Bruno Mars singles
[edit]I see you edit Bruno related articles a lot. I checked his discography and there are a bunch of singles that are not his releases as a main act, but they are classified “As lead artist” just because of the trending way of commercially releasing songs without the ‘featuring’ mark. I think it gotta be fixed with his releases only staying there, and the other ones being moved to a proper section. Right now it looks complete, but pretty messy still ThisIs00k (talk) 14:34, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- That's way you have two table one his featured singles and the other one is solo and co-lead (Silk Sonic, etc). Its not a trend, it means they both share the same credit, It should be included in the lead of both artist. Please do not change that, it would be classified as vandalism MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 16:01, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- You clearly are not getting the point. For example, “APT” is a song where he has made an appearance on. It's not HIS song. He's credited that way because of the commercial trends of releasing songs on the streaming era, but that's not a song where he's the lead artist. It's not going to end up on his album, it's not released on his official platforms like YouTube etc. Same for the Gucci Mane track, or the Cardi B etc. Those are featured appearances released in a different form, but that doesn't change the fact of them being featurings. I'm discussing it with you before taking it to the page, oh and btw WP: vandalism says otherwise. You're not fooling me with these tricks, please get to the point ThisIs00k (talk) 16:46, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Does it say feature? No, its separated by a comma, so they share lead artist credit. He sings as much as Rose. A lyric video is on his YouTube channel. Do whatever you want, don't say I didn't warned you after you getting everything reverted. Not sure what you argument is here. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 16:57, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- This is a single then, because it says single ThisIs00k (talk) 17:20, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- That's a song. Please read Wikipedia:Singles criteria. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 17:30, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- I read it, the song was referred to as a single by the record label releasing it on Apple Music as such, and was released commercially independent of an album. I'll add it as a single to the page ThisIs00k (talk) 17:47, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- You didn't red the all thing. That song was never promoted to RADIO, I can pick any song from the album and buy it individually and Apple Music will ALWAYS call it a single. Please don't do so, it will be reverted. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 17:55, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- It's a banger though ThisIs00k (talk) 14:36, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- That's beside the point. You should familiarize yourself with criteria before making any major changes to articles, mainly if they have achieved GA or FA status. Nevertheless, if you take a look at other discographies they all look like these. Moreover, its not only a trend since it benefits both performers more than if X or Y was a featured singer.
