Welcome!
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Sanduru, have removed content without a good reason to do so. Content on Wikipedia should not be removed just because you disagree with it or because you think it's wrong, unless the claim is not verifiable. Instead, you should consider expanding the article with noteworthy and verifiable information of your own, citing reliable sources when you do so. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! — LeoFrank Talk 09:57, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Harapanahalli Taluk
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Harapanahalli Taluk, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. (See section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Duggavathi moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Duggavathi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Disruptive editing
[edit]@Darshan Kavadi Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Harapanahalli. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges.
- Pl. note and read Wikipedia is a collaborative encyclopedia and what Wikipedia is not, one is not expected to show ownership behaviour over Wikipedia content, others have as much right to participate in content development as much you have; hence you are supposed to follow policies and just not keep reverting other's edits. After any one contests your addition you are expected to provide reliable sources and that has been explained to you @ Talk:Harapanahalli. Still you seem to have chosen to continue your previous action to continue inserting questioned content without providing sources moreover, you have removed citation needed template too, and that is non-cooperative for collaborative content development. I am second editor giving you this advice and warning, still if you feel not convinced by our guidance you can request help at WP:Teahouse. Requesting your earliest course correction by providing reliable sources and stopping restoring of contested unsourced content. -- Bookku (talk) 03:47, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Darshan Kavadi Your non-cooperation regarding above mentioned issue has been discussed and admin attention is sought at @ Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics. Continued non-coperation may not help you in long run. I suggest you join the discussion to seek guidance there. Bookku (talk) 02:51, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Darshan Kavadi Pl. read WP:NOINDICSCRIPT policy which states ".. Avoid the use of Indic scripts (non-Latin scripts) in lead sections or infoboxes. Instead, use International Phonetic Alphabet pronunciation guides, which are more international. .."
- Requesting your attention and co-operation once again. -- Bookku (talk) 06:07, 4 August 2023 (UTC)

. Lourdes 10:40, 9 August 2023 (UTC)- I never usually block indefinitely unless there is a significant structurally disruptive issue involved, and in this case, I realise that you have perhaps no idea of what is the concept of verifying any statement on reliable sources. Once you have read up on verifiability and confirmed you understand reliable sourcing, you can use the instructions mentioned above to request an unblock. Any administrator may unblock you without checking with me, in case they are satisfied you understand the above mentioned issues. Thanks, Lourdes 10:42, 9 August 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Darshan Kavadi. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Bennihalli".

Unblocked
[edit]Hello. Last month the community became aware that the administrator who blocked you, User:Lourdes, had been editing in violation of a ban on a previous account. An administrator and myself have looked through some of Lourdes more consequential blocks to determine if they were blocks that a reasonable administrator would have made. In your case, we determined that the block on your account was heavy handed and the block was applied when you had already disengaged from editing Harapanahalli. Admins usually do not unblock users who do not have open unblock requests, but given the exceptional circumstances I have elected to do so here. I am unblocking you with the following warnings:
- You are warned to communicate better with your peers. If someone comes to your talkpage and asks you to stop doing something, please discuss with them here rather than continuing to do it. If you are unable to reach an understanding here, follow dispute resolution steps.
- You are strongly encouraged to stay away from editing Harapanahalli until you have a better grasp on the rules of this project.
- This is very likely to be your "last chance". Any subsequent issues related to your content editing or non-communication may likely to lead to an indefinitely block on your account.
OhanaUnitedTalk page 20:15, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- @OhanaUnited,
- Requesting you to have this recent edit of @Darshan Kavadi and guide them in your own way.
- Idk what were the options before User:Lourdes as an admin then, but they had picked up the issue from my request @ User_talk:ScottishFinnishRadish/Archive_22#Requesting_attention
- @Darshan Kavadi may be visiting less number of time per month, but I am not sure they were fully disengaged since their first edits to Harapanahalli
- Though generally we avoid to associate ips with users looking at summaries, article Harapanahalli seem to have remained disrupted for the same content over the subsequent months.
- I have given a WP:CTOP alert by separate message @Darshan Kavadi, requesting at least now listen to OhanaUnited's advice.
- Bookku (talk) 15:21, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Bookku: Thanks. Even I did not know the existence of WP:NOINDICSCRIPT, which is rather unique. @Darshan Kavadi: Can you please review WP:NOINDICSCRIPT? This is an agreement established by Wikipedia editors to address the multi-lingual nature of India and we expect all editors to adhere to this guideline. You may reply directly to this message by clicking on the "reply" button. OhanaUnitedTalk page 15:45, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
Bookku (talk) 14:07, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- Please also note WP:CTOP restrictions regarding Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Civility in infobox discussions too. Bookku (talk) 14:28, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
January 2024
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Zippybonzo | talk | contribs (she/they) 14:08, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- @User:OhanaUnited Can you give a look at ongoing edit war @ the recent edit history of article Harpanahalli.
- I can see almost all edits by User:Darshan Kavadi seem to be mobile edits. Whether mobile editors get user talk page notices? because most of messages on this talk page have been ignored by the user, IDK if they did not get all these messages or they are ignoring them? Bookku (talk) 06:41, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Bookku: I have edited on mobile before and you can see notices there (assuming they know what the notice indicator means, because many new editors don't). But since it's about WP:NOINDICSCRIPT again, I might do a page edit restricton on Darshan Kavadi to prevent his/her edit to Harapanahalli. OhanaUnitedTalk page 06:48, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
Darshan Kavadi, I have now placed a page block on Harpanahalli for violating WP:NOINDICSCRIPT. This means that you will not be able to edit any contents on that page. If your behaviour escalates to other pages, I may restore the indefinite block on your account because you did not respond to user talk page comments. OhanaUnitedTalk page 15:00, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
