Your GA nomination of Wayzata Bay Center
The article Wayzata Bay Center you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Wayzata Bay Center for comments about the article. Well done! Did you check that I had responded to the GA reviews? —IB [ Poke ] 18:14, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- @IndianBio: I just did. I'll respond within the next day so I can reread the entire article throughly. Sorry for the inconvenience. Carbrera (talk) 22:27, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Hello Carbrera. I don't believe we have had communications on Wikipedia before. I am sorry to say that I have had to interject on your review of "All I Ask" and give it a quick-fail. A comprehensive decision detailing the reasons why I have had to do this are on the review page for the song. — Calvin999 08:50, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- Carbrera, as you will have noticed, it is not allowed that another reviewer close a review you have opened and are working on, so Calvin999's "quick-fail" has been reverted. The GA2 review is yours, and you may proceed however you wish and render a final verdict in due course. I imagine that you will want to consult the previous GA review at some point, Talk:All I Ask (Adele song)/GA1, to see what issues arose the first time around. It doesn't appear that there have been significant changes to the article since the previous review, which is not a good sign, but perhaps you will have better luck. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:04, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- That is exactly why I quick failed it and interjected BlueMoonset. When the nominator has done zilch to the article since the previous GAN, it's a nomination on whim and shouldn't be nominated. It's a waste of time. I've done this several time before and several of my friends have done it too. — Calvin999 08:46, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- If what Calvin999 did is not allowable, then how is it allowable to immediately reverse a GA given because you don't agree with how the GA was performed, BlueMoonset (as you did at Billy the Kid)? -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 13:42, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- Calvin999, you were certainly welcome to post a comment to the already open review noting the continuing issues, and even recommending that Carbrera fail it out of hand. If Carbrera had not opened the review, you could have quickfailed it yourself. But once Carbrera had opened the review, the decision was (and is) Carbrera's:
Other editors are also welcome to comment and work on the article, but the final decision on listing will be with the first reviewer.
- Winkelvi, this is from the other end: the actual reviewer, Cabrera, hadn't done anything that was problematic. In the case of Billy the Kid, we had a new reviewer who had plunged in way over his head, completely bollixed up the review page name and format, and hadn't applied the GA criteria. I backed things up to the point just before the close, fixed the review page, and pointed out the issues. If the reviewer had gone ahead and redone the approval, that would have been it: the approval would have stuck, and other avenues would have come into play. But the reviewer realized that their foray had been problematic, and the review resumed from there. There's a world of difference between an inadvisable nomination and a new reviewer in over his or her head. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:19, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- Circumstances are different, however, the fact remains that you intervened and made a decision on your own, you didn't go to the reviewer first to consult, you just reversed the GA. Not that it shouldn't have been reversed - it should have. But, frankly, I don't see your action as any different than Calvin's. A more experienced and obviously wiser reviewer took the reins and did the right thing - in both cases. You even alluded here, above, that the article should not have been nominated again without some serious work being done first. Is there any specific policy that says what Calvin did was wrong? -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 21:35, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- Since I left my note, stating that I will be reviewing the article, I would appreciate if I could do just that. If the article is of bad quality, I will recommend what the nominator should do to make it GA status. If the article is of good quality, I will leave suggestions like I always do, and then pass it. Primarily, I have many other articles to review first, so don't expect a review for awhile. Carbrera (talk) 21:40, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hence why I interjected. Carbrera, MF has not made any improvement in between nominations. It was a whim nomination. Anyone else and it would have been ejected straight away. It's a waste of time. — Calvin999 22:01, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Calvin999: Well, actually it wouldn't be a waste of time, as I'm competing in the GA Cup, so I will give a thorough, honest, and detailed review. Carbrera (talk) 22:06, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- Ah, well, you have a vested interested in just scoring points then to ensure you proceed to the next round. From a moral point of view, the review should not take place. The nominator has made absolutely and unequivocally no effort at all to improve the article since the previous GAN. That is grounds for an immediate quick fail. I don't see how you can think of passing it when the nominator refuses to make any changes suggested previously. — Calvin999 22:11, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

Yes, it's true I'm reviewing it to receive points, but if I only cared about just receiving points–would I really have decided to review an article that's been up for just a few days? No, I picked this to review because I'm interested with the topic and I'm knowledgeable of the topic. Please, just allow me to review the article and feel free to post your opinion of my review there. Thank you. Carbrera (talk) 23:07, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi Carbrera...
Hi @Carbrera: As you know, we have been doing a lot of good to some articles in the past, and I am willing to work with you more on future articles I submit However, there is one question/task I was wanting you to do, that if you have the time of course. Its regarding an article you reviewed, but you had to fail due to my busy schedule; the article is the Ami Suzuki song, "All Night Long". I was wondering if you could have a little jot over it again to see if there is anything I could do to improve it, in order to have it listed as a WP:Good article. The article was basically finished, only with very little touch ups needed for it. Cheers, CaliforniaDreamsFan (talk · contribs} 00:27, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
- @CaliforniaDreamsFan: Well I would be happy to look over it again, just nominate it and then I'll read through everything again. However, I will not put it on my GA Cup resumé as it'll need minimal changes compared to the first time you nominated it. Thanks! I also enjoy working with you, Carbrera (talk) 00:36, 17 April 2016 (UTC).

Make Me Like You
Hello Carbrera: The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Make Me Like You has been completed.
You will notice that I archived one the article’s citations (#1). I suggest that you archive the rest of the URLs as time allows. This ensures that the article's references are available "forever" and that it doesn’t develop “dead links” over time. The site I use is https://archive.org/web/. Simply copy the URL in the citation and paste it in the box on the archive.org site and click save. This creates a copy of the original page and provides you with a new URL to add to the original citation. If you look at the URL I've archived you'll see the syntax. You add the new URL to the end of the original citation like this: |archiveurl= http etc|archivedate=13 February 2015}}. Not all websites allow archiving - CBS TV news and the NY Times are two I've come across, so there's not much you can do about that unless there is an alternate citation you could use.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind regards, Twofingered Typist (talk) 13:05, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading File:Ivy – Disappointed.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. Outstanding GA reviews
Carbrera, I was very surprised to see that you just claimed a new GAN to review, Talk:Acquacotta/GA1, given that you already have seven open yet untouched reviews that are as much as four weeks old. Perhaps you should consider holding off opening any additional reviews until your backlog has been reduced much further, so nominators, many of whom have been waiting for months, don't have to suffer further delays. Right now you have the following that need your attention:
- April 2: Talk:I Got a Boy (song)/GA1
- April 5: Talk:1938–39 Oregon Webfoots men's basketball team/GA1
- April 7: Talk:HTC First/GA1
- April 10: Talk:Reed v. Town of Gilbert/GA1
- April 10: Talk:Duncan Robinson (basketball)/GA1
- April 11: Talk:Everett Strupper/GA1
- April 11: Talk:New England Patriots/GA1 — this is currently the oldest existing nomination, and has been waiting for over eight months
I think it's great that you've been so enthusiastically reviewing GA nominations, and very much hope you don't burn out—your comment in the Reed v. Town of Gilbert review indicated that you were in danger of same. I'd imagine that reducing your backlog will help reduce the pressure on you, as well as the other benefits. Best of luck in the GA Cup! BlueMoonset (talk) 18:11, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

2016 GA Cup-Round 3
Hello, GA Cup competitors! Thursday saw the end of Round 2. Sainsf once again took out Round 2 with an amazing score of 996 (a higher score then he received in Round 1!). In second place, MPJ-DK earned an astounding 541 points, and in third place, Carbrera received 419 points. In Round 2, 142 reviews were completed! At the beginning of April, there were 486 outstanding nominations in the GAN queue; by the end of Round 1, there were 384. Another demonstrable way in which this competition has made a difference is in the length of time articles languish in the queue. At the beginning of this GA Cup, the longest wait was over 9 months [1]; at the end of Round 2, the longest wait had decreased significantly, to a little over 5 months.[2] It's clear that we continue to make a difference at GAN and throughout Wikipedia, something we should all be proud of. Thanks to all our competitors for helping to make the GA Cup a continued success, and for your part in helping other editors improve articles. We hope to see all remaining users fighting it out in Round 3 so we can keep lowering the backlog as much as possible. To qualify for the third round, contestants had to earn the two highest scores in each of the four pools in Round 2; plus, one wildcard. We had an unusual occurrence happen in Round 2: because only one contestant submitted reviews in one pool, we selected the contestant with the next highest score to move forward to Round 3. (There will be a rule change for future competitions in case something like this happens again.) For Round 3, users were placed in 3 random pools of 3. To qualify for the Final of the 3rd Annual GA Cup, the top user in each pool will progress, and there will also be one wildcard. This means that the participant who comes in 4th place (all pools combined) will also move on. Round 3 will start on May 1 at 0:00:01 UTC and end on May 29 at 23:59:59 UTC. Information about Round 3 and the pools can be found here. Good luck and have fun! Cheers from Figureskatingfan, 3family6, Jaguar, MrWooHoo, and Zwerg Nase. To subscribe or unsubscribe to future GA Cup newsletter, please add or remove your name to our mailing list. If you are a participant still competing, you will be on the mailing list no matter what as this is the easiest way to communicate between all participants.

GA Cup-Round 3 Clarification
Hello, GA Cup competitors! It has been brought to our attention that we made a mistake in the last newsletter. In the last newsletter, we said that the "4th place" overall would make the Final along with the top user from each pool. However, the users who will advance will be the top user from each pool along with "4th and 5th place" overall. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion that we caused.

Hello Carbrera...
I Saw you removed the added track section on "Rave Un2 the Joy fantastic", why ? Because having both disks (and it's not some Outtake), is how I know the rare one exist. Please let me know if something needs to be added or explained.

ADDED; It appears to be the same as the 'Japanese edition' see "http://dawnation.com/menu2/ru2tjf.html". But the box is nearly identical to the normal release. I can provide pictures. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JanPT (talk • contribs) 21:52, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
