[edit]Hello. I've reviewed the DYK nomination for this article – note that some issues need to be addressed. Quandarie13:13, 2022-09-20
Question from Andreascontent (15:47, 14 October 2024)
[edit]Hi there, I have just created a draft, thinking that this would be saved automatically. I didn't dare press "Publish". Any hints, how I can see the draft anywhere. Or was I supposed to press the "Publish" button? --Andreascontent (talk) 15:47, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Andreascontent: Hi! Based on your contributions, it doesn't look like you've saved a draft - i.e., it likely is not saved anywhere. If you're creating something in the draft namespace, there's absolutely no harm in pressing "Publish" - it'll just be saved in as a draft, not immediately accessible to readers in the "main" article namespace. AviationFreak💬 17:44, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for the quick response, that's what I thought after the page warned me that changes might be discarded if I leave. At least, I copied the content here offline. So back with this tomorrow. And probably more questions to you.
- Thanks again! Andreascontent (talk) 19:34, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sure thing - glad you have a copy saved! AviationFreak💬 21:55, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi again,
- I edited quite a lot on my entry about EOMAP today and was wondering, if you could have a look at all this. Perhaps you could give it a critical review and provide some feedback, where there is (most) room for improvement. That would be very helpful. Thanks! Andreascontent (talk) 18:17, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- I think the draft looks fairly good; just make sure you've familiarized yourself with the conflict of interest guidelines. Formatting-wise, I'd encourage you to look at similar articles and use the "edit source" function to see what kinds of wiki-code they use. AviationFreak💬 17:31, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. Will look into that tomorrow! Another user has made me aware of that, too. As you might have thought, I am working for that company, and I will of course make that transparent. There was some advice on the platform, that we'd rather have someone else write about "us". But I am realist enough to know that no one will ;-). - And I still find the text a bit edgy. I was using the References as a guiding thread, but have to put that together to something people enjoy reading more, I guess. 85.85.130.173 (talk) 19:31, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Andreascontent: Note that per this page, any paid editing performed (i.e., situations where the editor has a "close financial relationship" to the subject), must be declared on the editor's userpage. There are further requirements enumerated on the aforementioned page. AviationFreak💬 19:49, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi again, I did some edits, have disclosed COI in my account.
- Now, another user has recommended to put this into a draft section, rather than into my sandbox to enable checks by other users. Would you recommend that, too?
- Thanks. Andreascontent (talk) 14:54, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- I don't see this other user's suggestion right off, but I assume they're referring to Articles for Creation, a process by which experienced users can leave comments on a draft and then either reject or accept it into the Article "mainspace" for readers to view. Note that rejected drafts can often be improved to a point for resubmission, but no amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability. There are instructions here on submitting your sandbox draft; these AfC drafts can exist in either the "User" space (e.g., your sandbox) or the "Draft" space - moving the content from your sandbox to the draft space should not be necessary. Question from Cactusmooncat (20:21, 16 October 2024)
[edit]Hi, I tried to post an article but it seems to have disappeared, I can't find it in any drafts. How do I know when the drafted article has been published/ how do I access it? I thought I posted it but it has now disappeared. --Cactusmooncat (talk) 20:21, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Cactusmooncat: Based on your contributions, it doesn't look like you made any edits before leaving this comment. However, I see that you've now submitted Draft:Janet Pomeroy. AviationFreak💬 17:33, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

hi there...i'm trying to create an article....but i'm not sure how to get the template up to work within the proper framework. can you help? --Lbalton (talk) 20:32, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Lbalton: That's great! I see you've been working on Draft:Lori Balton, Location Scout. Is there a particular template you're having trouble with? As a rule of thumb, there's a lot of great information at this page on the basics of writing an article. AviationFreak💬 20:46, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
Question from Angelaobii (16:56, 6 November 2024)
[edit]Hello Mentor,
Trust you're doing great. I'm looking to create a Wikipedia page for my organisation and CEO. Any advise on how to go about this?
Best Regards, Angela --Angelaobii (talk) 16:56, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Angelaobii: Editing with a conflict of interest is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. Additionally, any editors receiving payment for their editing are required to disclose this. AviationFreak💬 23:33, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
Suggestions on Wikipedia
[edit]Hi, let me know where I can give off suggestions or directly give me a link Ultimate Tai (talk) 16:45, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Ultimate Tai: I'm not sure exactly what you mean; if you're looking for a place to ask questions and get feedback, you might try the teahouse. AviationFreak💬 23:29, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
