Disambiguating bishops and archbishops

Please stop moving pages with the dab phrase "(bishop of X)" to "(Bishop of X)" or "(archbishop of X)" to "(Archbishop of X)". Without any discussion or consesus you altered the guidelines on Wikipedia:Naming conventions (clergy), which I have reverted. I've also moved back a number pages you have made, and I will continue to revert any moves. If you do not like or disagree with the guidelines then start a discussion about them on Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (clergy) where other editors may come to consensus to change/alter the guidelines. I take exception to both the tone and content of your last sentence: you know BRD as well as I and we shall proceed to D as soon as I can summon the wherewithal to lay out my arguments. In hindsight, knowing now how you took that last sentence to be a reprimand, I should have worded it differently. The "You do not" was not meant to be a reprimand to you personally, but meant to people in general. It's like saying "You do not need a ticket for this bus". It was meant for people in general and not for individuals. I know you an excellent editor and have made many contributions to Wikipedia, but I was, still am, disappointed that you edited a guidelines page without consulting anyone. The guideline explicitly shows lower-case "bishop", giving the example of William Turner (bishop of Salford). It reads: "Note that the lower-case in 'bishop' does not apply to use of an episcopal title ('Bishop of London') in article text". It does apply, however, to disambiguation. Even you noted Debrett's is an esteemed source. Did you check the link? It also clearly noted the distinction between title and style, however both are acceptable in the WP headline. Additionally, it appears that you ignored the longstanding heading in the infobox as well. As for Debrett's being a secondary source, it is supported by several primary sources, notably the official website for Parliament. Your issue doesn't appear to be with me, but with Debrett's and more notably with the UK's Parliament. As for style, you should note that Parliament's website also recognized Thatcher as Baroness Thatcher. However, she was obviously decorated far more than Lloyd Webber and not all life peers are created equal. She was also belonged to the Orders of Garter and Merit and was a PC member. Lord Lloyd Webber's own website, I should note, also lists him as, "the Lord Lloyd Webber (of Sydmonton)". So I really don't know what more you need. Assuming you're the same DBD elsewhere then the answer is 'of' has been used with that peerage and with others of the same type for centuries. The first duke's son is listed in the coronation processions with 'of' and it has continued since. But then its not so very far from other peerages where wholly invented titles come and go.
