A belated welcome!

[edit]
The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Moe the Alexandrian! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may still benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Need some ideas of what kind of things need doing? Try the Task Center.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! – Isochrone (talk) 12:53, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot Isochrone! I also want to thank YOU for your amazing contributions. I'll make sure to benefit from the link you sent me. I definitely enjoy editing in Wikipedia. Apart from getting to write pages about many sites and people (I'm currently writing a page about a Greco-Roman theatre, the only one of it's kind in Egypt) in my hometown and my country, I love generally improving the website, it gives me pride that I'm part of an effort to create a new Library for Alexandria. Thanks once again for your warm message. Oh and thank you for the cookies! Moe the Alexandrian (talk) 13:08, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Feel free to ask me any questions if you have any, though it seems you’re getting along quite well. – Isochrone (talk) 22:35, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

^w^ silly mistake really. I'll find out about the proper AD dates and I will add them to the page soon. For now I edited the page to display only the AH dates. Moe the Alexandrian (talk) 11:41, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Spiro Spathis (July 1)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by HighKing was:  The comment the reviewer left was: Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
HighKing++ 13:26, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
HighKing I've talked to an wikipedia editor and they do quite agree that this is an unfounded rejection, as we simply don't believe that the sources used are not independent or that they are using sources affiliated with the company. It would be helpful from your part to specify those you believe are not independent, as I'm sure there's no way that none, yes NONE as you said, meet ORGIND. Peace be with you, and I hope you clarify more, as I am not seeking an argument, I just want more feedback that is not generalisation. The Authentic Egyptian Pasha (talk) 16:56, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • I posted a detailed explanation already of the GNG/WP:NCORP guidelines and the specific sections which the references fail. The best way for you to learn our guidelines is for you to pick one of the references and identify the content within that reference that contains in-depth "Independent Content". If you can do so, link to the reference here, pointing to the paragraphs that you believe meet the guidelines and giving reasons why, and we will discuss. HighKing++ 10:57, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Spiro Spathis (July 7)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected and cannot be resubmitted. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by HighKing was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: After the 4th rejection, and especially if the editor doesn't engage with feedback, topic just isn't notable. Insufficient GNG/WP:NCORP sourcing.

Thanks for your contributions to Spiro Spathis. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability, it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page and do not move it without review from another editor. Star Mississippi 18:53, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
