Information icon Hello, I'm Apaugasma. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Alevism, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 22:55, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Might input the infos later with sources, but some of this stuff is mentioned in this same article, just tried to make it more coherent Akhshartag (talk) 23:04, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, just be sure to mention in your edit summary which sources in the text the changes you are making are based on, and never add something you just happen to know but for which no source is cited. This can be dreary at times, and often articles are left worse because of it, but strict verifiability rules are really essential to make this project work. Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 23:10, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What about things which don't really require a source? For example, because ali already is one of the twelve imams, i changed it to "prophets and messengers" so it reads better, how would I find a source for that specifically? It seems kind of apparent Akhshartag (talk) 23:14, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Changing a reference to Ali to a reference to the prophets and messengers in Islam fundamentally changes the meaning, and so should not be done if you're not directly summarizing a different source which does mention the prophets and messengers instead of Ali. On the other hand, a reference to "Ali and the twelve Imams" could be changed to "Ali and the other eleven Shi'i Imams" without changing the source, because here there is no change in meaning.
It's often very difficult to find a source for something one already knows. A much better and recommended way to work is to read a reliable source, and then make changes to the Wikipedia article based on it. Don't start from what you know, start from reading a specific source. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 23:21, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Rakesh Narwani moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Rakesh Narwani, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 09:54, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.—Ermenrich (talk) 12:47, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Theseus, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Phaedra and Aethra. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:00, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deity equivalencies

[edit]

I recommend you read this recent discussion at WT:CGR to gain an understanding of the current consensus on what is required before adding deity equivalencies to infoboxes. – Michael Aurel (talk) 13:27, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Arab Christian saints category

[edit]

Hello, I have noticed that you have added the "Arab Christian saints" category to a multitude of pages of Saints from various countries in the Middle East/West Asia without backing up these claims. Please be aware that not only Arabs are present in these regions as many other ethnic groups such as Syrians (in a historical context referring to Arameans/native Levantines), Maronites, Assyrians, Greeks, Copts and others inhabit or inhabited these areas as well. If you wish to add information regarding the ethnicity of a Saint please provide a source when doing so. Red Phoenician (talk) 02:34, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Pbritti (talk) 23:32, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

Isaac Attallah moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Isaac Attallah. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability, it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and several issues with copyright violation of https://orthochristian.com/140813.html. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 10:15, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
