request for review: Mindy Carlin
Hello Atlantic. You've been helpful in the past as I am working on my skills with Wikipedia. I joined the Wikiproject: Women in Red and have written three bios on women. One was just proposed for deletion. I'd appreciate your take on this; could you take a look at it? Mindy Carlin. She is a local/state level lobbyist/public administration industry person. I totally understand she may not be as notable as someone like a first lady but she has won many awards from various chamber's of commerce and is also mentioned in many different sources. Thank you very much! Thsmi002 (talk) 05:46, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
Update: I've done many changes, both adding and deleting information. I want to remove any language that is not encyclopedic in nature to ensure it is not advertorial or promotional. Could you take a look at Mindy Carlin and see what you think?
Thank you for your responses. Since your last response, I uncovered several "meatier" sources where Carlin is more "featured" and cited as interacting with other people that have Wikipedia pages (primarily state and county level politicians). I was surprised that as I was adding these changes, it was nominated for AfD. I am not sure what sparked that change because I thought I was improving the article. Could you take a look? - Hello, as per your words I have removed 2 awards(due to non available reference) and placed other awards references except the first one. For 1st awards (Amelia Bloomer List) I have a wordpress reference (https://ameliabloomer.wordpress.com/2006-amelia-bloomer-list/). Is this reference is valid as per wiki norms? If yes then I will place it as a reference. Please suggest me and share your feedback. Have a nice day. Sudeshroul (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 10:29, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- (by talk page stalker) @Sudeshroul: Normally we would refuse a blog per WP:SPS but Amelia Bloomer Project might be notable, which is an exception to that rule abut blogs. Also, I found this, this, this, and this. You can develop this draft further if you search more extensively and write about her as an author based on what you can find. I'm not certain she can pass WP:NAUTHOR but you stand an outside chance of meeting WP:GNG. Build the draft as best as possible to help your chances. Chris Troutman (talk) 11:03, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Hotel barges
Greetings. Not sure where my comments were posted, this is just a reminder that I would be grateful for further consideration of the general interest merits of the hotel barge articles on Finesse and Grand Cru, with a view to removal of the speedy deletion notice. Editing Belmond hotel barges yesterday, I was struck by how much more identifiable as publicity that article was. And quite a few of the earlier hotel barge descriptions, posted by their respective owners. Thank you for your time. David-waterways (talk) 08:23, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, the articles need to be referenced to WP:Reliable sources without sales links and you have a coi with the waterway system so they are likely to be seen as advertising, thanks Atlantic306 (talk) 15:49, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
Thank you, I have only just seen this. I contest the coi with 'the waterway system'. What is that supposed to mean? A lifetime of involvement in and writing about inland waterways and all the activities they support gives credibility and authority to address the subject, as proven in many edits. All the original hotel barge posts were by the operators themselves, and generally offered links into their websites. I have no link to any operator. I request recovery of the two articles you have deleted. If you prefer, these could be reactivated as drafts, where they can receive further attention from me before moving back to mainspace. In particular, I suggest removing the link to the barge owner's website, while leaving the link to french-waterways.com, because information is effectively expanded on this site, where no other non-commercial source describing the barge is available. Thanks for your attention David-waterways (talk) 15:50, 26 November 2017 (UTC) Jimmy, greetings again. The edits of Saint Louis (hotel barge) in July were reverted for 'insufficient information to support the changes'. I don't agree! Also, some of the edits were literally tidying up and improving aspect, style and structure (as with many other articles). I'd be grateful for your thoughts so as not the repeat the operation aimlessly. Once again, no link to the owner, and I declare that there is no COI. Thanks David-waterways (talk) 14:28, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi Atlantic306, can you take a look at the Dominic Zapata article. According to the history, you recently removed a large amount of text as too promotional, but then re-added some. Well the text you removed but didn't re-add, which appears to be the promotional text was re-added by the same editor. I was after trying to clean it up, stuff like puffery when I noticed the history. This time included references but they were just to other Wikipedia articles, facebook, imdb, nothing reliable. I thought maybe you could see if it should just be removed before I edit anything else. Thanks. Cmr08 (talk) 02:46, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

Edakkad Battalion 06 run time
You indicate that one of the Times of India references indicate the run time for this movie. Forgive me, but I'm not seeing it. This ref makes no mention of run time at all, and this ref makes no claim of 99 minutes, and only vaguely refers to the run time...nothing specific. Do you have a ref that indicates 99 minutes? --Hammersoft (talk) 23:48, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
(We can keep conversation in one place) --Hammersoft (talk) 01:33, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, this source here shows the running time at the top. Ive noticed you have been removing unsourced running times, I don't think that it is constructive. There are even a number of featured articles that do not have the running time sourced. Wouldn't it be better to add a cn tag rather than remove it? Atlantic306 (talk) 00:03, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for correcting it with the source to 122 minutes. On removal; there is a a vandal who is running rampant on Indian movies, changing/adding run times that are deliberately false. The vandal has been account hopping for quite some time, and seems determined to make as many wrong entries as possible. I do conduct searches to see if I can find a run time, but generally these are unavailable. My search here didn't turn one up rapidly. Thank you for finding one. This helps too, as now if the vandal hits this article again we have a verifiable source that proves the run time. Note that in this case the vandal did intentionally add a wrong run time, as proven by the cite you found. Thanks again, --Hammersoft (talk) 01:33, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks, will look out for them as I have a number of Indian movies on my watchlist, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 18:20, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi there, could you also look into Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The God of Wealth and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Good Wealth 2020 and give your comments? Thank you so much. (For others: This is not an endorsing talk) --User:LoveFromBJM (User talk:LoveFromBJM)
- I go through all the film articles for deletion anyway, my next run will be tomorrow, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 21:51, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
Translation checking
The tag is not (just) for possible errors in English. It's actually more so because the article was translated from another language, and factual errors could have been introduced in the translation. Spelling errors are generally spotted and corrected sufficiently quickly anyway. See this archived AN discussion. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 05:13, 8 October 2020 (UTC)
Re: Made for You
Hello, Atlantic306. Made for You seems like a textbook G14 case, since it's a disambiguation page that "disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages." Even if you think it's useful, that's policy, no? -- Wikipedical (talk) 21:03, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- Well i'll replace the tag but it was created by a very experienced user and i've seen similar cases kept at AFD, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 21:05, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- The page disambiguates three distinct topics covered in three extant Wikipedia pages. There's no requirement for the topic disambiguated to have an entire article of its own, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Disambiguation pages#Items appearing within other articles. – Uanfala (talk) 21:36, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- User:Uanfala, the MOS section you linked to would be relevant regarding a disambiguation page that also links to at least two articles entitled Made for You (if only one, then it should be a redirect). G14 specifically forbids disambiguation pages that link to zero extant articles, even if there are relevant sections/"topics" on other pages. Made for You links to zero extant articles and is a textbook example of a page that should be speedily deleted under G14. -- Wikipedical (talk) 22:25, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- Whether any article with the name exists or not, is not relevant. Feel free to ask for more opinions at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Disambiguation pages or WT:DAB. – Uanfala (talk) 22:32, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- User:Uanfala, the MOS section you linked to would be relevant regarding a disambiguation page that also links to at least two articles entitled Made for You (if only one, then it should be a redirect).

Tibetan people
Hi, I've reverted your edit on Tibetan people because my edits were based on the content published in the source. I stated in my edit summary that I have "expanded from the source" but I guess that was not clear. The information I added is stated in the source and I just took that information from the source and added it to the article. I hope this makes sense. Please, ignore my new edit summary. I looked back at my previous edit summary and I can see why it was "unclear/dubious". (2001:8003:5C28:6700:B5AD:BAAE:FE78:EA5 (talk) 12:23, 18 October 2020 (UTC))
Waiting
Draft:Emiway Bantai (rapper) has been waiting for review for 7-8 days. Please review. TechToker (talk) 09:04, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- TechToker, Have you read the notice at the top of the draft? There are a large number of articles waiting for review, please be patient. Badgering reviewers is counter-productive as it just leads to EVERYONE badgering reviewers. Please wait, be patient, it will get reviewed. Wikipedia isn't a race, there is no deadline.
