Regarding blocked users and talk page access

[edit]

Hello Eridian314, I noticed you were trying to tag User talk:TaylorMomsen69 for speedy deletion. Whilst the majority of blocked users are allowed to edit their talk page, those who use it to edit disruptively can be reported to an admin so that their talk page access is revoked. Also, that example qualifies for G3 - vandalism. Thanks, Pahunkat (talk) 16:15, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I haven't really had to deal with persistent vandals, so I didn't know what to do. I'll make sure to do that from now on. Eridian314 (talk) 16:17, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit

[edit]

Hello, what kind of edit warring are you talking? If it's about Gabbi, Tuft (since you warned the other user), I think the other user is wrong. Usually, when a person comes out as transgender, we change the whole article, just like Elliot Page, with no difference between before and after. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 17:15, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the other user is wrong, but I also believe that this should be settled on the talk page. Correct me if I'm wrong. Eridian314 (talk) 17:18, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think it was just the other user didn't know the policies about this subject. Next time, I will talk with him. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 17:22, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Gabbi Tuft Sorry but the reader will be able to understand that there is a change because it is documented earlier in the article. Stories include change that's why you read along. At that point Gabbi Tuft wss a man. Tuft What causes confusion is to say that a male was a female in flesh and blood before he actually became a woman. I moved the article changing the actuality of history for the point of supposed simplicity is actually causing confusion and the intellectual reductionist is not good for anyone. And again no one is denying gender status.Strattonsmith (talk) 17:19, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What? I don't understand what you mean. Eridian314 (talk) 17:20, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ask me? Tuft was a man at that point in history and should be described as a he at that point. The name Gabbi Tuft may not even have crossed her mind at that juncture. It is an inaccurate depiction of history beyond the persona.Strattonsmith (talk) 17:26, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Confused/Apology (?)

[edit]

Apparently due to a shared IP address or something (I am not well versed on how this works), I received a warning that there were two changes made on the 14th December 2020 that was made from this IP address. The language is reminiscence of my mother tongue but seems to be jibberish. I do not know how that changes were attributed to this address. I apologize for the inconvenience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.6.236.38 (talk) 03:13, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I'm not an expert on IP addresses, but I've noticed that internet service providers sometimes give multiple people the same address. Don't worry, it isn't your fault. If this keeps happening, I recommend creating an account or downloading a VPN. Eridian314 (talk) 13:59, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Macrobiotic diet. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Alexbrn (talk) 18:48, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'll probably just leave the page alone from now on. Sorry, I got a bit carried away. Eridian314 (talk) 18:52, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Enthusiasm is good but it's also wise to be careful ... Thanks for your efforts to keep the article in question sane. Alexbrn (talk) 18:58, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article 2011 Armenian internet outage has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While sadly humorous, this has no lasting impact. As per WP:NOTNEWS.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi Eridian314,

The user HOA 101 removed the issue I raised under his/her talk page. S/he did not want to resolve the issue and deleted the message without responding to issue as shown [1]. if you got time can you resolve the issue Please as the user continue adding unsourced contents to different page. I have been tag you if can help Please. here the issues

  • In the naftenya pages He claimed “ One particular example used by Ethiopianist Oromos, like Dr. Merera Gudina, against OLF.” I have gone through Both sources never mentioned. Deliberately distorting statement is a serious an offence. All this statement is made-up story not validating. diff is [3]
  • disruptive editing by adding words between sourced contents and displacing them causing meaningless ofstatement[4] and [5]
  • in the Ethiopian nationalism page the sourced contents was removed by HOA 101 as shown here and [6] and removed existing sourced contents placed under footnote by replacing what words of he think right.

all other edited contents look deleted and replaced

HOA101did not want response and reached consensus as he deleted message from his page Thanks MfactDr (talk) 23:10, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We've already discussed all of this. Why are you rehashing this with several other people all the time? All sources have been cited, just because your political views disagree with the sources does not make it unreliable and when there are sources with conflicting views, facts, and evidence both would have to be mentioned instead of just picking one side, especially on issues related to Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa which are almost always controversial with limited authoritative consensus on such topics in the both the academic world and the general public sphere. We've already gone through this before: here are a few examples, User talk:Landroving Linguist#naftenya article under disruptive editing and Talk:Ethiopian nationalism#Amhara Political-Predominance Era vs. Shewan (Shewan Neftenya) Political-Predominance Era. HOA101 (talk) 02:13, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

HOA 101 do you really understand what you did in the following page like Prosperity Party, Neftenya, Tigray war and Ethiopian nationalism. I am not here to comment on your political view, which is you entitled your view. your whataboutism not really relevant to unsourced addition to the existing sourcing contents. Your claim like “ On the occasion of attacks on the Wollo Amharas in Ataye, Oromia Zone of Amhara Region allegedly by the Oromo Liberation Front ” not in source. borkena website not saying as you claimed. you are distorting information and misleading Wikipedia community. You need to prove your claim by adding reliable sources that match with the contents. Wikipedia is not advertisement website or your blog that you put your opinion in the contents like this [10] unsourced biased. In Naftenya pages you claimed “ One particular example used by Ethiopianist Oromos, like Dr. Merera Gudina, against OLF.” both sources not saying this statement at all you need to prove it.MfactDr (talk) 01:07, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss this on the article's talk page, or ANI if needed. Eridian314 (talk) 13:56, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello Eridian314, I AM the source. I was at the exact location in John Paul Jones Park in Brooklyn twice over the weekend, I excavated the tree roots next to the monument and it matches both the illustration of the lower robe in the figure (which is the exact tree to match up) and with both visual interpretation and exact wording in the verse "look down and see simple roots" the roots of this tree LITERALLY look like it spells S I M P L E while walking around the tree. I found the mark and spot, and then there was already a depressed hole filled in where it should have been. Be careful, since I wrote this, there might be some kind of slander/libel type consequences you might be subject to when calling me "unreliable". I can even upload pictures of the tree/ roots, and explain ALL the CLUES in the illustration, even ones that I haven't seen online being found. So again, if the casque ends up being found in that exact location as I am stating, when I originally posted it, but this page didn't reflect it due to calling me an unreliable source, then you are on a thin line of committing slander. Crime categorization

[edit]

Just a note - we have to wait until there's a conviction in a court of law to categorize those acts as a crime, because doing so has BLP implications for those who are charged with the acts. As soon as there is a conviction (and hopefully there will be), the category can go in. And similarly, we will be able to rename the article Murder of Ahmaud Arbery. Understood. Thank you. Eridian314 (talk) 16:19, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

September Reply

[edit]

I wanted to thank you for the reply to my edit. The source I found was from Kurzgesagt itself which would be unreliable and biased. I kept digging and found that some consider Mark Rober to be a science based channel which would eclipse Kurzgesagt in number of subscriber count. Though I personally do not consider him to be a science channel, the numbers do not lie. Although if the Kurzgesagt subscriber count beats Rober in the future, I will make the edit. Thank you for your time. FictiousLibrarian (talk). 17:17, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
