Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Charlotte State Forest, from its old location at User:Froglife94/sandbox/Charlotte State Forest. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. -Liancetalk/contribs 08:44, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Old Flat State Forest moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Old Flat State Forest, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Onel5969 TT me 20:59, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There is only one primary source that I'm aware of for Old Flat State Forest. The source is authoritative and should be allowed to remain as-is. Why do you think there would or should be more sources?

Alexander Isak edit summary

[edit]

To me, the edit summary you gave in this edit seems confusing. In the English football pyramid, any league below League 2 is considered "non-league" therefore some people may think Alexander Isak played non-league football today instead of the Champions League. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 22:22, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. My summaries are more detailed than 99% of football editors out there, but I can see where you're coming from.

Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 21:51, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please revert this. I am going to re-write based on that info. I am not going to use the content verbatim.

February 2024

[edit]

Hi, we don't include Play-off appearances in the infobox stats (league appearances only), and within the Career Statistics table, they go in the 'Other' column rather than the League column. For example your recent edit to Sorba Thomas had incorrectly moved his 3 2021-22 Championship play-off appearances into the League column from the Other column. If using Soccerway it can be difficult to realise because it lumps both categories together, so it might be best to double-check before changing any old seasons. Regards, Nonleagueapps (talk) 17:19, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Understood, thanks for the info. Could you not have just made the adjustment instead of undoing my entire edit? Froglife94 (talk) 17:43, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

I didn't add the new team (Montrose) for Cammy Gill, someone else did. They did not source the edit. Please do not use this for anything other than English and Scottish league players - it is notoriously innacurate for everything else. Your stats on Lamine Fanne were wrong. GiantSnowman 19:10, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. By "this" I assume you mean Soccerbase. And to be clear, they're not "my" stats, they're the stats that Soccerbase has for him. That's why I posted to Wikipedia:WikiProject Football for guidance on what to do when Soccerbase and Soccerway differ on stats. I didn't get any actionable advice.
