Your GA nomination of Admiral Ackbar
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Admiral Ackbar you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Ssven2 -- Ssven2 (talk) 09:40, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
WikiProject X Newsletter • Issue 14
Updates: I've been focusing largely on the development side of things, so we are a lot closer now to being ready to actually start discussing deploying it and testing it out here.
There's just a few things left that need to be resolved:
- A bunch of language support issues in particular, plus some other release blockers, such as the fact that currently there's no good way to find any hubs people do create.
- We also probably need some proper documentation and examples up to even reference if we want a meaningful discussion. We have the extension documentation and some test projects, but we probably need a bit more. Also I need to be able to even find the test projects! How can I possibly write reports about this stuff if I can't find any of it?!
Some other stuff that's happened in the meantime:
- Midpoint report is out for this round of the project, if you want to read in too much detail about all the problems I've been running into.
- WikiProject Molecular Biology have successfully set up using the old module system that CollaborationKit is intended to replace (eventually), and it even seems to work, so go them. Based on the issues they ran into, it looks like the members signup thing on that system has some of the same problems as we've been unable to resolve in CK, though, which is... interesting. (Need to change the content model to the right thing for the formwizard config to take. Ugh, content models.)
Until next time,

2019 NHL Entry Draft Pick Articles
Hi, just a heads up that most of the players in the draft won't pass WP:NHOCKEY right now, so there is no need to create articles, and ones that fail notability will ultimately be deleted until they reach the threshold. Just want to save you some effort. Kaiser matias (talk) 17:37, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
Adi Meyerson
I must respectfully request that you refrain from creating any more one- or two-sentence articles, as you did in October 2018 with Adi Meyerson, which is an orphan on the jazz Cleanup Listing. Article is probably the wrong word here. Snippet? Afterthought? Exhalation? It's not against the rules, but I can think of many reasons not to do it. If suitable sources can't be found, articles like this are often proposed for deletion.
Vmavanti (talk) 00:06, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
The article Shane Pinto has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Subject fails WP:NHOCKEY, WP:GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Triggerbit (talk) 05:15, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
Hi
Hello there, Hunter Kahn. I'm Ssven2. Its very nice to meet you. Hope your day's going well.

Horror Films of the 1970s
Hey Hunter. Was wondering if you have a copy of Horror Films of the 1970s by John Kenneth Muir. I remember it being used for Laserblast and was hoping to use it for other MST3K 70s horror films like Giant Spider Invasion and Zaat. GamerPro64 03:45, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- Actually did try that before asking you. Was hoping to actually read his review of the film. On the plus side, I did read the previews for his review of Soultaker (film), which I am planning on taking it to FAC soon. GamerPro64 03:52, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
Daylight time
Hi, I reverted your edit to the hatnote of Daylight saving time, because the song you mentioned does not seem to fulfil the WP:HATNOTERULES requirements. However, I subsequently realised that there is a redirect from Daylight time to the DST article, and there is a reasonable possibility that people searching for that term could be looking for the song. So, perhaps you should consider converting that redirect into a disambiguation page instead. Rosbif73 (talk) 15:10, 3 July 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Clussexx Three D Grinchy Glee, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Purina (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

I did post at Wikipedia:Good article help to see if maybe I did something which made the bot not place the GA icon on the article. Hello!
Hi! Sorry to bother you. I'm currently nominating an article of mine for GA status; after some observations, I've found that you're a member of the Good Article WikiProject, and an frequent editor on Wikipedia per August. If you have time, could you review the article if nobody has done it yet? (I'm messaging several other users in this format, just in case)
If you decline due to various reasons, could you recommend another potential user to review it? Thank you in advance. Dhio-270599 09:09, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for reaching out. The subject of that article isn't exactly my area of expertise, so I suspect you might be better served if someone else does the review. Offhand I don't know of anyone in that area, but maybe bring it to the talk page of Wikipedia:WikiProject Horticulture and Gardening? Or if a few days pass and nobody has taken it on, I may consider trying it myself and we'll see where it goes. lol Best of luck either way! — Hunter Kahn 16:33, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for the advice and the potential future review! I'll message some of the WikiProject members to see if they might help. :D Dhio-270599 08:27, 27 August 2019 (UTC)

War of the Worlds (2005)
Greetings. I'm the one who translate War of the Worlds article into italian and I was able to designete it as good article. I have a question sir: it is about the Remake of Byron Haskin film? --BincoBì (talk) 22:26, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
- I don't believe it's considered a remake of the Haskin film, but rather a separate adaptation from the same original novel. Does that answer your question? — Hunter Kahn 02:33, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
I found these sources: 1, 2, 3, 4 and I want to be certain, because i should change incipit if it doesn't (sorry for my bad english). --BincoBì (talk) 17:10, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
- Unless I"m missing something, some of those sources refer to the Haskin film and compare the new movie to that one, but they don't say it's a remake of it. Again I don't believe it's a remake, but rather another movie based on the same original source. — Hunter Kahn 18:42, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
I really don’t know what to do... who tells me it’s a remake and who says the contrary. I trust you but I would like to listen to other opinions, do you know other people who could know something about? —BincoBì (talk) 10:29, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

AHL team season pages
I noticed you recently created 2019–20 Lehigh Valley Phantoms season and it looks fine, if not a bit WP:ROUTINE in coverage. While there are no rules against such a page as long as it meets WP:GNG, historically, these pages have been failed to be kept up to date. So per MOS:DATED, I had to go through and redirect all unfinished pages to the relevant league seasons. This is mostly an annoyance, but as I am one of the few who keeps minor league seasons pages up to date to begin with, I thought I would let you know beforehand. Please keep the page at least one to two weeks up to date during the season, as I doubt anyone else will help you. (Entirely based on my past observations on the subjects, but I would like to be proven wrong.) Thank you, Yosemiter (talk) 18:50, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- Understood and agreed, Yosemiter. I've previously worked an AHL season page to GA status and, in a perfect world, I think each team should have a detailed and comprehensive season page as well. But... I know it's not a perfect world. LOL I don't plan to create one for each team because I fear I will spread myself too thin and then none of them would be updated, I don't think that outcome would serve anyone. (I've tried to do that in the past, and it didn't work out.) So I plan to stay on top of this Phantoms page, and just as an FYI, I also plan to eventually make one for the Hartford Wolf Pack and keep that one updated as well. I don't have any immediate plans for any others at the moment, but I can promise you if I do make them (like maybe in the future, when the season is finished) I'll work on them in my sandbox and won't publish them until they are up-to-date. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 19:27, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- No problem, create away (and I totally understand the "spread too thin", I have a hard enough time keeping league season pages up-to-date). I just remember going through and cleaning them out back in 2016. Yosemiter (talk) 19:35, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, that was 100% my fault. Lol Sorry about that. I created all those pages with the genuine hope of keeping them all up to date throughout the year and getting them all to GA status eventually! But... then I had kids. LOL Even pre-kids though, it was probably too ambitious and unrealistic an undertaking. I'd still love to go back and retroactively create some season articles some day, but if I ever do I'll do them in my sandbox individually and not post them until they are complete, as opposed to the scattershot method... — Hunter Kahn 20:11, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

Hello! Wishing you a Happy Halloween on the behalf of WikiProject Holidays and WikiProject Horror.
Trick or Treat! Happy Halloween Hunter Kahn! I hope you have a great day and remember to be safe if you go trick-or-treating tonight with friends, family or loved ones. Happy Halloween!

Plumb
Nice work on expanding this article – I just wanted to point out that per Wikipedia guidelines, the album ratings box should only contain a maximum of ten ratings. I would probably choose from a mixture of established UK music magazines (NME, Q, Mojo, Uncut), UK newspapers with dedicated music reviewers (Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Times), and respected online music websites (AllMusic, The A.V. Club, Clash, Paste, Pitchfork)... don't just choose the ten highest ratings, it should be a balanced mixture that reflects the overall score. Richard3120 (talk) 12:28, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- Oh wow, thanks Richard3120, I had no idea about that guideline. LOL I've narrowed it down and followed your suggestion in making the selections. Much appreciated! — Hunter Kahn 14:39, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- No problem... I just realised I didn't say exactly where that guideline was, but it's here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Album article style advice#Album ratings templates. The lead needs revising (for example, it's probably not necessary to mention the artwork and letter colouring here, now that they have their own section), but the rest of the article looks so much better now – should be a good candidate for GA. - Richard3120 Yeah, I'm still working on some additions to the article (some of the pieces are still in my sandbox), and then I'll revise the lead once I'm done. I often save the lead for last so as to make sure that once I get to it, I cover all the major points newly added to the body of the article. And yes, I'm definitely shooting for GA eventually. Incidentally, my ultimate goal is to get all the Field Music studio albums up to GA eventually; Open Here is already there, but Commontime is currently awaiting review in GAN, in case you're interested in taking it on. lol — Hunter Kahn 14:52, 15 November 2019 (UTC)

Typo?
Thanks for reviewing this DYK nom. Did you mean 'hook' when you wrote "lead is interesting..."?— Vaibhavafro 💬 08:53, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Vaibhavafro yes that's what I meant. I fixed it on the DYK page. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 14:26, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
