Syreś Boläeń
[edit]Hello IkuTurisas. I saw you created an interesting article on Pan-Finnicism, I had added a link to this topic (as "Pan-Finno-Ugrism") at the pan-nationalisms template long ago. I was wondering if you'd be interested in creating an article for Syreś Boläeń, he is an Erzya fighter and independentist during the Russo-Ukrainian War and I think he's a pretty interesting figure who definitively deserves a page. Finns from what I've seen are generally interested in their Uralic kins so I was thinking you might be interested. Apologies if this was not the case, you can ignore this comment if so. Keep the good work! Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 23:14, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion! I would love to write about him. IkuTurisas (talk) 09:08, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you a lot for creating the page. I will add some info to it from time to time. There's a lot to write about Eryzas from what I see. Hopefully with time they will get the coverage they deserve. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 12:30, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
Ilmari Rostila moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Ilmari Rostila. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:16, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I've moved this into the draft space (to avoid deletion), as there is no indication that the subject is notable by WP:GNG or any of the special guidelines. Please add secondary sources that are independent and reliable, and provide significant coverage of this person. Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:18, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
KOM-teatteri moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to KOM-teatteri. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

- Again, no evidence of notability – two cites of the theatre's own website is obviously nowhere near enough to satisfy WP:GNG. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:36, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, I have fixed up some issues with the article. I'd be thankful for if you could re-review Draft:KOM-teatteri? Kiitos. IkuTurisas (talk) 15:56, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to Eastern Europe or the Balkans, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Suvi vs šuvi
[edit]The reference from Karjalan Sivistysseura is written in the Northern/White dialect of Karelian, not the Southern dialect. You can see from this dictionary, that Southern Karelians pronounce the word "Suvi" without the sound š: Here (Suojärvi representing the Southern Dialect). Put the word "Suvi" in the search. --ValtteriLahti12 (talk) 05:28, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
