Userboxes
Kind of an odd thing to thank me for, but hey, just this afternoon I thanked someone for an edit on one of their own essays. Anyway, welcome to Wikipedia! I'm not in the userbox business anymore (not that I'm closed to starting up again; I just don't expect it to be a priority anytime soon), but I'm glad to see my work from years ago is still used. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shine (Gwen Stefani and Pharrell song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pop. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free rationale for File:GwenStefaniYummy.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:GwenStefaniYummy.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones (Talk) 00:21, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Randy to the Rescue
The article Randy to the Rescue has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable TV show. No evidence of awards, charting or in depth coverage in independent reliable sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stuartyeates (talk) 08:29, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at List of awards and nominations received by Madonna, you may be blocked from editing. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 10:01, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

- This is laughable. Please do not ruin my good name when you have been less than willing to have a decent conversation with me over content dispute. An admin definitely needs to review this information. Carbrera (talk) 18:23, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Reversion of edit to List of songs recorded by No Doubt
Hello. You recently created the article List of songs recorded by No Doubt which I converted into a redirect to the artist. You then undid my edit without any comment or summary. I am here to ask for the explanation that you did not provide there. Undoing another editors edit without explaining your actions in the edit summary can be perceived as rude. Please explain. Thanks. KDS4444Talk 03:07, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
- I just read your message on my talk page— guess I should have checked there first! My apologies for that, my mistake, sorry. I have some questions about this article for you which I will post here in a bit— please check back soon, ok? Thanks! KDS4444Talk 03:18, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
- @KDS4444: Of course! Thanks for being very understanding! Carbrera (talk) 05:54, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
- So I've been doing some looking around. The namespaces for List of songs by Mariah Carey and List of songs by Muddy Waters and List of songs by Selena Gomez (for starters) all seem to redirect to the corresponding artists (and there are no articles with the titles List of songs by Madonna, List of songs by Sting, or List of songs by Peter Gabriel — in light of this, I am not certain how No Doubt's list of songs qualifies it as notable independently of the group. If it does not, then a redirect to No Doubt seems the appropriate move, no? I understand you are passionate about this topic, which is, of course, great! Are you also passionate about Wikipedia being an encyclopedia? If so, can you make a case for how No Doubts list of songs qualifies it as notable outside of the artist? Thanks! KDS4444Talk 05:37, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- @KDS4444: I swear I replied to you a few days ago, but I guess I never did. I doubt a busy Wikipedian such as yourself would be waiting for my response, but I'm sorry if you were. I added my supposed theory/explanation to the talk page; you are welcome to take a look at it any time you please. Thanks! Carbrera (talk) 02:22, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

This is worth mentioning to you.
This may be quite late, but FYI, the hidden instructional notes you created here and here are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Hidden notes should lay out the rules for editing per various Wikipedia policies, not to tell people about a TV network's schedule. I hope you understand this. ElectricBurst(Electron firings)(Zaps) 18:13, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Electricburst1996: I only included those hidden notes due to people continually adding those programs back to the schedule without proper citations or links. Yes, I planned to remove them after the improper additions of them back to the schedule and yes, I forgot to remove them so thank you. Carbrera (talk) 18:40, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Lucydoesntloveyou.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Lucydoesntloveyou.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:05, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
Fair use
Thank you for uploading File:Ihatedecember.jpg. I saw you tagged it with a fair use copyright tag. Howevever, as the tag says, a detailed non-free use rationale is required by policy to explain why and ensure that the image is fair use. Note that without a fair use rationale the image is liable to be deleted. Fortunately in the case of CD covers there is a convenient template to add one, which I used on your upload here. Please remember to include such a rationale in the future. Thanks, BethNaught (talk) 09:20, 22 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Singles vs. EPs
Before I start editing any of your recent Ivy pages and additions, please check the definition of extended play here on Wikipedia. "This Is the Day" and "You Don't Know Anything" are 3-track singles with two B-sides each, not EPs. Lately is an EP. These are not.
Standard Wikipedia practice on discographies is to consider extended plays as releases with four or more songs of equal importance:
Single definition according to Wikipedia: "Despite being referred to as a single, singles can include up to as many as three tracks on them. The biggest digital music distributor iTunes accepts as many as three tracks less than ten minutes each as a single, as well as popular music player Spotify also following in this trend.[1] Anymore than three tracks on a musical release or longer than thirty minutes in total running time is commonly classed as an Extended Play."
EP definition according to Wikipedia: "Beginning in the 1980s, many so-called "singles" have been sold in formats with more than two tracks. Because of this, the definition of an EP is not determined only by the number of tracks or the playing time; an EP is typically seen as four (or more) tracks of equal importance, as opposed to a four-track single with an obvious A-side and three B-sides."
Please revise the articles accordingly.Greg Fasolino (talk) 17:38, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Greg Fasolino: I am very well aware what the difference is between a single and an EP. However, the official website for Ivy even states that this is an EP and not a CD single. Doesn't that take presedence? I believe it does. Carbrera (talk) 06:31, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- No, singles and EPs are formally defined by Wikipedia (as well as Billboard, the official record charts of various countries, etc), and are listed that way throughout all music articles and discographies. In casual parlance, a 3-track single could be termed an EP, but that's not the official designation as a format. If I release a 2-page short story and call it a "novel," it is still going to be listed in format as a short story. A TV series episode is not going to be listed as a feature film no matter the director calls it. I gave you the official definitions to allow you to make the needed changes yourself. Please do so, thank you. Greg Fasolino (talk) 14:05, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- For what it's worth (remembering that actual definitions as used on Wiki and in real-world charting take precedence over stylized terms), the official Ivy site lists those 3-track CD singles under BOTH EPs and CD Singles. It is not our job to compound that error, or worse, to choose the incorrect of the two options that they both list. Greg Fasolino (talk) 14:10, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Holdtightmadonna.png
Thanks for uploading File:Holdtightmadonna.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 11:27, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

This Is What the Truth Feels Like
Hi, I moved the page because the name of the album was wrong. I didn't know it was possible to simply change the name. I'm sorry if it came off rude or unnecessary, but does it really matter who created the page? Do you get something for that? I certainly don't care if I get credited for creating the page. Katycat3567 (talk) 00:07, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Katycat3567: To me, it does matter who created the page. I take pride in starting a Wikipedia article, so I was disappointed to see my hard work plagiarized onto a new article. I welcome you to join the Teahouse, where new Wikipedia members, such as yourself, to learn about editing in a friendly and interactive environment. I found it very helpful when I started editing and so I pass it on to you. One other reminder; personal preference is generally frowned upon when editing Wikipedia. I noticed one of your explanations for recent edits on This Is What the Truth Feels Like contained said preference. The album cover posted is preferred (by Wikipedia) and will be used until a cover without the sticker is revealed. No hard feelings, welcome to Wikipedia! Carbrera (talk) 03:22, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
Cheap Thrills
Why are you so convinced that Cheap Thrills isn't the next single from This Is Acting? A remix was released. Any time a remix is released, it is always indicative that it is the next single. Katycat3567 (talk) 23:19, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Katycat3567: Not true. Not true at all. Gwen Stefani released a remix of "The Real Thing" in 2005, but it was never released a single, because a remix release indicates no such release. Where can I find a source stating that "any time a remix is released, it is always indicative that it is the next single"? This violates WP:NOR. If confirmation comes from a record label or authorized official, my edits will be reverted immediately. Carbrera (talk) 23:22, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
- Ok, that may be true. However, I have included a reference that it is indeed a single now. So please stop. Katycat3567 (talk) 23:26, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Katycat3567: The reference only states that a remix has been released. Plenty of songs available on iTunes have " - Single" included after the title. This only verifies that the track can be purchased separately. Carbrera (talk) 23:28, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

- Here is a direct quote from the site proving that it is indeed a single: "In a move we can't imagine anyone asking for, Sean Paul is now featured on the radio edit for the second single off Sia's new album, This is Acting." Now, will you please STOP? Or do I have to report you? Katycat3567 (talk) 23:33, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Katycat3567: Did you copy that quote from Perez Hilton? A gossip site? What about waiting until several users wait for consensus? Does that seem fair? Carbrera (talk) 23:36, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

- Perez Hilton isn't a gossiper. Well... maybe a little bit, but he wouldn't say it was the second single if it wasn't. Katycat3567 (talk) 23:43, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

- @Katycat3567: But that still doesn't make his site a good source. Carbrera (talk) 23:44, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
- Please just let this go. I'm not sure why you're making it your personal mission to make sure this doesn't get confirmed, but it has been. Katycat3567 (talk) 23:46, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Katycat3567: Where's the confirmation? You've yet to provide a good source that Wikipedia will accept. My personal opinion doesn't decide whether or not it's a single or not. The confirmation does. Carbrera (talk) 23:47, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

Katycat, Carbrera is right. There is a different between an official single and a promotional single. Please stop edit warring. Reporting Carbrera will only result in punishing yourself. Please edit talk pages if you want to discuss further. ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:07, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

- How can you say that you did nothing wrong, but I did? In my opinion, you did do something wrong. This would all just stop if you two would wake up and realize that it is the second single, whether you like it or not. Katycat3567 (talk) 00:19, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- Also, just another little thing I noticed, you say I have no right to delete things off your talk page, except Another Believer did too. Hmm... interesting... Katycat3567 (talk) 00:20, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Katycat3567: Here's what you can do if you're so sure it's a single:
- Provide a TRUSTWORTHY source on the article's talk page
- Stop reverting edits and blanking pages
- Resort to good faith edits

Truce
Can we please call a truce? I agreed that I won't add the song as a single until proper confirmation, however, I don't like being called a troll. If you're willing to call a truce, I am too. And then could you please remove this and the other sections? Katycat3567 (talk) 00:59, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

How did you see my edit? Do you see what the bot sees? --Potguru (talk) 04:34, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- I see edits on that page all the time. I regularly monitor the page's behavior. But no, I did not write the bot. Carbrera (talk) 04:36, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
Ray of Light was released on March 3
Search it on Google and it says March 3rd so stop saying it was released Feb 22. Theladyisgaga (talk) 21:31, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Theladyisgaga: It was released on February 22... in Japan! You list the first release date first, so you list the 22nd, not March 3rd. Please stop edit-warring. Carbrera (talk) 21:33, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
I am truly sorry
Sorry I didn't know but I always thought we put the official date Theladyisgaga (talk) 21:36, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- February 22 is the official date. The official release date is not always the US release date. No need to apologize. Carbrera (talk) 21:37, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

Misery
Hi, please stop saying that Misery is a single. FYI, "buzz single" means the same thing as "promo single". Clearly you're a big Gwen fan, who is obsessed with Misery being a single. Personally, I'd like to see it be a single as well, but the source you gave indicates that it is going to be a promo single, not the next single from TIWTTFL. Until you can provide a source saying that it IS the third single, you need to keep it as a promo single. Thank you. 50.153.88.20 (talk) 17:15, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- A buzz single is usually a single that leads up to or accompanied an album release. Buzz does not translate to promo, unless proper citation is provided. By the way, my personal preference doesn't determine what Gwen's next single is, so stop saying that. Carbrera (talk) 17:18, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- I just typed "buzz single definition" into google, and the first thing that popped up was the wikipedia page for "promotional recordings." If that doesn't show you you're wrong, I don't know what will. 50.153.88.20 (talk) 17:20, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- Here's wikipedia's very own definition for a buzz single. It says promotional recording in it: "In music, a buzz single or advance single is a track or promotional song, released by the label (typically) preceding the album's release. The song(s) are released in order to bring attention to an album's release." 50.153.88.20 (talk) 17:21, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- First of all, thank you for changing it to a promo single. However, I find it very shady that when you described "buzz single", you literally said everything I said EXCEPT the promotional recording part, which was my point. Is that how you act on Wikipedia? You quote only certain parts of things to get your way? If so, I may have to report that. 50.153.94.20 (talk) 19:51, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- Wait, are we still taking about this? I thought this conversation was done long ago. If you're trying to start something, I don't want any part of it. Carbrera (talk) 21:40, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- You don't want any part of it because you know you were wrong. But yes, we can be done with this. Just don't only quote certain parts of sentences net time. Thank you. 50.153.84.12 (talk) 22:14, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not wrong. Literally, I saw a source that said "third single from...", but the sources that said it was a 'buzz' single outweighed the others. And, I didn't quote anything; what are you getting at? All I did was state that not always is a 'buzz' single a promotional single. So, please stop with the threats and the tips. They are not needed at this time. Carbrera (talk) 22:23, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- Threats? What threats? Quote me. Also, you know what I'm talking about. You took the quote from wikipedia, but left out that it was a "promo single", because you knew that would prove I was right. It doesn't matter, I'm over it. However, I don't like that you accused me of threatening you. I never did that, and if I did, tell me what I said that was threatening. 50.153.84.12 (talk) 22:57, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- You know what I love? The fact that you know I didn't threaten you, but you had the audacity to report me for that. You're an awful person, and I know I'm going to get banned, but you've got issues, man. You get your little panties in a twist every time someone disagrees with you. Get over yourself. You have an unsafe obsession with Gwen, and that's just weird. Snugglebear123 (talk) 23:19, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- You've continually disobeyed the rules here several times, and I'm disappointed that through each time you don't learn. Regardless of whether you think my so-called "obsession" is unsafe or not is beyond me. Don't be so obvious next time you create a sock, thanks. Carbrera (talk) 23:20, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- And you shouldn't be so obvious that you might as well be stalking Gwen. What is it with you and her anyway? She will NEVER notice you. You're just a weird person who gets butthurt anytime someone disagrees with them, because HEAVEN FORBID! Snugglebear123 (talk) 23:25, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- That's your opinion. I'll take it as a compliment. Have a good day! Carbrera (talk) 23:26, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- Snort. That wasn't a compliment. Oh, and I just LOVE how you report me, and then tell me to have a nice day. Yeah, well guess what? You're an awful person. Have a nice day! Snugglebear123 (talk) 23:34, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- To each their own. Learn how to properly edit Wikipedia and then I'll gladly discuss editing with you. Your insults don't hurt me, they just worsen your case. The investigation has been filed; it's sad to see how little you listen on here. See ya soon, Carbrera (talk) 23:36, 8 March 2016 (UTC).
