Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on List of Alien morphs in the Alien franchise requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. buidhe 02:19, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Yeet (slang) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a dictionary.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Largoplazo (talk) 22:57, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This definition already exists on Wiktionary, at wikt:yeet -- 65.94.171.6 (talk) 08:39, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, and the disambiguation page yeet has a Wiktionary link that 65.94.171.6 identified to the right. So, because of that, I don't think we need a Wiktionary soft redirect and, instead, I have redirected yeet (slang) to yeet. Doug Mehus T·C 01:01, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Yeet (slang)" listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Yeet (slang). Since you had some involvement with the Yeet (slang) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. Largoplazo (talk) 03:07, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have a response.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 22:49, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Politics (Discord Server) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Note

[edit]
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Uyghurs, Uyghur genocide, or topics that are related to Uyghurs or Uyghur genocide. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose discretionary sanctions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited A.J.'s Time Travelers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John White. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:06, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Free Soil Party

[edit]

They were not "abolitionist" in the sense of demanding, or having plans, for the federal government to act against slavery within the slave states -- something which was beyond the powers of the federal government according to the U.S. constitution at that time. AnonMoos (talk) 18:30, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. However I still think the link would be better as Anti-slavery rather than anti-Slavery. A. Rosenberg (talk) 19:38, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As far as officially-adopted policies, the party was mainly against the expansion of the area in which slavery existed. A large number of party members considered slavery to be morally deplorable, but the party made no promises about abolishing slavery within the existing slave states. They didn't call themselves "abolitionists", partly because there was less political support for abolitionism than for free soil, but also because William Lloyd Garrison etc would have laughed them to scorn. Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Anamnesis (philosophy). Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. A primary source of the midrash in question is not a reliable source, all claims on wikipedia should be supported by a secondary source, in this case likely a published academic work on Plato and Judaism. - car chasm (talk) 00:09, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
