Speedy deletion nomination of Rainbow Foods inc.
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rainbow Foods inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. --Finngall talk 02:40, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
- (I've already responded on the article talk page, but I'm responding here also in case the article gets deleted in the meantime)
- The information may be factual and the company may well be notable, but we still need verifiable references to reliable sources to back it up. We want all information here to be properly sourced, so without those references, there is nothing on which to base an article. Please peruse the links above, and feel free to let me know if you have questions. --Finngall talk 03:23, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
- The formatting can use some improvement and I think we can do better for references, but it's good enough for now and I've withdrawn the speedy deletion tag. Also, since the company is no longer owned by Roundy's, I'll put in a request to rename the page to Rainbow Foods, which currently redirects to the Roundy's page--since the page exists and has a short amount of history--making that move requires the intervention of an administrator, which I'm not.
- Good job. I'll work on it a bit myself. --Finngall talk 04:12, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
- I've done a pretty comprehensive rewrite of the article. Feel free to expand it or make such improvements as you think are warranted. I've also officially requested the page move. Have a good day. --Finngall talk 06:24, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Rainbow Foods inc.
[edit]Hello FoxNewsChannelFan,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rainbow Foods inc. for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Jayakumar RG (talk) 04:21, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
- Ignore this. I've untagged this and notified the tagger. --Finngall talk 04:31, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm MusikAnimal. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Robin Williams, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. File permission problem with File:Lunds Food Holdings.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Lunds Food Holdings.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:23, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Lunds Food Holdings.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Lunds Food Holdings.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:55, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Draft:HP inc., and it appears to include material copied directly from http://simplevia.com/partners/hp/.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
- User contributions
- Recent changes
- Watchlists
- Revision differences
- IRC channels
- Related changes
- New pages list and
- Article editing history
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! DVdm (talk) 17:59, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Comcast Cable with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. --allthefoxes (Talk) 20:01, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
This is your final warning. You may be blocked from editing without further notice the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Comcast Cable. --allthefoxes (Talk) 20:02, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
How to respond to vandalism
[edit]Hi. While the administrator's noticeboard is a place to go when there are problems (including vandalism and personal attacks), it's really meant for severe and/or irregular issues. When you think you see vandalism, please:
1) Make sure that it doesn't fall under WP:NOTVAND. The edit to your user page did qualify as vandalism (and also a personal attack).
2) Revert the edit (you've already got that figured out), but be careful to not revert more than three times unless you are absolutely positive that the edit can only be described as vandalism.
3) Warn the offending user using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Template_messages/User_talk_namespace. They need to be given sufficient warning. Some users go through all four levels of warnings. I usually start at 2, unless there's any chance that the person just made a mistake (then I start at 1 or write a note). Increased levels should be for the same or similar behavior.
4) If the offending user has continued in the same behavior past the final warning, report them at WP:AIV if they are vandals or spammers, or their only actions on the site are personal attacks. Otherwise, check out the different noticeboards for something relevant. If there is nothing relevant, then try Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Former CG Kmart.jpeg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Former CG Kmart.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Circuit City Corp. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. [edit]Please reconsider your request for adminship. It takes a while to build up a reputation and trust with the community (which is imperative to a successful RfA). Check out Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship for more information. -- John Reaves 17:00, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

Admin
[edit]Hi. I notice you have just created Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/FoxNewsChannelFan. However, although you've been around for a couple of years and you have done some great work, I see you have only made a little more than 300 edits in total -- and there's no realistic chance of anyone without at least a few thousand edits succeeding in an admin nomination. When you added yourself to WP:RFA (before actually creating your nomination page, so it was reverted), you should have seen the message "Please read Administrators, the Guide to requests for adminship, and Advice for RfA candidates before proceeding with a nomination". Please do have a read of those pages, and let me know if I can help over on my talk page. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:01, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Redirects like John stossel
[edit]You do not need to create redirects for people's names such as the form "Paul newman" or "Robert redford", where the last name is not capitalized. The software already automatically takes that into account, and redirects without there having to be a redirect in place. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 17:25, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
I see you have been making various moves regarding Circuit City and related pages, but the way you are doing it is causing problems. I've started a discussion here, and I must ask you to please stop all editing on those pages until the problems are resolved. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:26, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- I've fixed the move. Please don't do any more moves without asking for advice first. It's clear you want to help and it can be hard to settle into the myriad layers of absurd rules and bureaucracy around here, so please don't be afraid of asking for help. Here is a good resource:Help:Contents and a live chat service. -- John Reaves 17:52, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- There's no need for a separate article titled Circuit City Corporation, all the same information is contained in Circuit City. -- John Reaves 03:27, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
- I understand your reasoning, but it is not sound or in agreement with Wikipedia policy. Please seek help at the article's talk page or elsewhere as you are new and experienced. I have to go, or I would explain further. -- John Reaves 03:55, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

Hello there ...about moves
[edit]Could we get you to read over Wikipedia:Moving a page before moving more pages. I see that your moves are done in good faith...but they are not being done properly. You can review this checklist of things to consider before a page move. The main principles for choosing an article title are described at Wikipedia:Article titles. Please do not move or rename a page by copying and pasting its content to a different title. Doing so fragments the edit history and Wikipedia's copyright licenses requires attribution of all contributors. You may not always be able to move a page yourself, and should refrain from doing so even if there is no technical impediment, where the rename would be considered controversial and thus should be discussed first. If you have any questions just ask ...here or on my talk page. -- Moxy (talk) 17:49, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lunds, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Private. Speedy deletion nomination of Lunds
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Lunds requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://lundsandbyerlys.com/about-us/our-history/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". : Noyster (talk), 20:37, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
Copyright violations
[edit]Hi. You have been warned about copyright violations, above, yet you have continued. Your latest at Lunds and at Byerly's (now reverted and revision deleted) were copies of text from here and elsewhere. This is unacceptable, not only because it is a breach of Wikipedia's rules, but also because it is a breach of copyright law. Please read Wikipedia:Copyright violations carefully, and do not copy any text or images from anywhere else on the web into Wikipedia. When you add material to Wikipedia, you must write it in your own words. If you commit further copyright violations, your account is very likely to be blocked indefinitely. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 21:36, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Just to add, while the text you added at Lunds was copied from here, the text you used to create Byerly's was copied from the original Lunds & Byerlys article without attribution. You had the problem with this explained to you when you copied and pasted content between versions of the Circuit City articles. So please also carefully read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 21:49, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- I've also just seen that you did exactly the same with Visa Europe and Visa Inc. when you copied a large amount of the content from the former to the latter without attribution. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 21:58, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- Also, you did exactly the same at Chrysler and FCA US LLC, and at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome and Demolition of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, which people are having to continually clean up. So I'm sorry, but there is so much disruption that I'm going to have to block you to prevent it continuing... Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 22:02, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Circuit City Corporation. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Circuit City. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Circuit City – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. MorbidEntree - (Talk to me! (っ◕‿◕)っ♥)(Contribs)(please reply using {{ping}}
