Orphaned non-free image (Image:London Underground Pocket Tube Map Oct 2008.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:London Underground Pocket Tube Map Oct 2008.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Image source problem with Image:BenjaminGrosvenor.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:BenjaminGrosvenor.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:21, 1 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 20:21, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:BenjaminGrosvenor.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:BenjaminGrosvenor.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. TheGrappler (talk) 21:50, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Go Back to Where You Came from
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Go Back to Where You Came from requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://albawhitewolf.com/go-back-to-where-you-came-from/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free rationale for File:Theresa Maybe in Brexitland.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Theresa Maybe in Brexitland.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:12, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
- Please don't remove maintenance/deletion templates added to file pages like you did with this edit unless you've addressed the problem(s) referred to by the template(s). Removing templates such as those will not keep a file from being deleted and will be eventually seen as disruptive is you continue to do so. These templates are not only for the benefit of the file's uploader, but also to let other editors know that the file has certain issues which need to be addressed, If you're not sure what a particular template means or why it was added, feel free to ask for assistance at WP:MCQ or at WP:THQ. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:17, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

Non-free image use
[edit]Hi Cgrosvenor. The licensing of each media file you see used on Wikipedia is determined by it copyright status and not every file you see on Wikipedia is licensed the same. Some files are licensed as public domain or licensed under a free licensed suitable for Wikipedia and these are often collectively referred to as "free images". Other files are licensed as non-free content because of their copyright status and these files are commonly referred to as "non-free". Non-free content use on Wikipedia is highly restricted and each use of such files must satisfy Wikipedia's non-free image use policy. One of these restrictions is WP:NFCC#9, which says that non-free content can only be used in the article namespace. For this reason and as explained in WP:DRAFTS#Preparing drafts, non-free content such as File:-Theresa Maybe in Brexitland.jpg cannot be used Draft:Theresa Maybe in Brexitland. Perhaps you didn't see the edit sums I left when I previously removed the file before; therefore, I'm posting this here to provide more explanation. Please don't add this file (or any other non-free files) to the draft again. If you have any questions about this feel free to ask them below, at WT:NFC or WP:MCQ.
Just for reference, the presence or lack of images in a draft is completely irrelevant to whether said dratt will eventually be accepted. What matters is whether the draft satisfies Wikipedia7s notability guideline. Images can be added after the draft has been accepted. If the above-mentioned file is deleted before the draft has been accepted, don't panic; files which are deleted are not gone forever, but rather only hidden from public view. A deleted non-free file can be restored fairly easily once the issues which led to its deletion have been resolved. Just ask for help at WP:REFUND or discuss things with the administrator who deleted the file. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:07, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
Removing file maintenance/notification templates
[edit]I already mentioned this once above in #Non-free rationale for File:Theresa Maybe in Brexitland.jpg, but for some reason you've gone and done it again here. Please do not remove templates from files unless you've addressed the reasons why the templates were added. Continuing to do so will be considered disruptive editing and an adminstrator will be asked to step in and take appropriate action to prevent any further disruption. If you don't understand why a particular template was added or are not sure what you need to to resolve the relevant issue, please ask for assistance at WP:MCQ.
Just for reference the two template added to have to do with WP:F5 and WP:NFCC#7. All non-free content uploaded to Wikipedia is required to be used in at least one article per NFCC#7, and those which are not are considered "orphaned images" and subject to speedy deletion per WP:F5. This is why the Template:Di-orphaned fair use was added to the file. Drafts, user pages, talk pages, etc. do not count as articles, so as long as the file remains unused it will keep being tagged for speedy deletion. Moreover, non-free content can only be used in the article namespace per WP:NFCC#9, so the non-free use rationale you added to the file's page is not valid.
The other template added to the file's page is Template:Orphaned non-free revisions. This has to do with older versions of a file which have been replaced by a newer version. For essentially the same reasons as those given above, these older revisions are considered "orphans" and are also subject to speedy deletion. They are no longer being used, so they are no longer needed.
In either of the above cases, an administrator will review the files and determine what to do. If the file or the older revisions need to be deleted then that's what will happen. As I also explained above in #Non-free image use, deleted files are not gone forever, but rather are only hidden from view. So, if the "Brexitland" file is deleted, you can always request that it be restored at a later date once the issues which led to its deletion have been resolved. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:29, 6 April 2018 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:MadeleinaKay.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:MadeleinaKay.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. - If you are the original copyright holder of this file (i.e., the photographer who took the photo), then just send a declaration of consent to Wikimedia OTRS. If, however, you are not the original copyright holder, then you need to provide verification that the original copyright holder has agreed to release the file under a free license compatible with Wikipedia policy. You will need to have the original copyright holder send the necessary email to OTRS. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:55, 6 April 2018 (UTC)

[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Madeleina Kay, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Scientists For EU, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. power~enwiki (π, ν) 21:06, 8 August 2018 (UTC)

File source problem with File:MikeGalsworthy.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:MikeGalsworthy.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
