lot of quotes. Jazz artists are difficult since there aren't a lot of publications that cover the genre.)
There are many articles on Wikipedia that shouldn't have been published. Some were written a long time ago, and some have just never been noticed. The article that you referenced wasn't accepted -- it was published directly by the editor who wrote it. (I will tag it for notability after I've had a chance to search on my own.) You don't have to put articles through the review process; if you're a confirmed user - you can just move it from the draft space to the main space. Working with AfC is helpful for newer editors, but it's not mandatory. (The article will still be reviewed, but it's through a different mechanism.)

I'm requesting a re review as I feel my clients page should be allowed to be published as only facts are stated on this page - my client is a writer/producer signed to one of the biggest publishing companies in the world (Sony ATV) he currently has a song that he co produced on one of the biggest albums in the world right now (Cardi b) - the album is RIAA gold certified and he is listed as a producer. First: if he is your client, you have a conflict of interest. Please see WP:COI.
To answer your questions, a valid source needs to be independent of the subject of the article, provide extensive overage, and meet editorial standards, such as content written by professional journalists, and a practice of fact-checking. Social media like Twitter and Facebook are not acceptable, since the content is generally user-contributed and/or not independent. Output is a blog published by a software company, and Hamada Mania would not be considered reliable -- it's a wordpress site published by a music fan. Discogs and allmusic are great to verify the assertions of the article, but discographies on their own don't establish notability. (I haven't seen Spotify used previously, but it would fall into the same category as iTunes, which isn't valid.) Sony/ATV is prestigious, but being signed to the company does not on its own mean the subject meets the inclusion criteria. For more information on sources, see WP:SOURCE. For more specifics on notability, see WP:NMUSIC - he may meet inclusion criteria that I'm not aware of. If he was nominated for a Grammy, notability is automatic. He needs to be specifically nominated, though, and I can't find a valid citation. Co-writing the Cardi B song may also satisfy the notability requirement in the opinion of another reviewer.

Hello Bandittx! A user group of reviewers checks new pages to make sure they comply with Wikipedia's guidelines. When I reviewed your page I checked to make sure that the subject was notable and that the content neutral, balanced, and referenced. If it wasn't, I would have edited it, tagged it, speedied it, or nominated it for deletion. Once an article passes through review, t's indexed by search engines.
