I Miss You (Miley Cyrus song)
[edit]Thank you for taking your time to review the article. I fixed a few things and have been trying to reach you on the GA talk and can't edit it. Everytime I leave something it doesn't appear. Can you fix that please? -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 21:28, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
- What must I do to respond to your comments because I guess it's something that I'm not doing right, -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 00:19, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- I think it's probably the way it is formatted. How many colons must I put? Anyways, the first wo comments for prose are taken care of. As for the third, Heather Phares of Allmusic wrote,
"Even though the title Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus seems a little self-defeating, it's true that the songs Cyrus sang as herself on the first soundtrack weren't especially memorable, so in a way her part of the set is a second chance to make a first impression. This time, the sound and the songs are better -- several tracks, such as 'GNO (Girls' Night Out)' and 'I Miss You,' could easily be Hannah Montana songs, but Cyrus' singing is lower and throatier, and the arrangements are more organic and rock-oriented."
The entire paragraph relates to each other and I know she only referenced "I Miss You" once. But, she is conveying the idea that her first songs were not memorable and this time around they are. Some songs could even be confused with quality of those of Hannah Montana. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 20:31, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- O.K. That's great. I love it. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 23:32, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

[edit]The first comment, I think we just addressed it and the third, I removed the quotes but the sky background is seen in the image. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 23:39, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- And for the fifth, I moved the comment to the "Live performances" section. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 23:41, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
The fourth does stay that her songs are better than what's heard on Radio Disney and says that those songs includes "I Miss You" so that should not be removed. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 23:43, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- First: On the side, it has teen pop as one of soundtrack's overall styles. Can we use that? And we can also just use rock music since it does say that.
- Second: I'll see what I can do. The Oprah Winfrey Show shows that his passing was her inspiration. Does it suffice?
- Third: O.K. Can we just describe the background as light blue rather than a sky? If not, deleting it is fine with me.
- Fourth: I beg to differ. It adds to it. Can we say "Joseph P. Kahn of The Boston Globe mentioned that Cyrus' songs surpassed much of what is heard on Radio Disney, adding that Cyrus' writing in 'I Miss You' was a portrayal of it."?
- Fifth: Done -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 02:11, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
O.K. I think everything is taken care of. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 05:01, 30 May 2010 (UTC) And thank you for actually reviewing the article with such thoroughness, not everyone would take their time to do that. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 05:17, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

[edit]Thanks! I really appreciate you taking the time to type that comment on my talk page, sorry about the trouble. And i see what your problem is now with it, thanks for narrowing it down, and I'm glad you like the genres i chose for my best friends girl because boy do The Cars use alot of genres, especially in theirs singles ("just what i needed" new wave, power pop, rock)("drive" synthpop ballad rock etc..) . But really, I'm glad you like the genres i chose for it, and i like to hear peoples opinion on what genre(s) i choose for a cars song, songs like bye bye love and just what i needed are really tough to label 1 or 2 genres to. Theirs not many bands out there like the cars that can mix or separately use genres such as rock, hard rock, art rock, power pop, synthpop, classic rock, rockabilly etc.. and still sound great. That's the thing about the cars, they had both a rock and pop side to them and sometimes their sides combined. take care!MajorHawke (talk) 21:14, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
References in golf articles
[edit]I truly think what Tewapack did to my edit on Keegan Bradley is nitpicking. First of all the accessdate of the article is totally unessential information. Does it tell readers anything important? Nope.
As to what news source it came from, its a wire service story posted to a sports website. ESPN isn't the originator of the story. Why give them credit.
Thirdly, I've been doing edits to golf tournament articles, Honda Classic Pensacola Open and Bob Hope Classic, just to name three, where I been putting tournament highlights sections. The highlights are all referenced without mention of the access date or what website or publication I got them from and Tewapack has gone through these edits to fix up any typos I made my KeeganWITHOUT putting in the access dates or news sources.
Then why does he revert my Keegan Bradley edit using that criteria? It's hypocritical clearly.
Tewapack may not like that I go into articles he has edited clearly wrong information and fixed them up. I tell him about it on his talk page. Recent examples of this are my fixes to articles on Calvin Peete and the 1975 U.S. Open. He had a wrong quote from Lee Trevino and trivial weather info in the article rather than the fact that Tom Watson tied the 36 hole scoring record in 75. The Peete article had Calvin working as a migrant farm worker instead selling jewelry to those people. I mean did he read the article he cited? Golf watchers in the 80's knew how Peete came to play golf.
Fix my edits if I got typos in them or factual mistakes, fine, if you're doesn't in no way changes the quality of the article, why do it and signal to me what I'm doing is a waste of time? Ask yourself- William 17:03, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

You deleted this page because of poor sources but after reading the general notability guidelines I'm confused as to why. The Lonely Island webpage is a credible site by a notable group, which mentions this production team as having worked with them. Please help restore this Wiki article as it meets all sufficient guidelines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.167.155.161 (talk) 01:13, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. I didn't delete the page actually, I just expressed an opinion in the discussion in favor of deletion at this time because there was no evident significant coverage for the producers in reliable sources, thus not meeting the WP:Notability or WP:MUSIC guidelines. By "significant coverage", Wiki editors typically try to find sources that "address the subject directly in detail [...] more than a trivial mention but it need not be the main topic of the source material." So, the coverage doesn't have to be 500+ words or anything, but it should be more than just a mention within a single sentence or listing. That's considered trivial, not significant. By "sources", secondary sources are preferred for establishing notability. An article in Billboard, Rolling Stone, The Source or some other notable magazine/newspaper, a write-up on MTV.com, Pitchfork, Stereogum or some other reputable website...those are some of the types of examples of getting "coverage" from outside, objective sources. Again, the Futuristics (as with any topic) don't have to be the main focus of the article, provided there is at least more than just a one-off mention. That's why, in my view, this production team needed more than a namedrop on the Lonely Island website (and other similar passing mentions in articles and/or directories) in order to sustain an independent article. It seems The Futuristics have worked with some notable people (The Lonely Island, Chris Brown, Cody Simpson, etc) so it may just be a matter of time before that type of coverage exists (if it doesn't already). If/when it does, I'll happily support an article. I hope that helps explain where I'm coming from. Take care, Gongshow Talk 04:05, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
Nicki Minaj "Super Bass"
[edit]Hello,
I created this page because I was unable to get the current Super Bass page to reflect the correct information about the song because one of the editors continues to delete my changes. http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/charts/currentsingles/the-billboard-hot-100 lists First Born with the credits and he should get publicity for his production work. If possible, can this page be undeleted or may I recreate it so Wikipedia has the correct information?
Thanks,
Rashad Lilashad (talk) 20:29, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Lilashad, I appreciate you wanting to avoid edit warring with another editor, but creating a virtually duplicate article in the meantime is not the solution. Since you've already tried to add the info to the "Super Bass" article, my advice is to state your case here on the article's talk page using any reliable sources you've found (perhaps like the Billboard link you mentioned). There's probably a reason why it's gotten removed, so the communication may help to reach an understanding and develop a consensus. Good luck. Gongshow Talk 20:57, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding. I've tried to work with the page creator and he's not listening to what I have to say. Thanks again. Lilashad (talk) 02:05, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
