A big misinformation which misleads the world
Asalamualaikum, I am approaching this through your talk page because it needs attention by fellow editors too.
Problem
The article or biography of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) have a misleading in its first paragraph. I would update it but it is not a small issue. It needs more reliable references. Muhammad s.a.w was not founder of Islam as we know and believe. Islam was founded from Adam a.s's time.
Suggestion/Solution
We need to find highly reliable references from books or links available online, because I don't know how to get it online. I have many references but offline.
This is the matter of consideration. Kindly ask other editors who edits Islamic pages and improve the misinformation. Thank You. The Chunky urf Al Kashmiri (Speak🗣️ or Write✍️)09:01, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- @AaqibAnjum: bro Can I get reply on this issue? — The Chunky urf Al Kashmiri (Speak🗣️ or Write✍️)11:15, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- There is no requirement for reliable sources to be online.-- Toddy1 (talk) 11:24, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Toddy1: Yes. What to do now about this issue? — The Chunky urf Al Kashmiri (Speak🗣️ or Write✍️)12:27, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Reliable sources starts off by saying that "Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published sources, making sure that all majority and significant minority views that have appeared in those sources are covered". So the question is: what do reliable sources say? The talk page of the article you want to modify would be a good place to raise this.
- @Toddy1: Yes. What to do now about this issue? — The Chunky urf Al Kashmiri (Speak🗣️ or Write✍️)12:27, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- Sometimes looking at other articles can help to provide a model for how a Wikipedia article should handle an issue. For example, the Christian equivalent of Wahhabism is, I think, the Church of England. In the same way that Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab tried to get back to true Islam, so people in 16th and early 17th Century England tried to get back to true Christianity. So ask yourself how does the article on the Church of England handle the issue of who founded (a) Christianity and (b) the Church of England?
- Please note that the article on the Church of England does not say that Abraham, Moses and Jesus were all Church of England. They may well have been, but it is not generally accepted.-- Toddy1 (talk) 13:35, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- Dear friend TheChunky, Thanks for bringing this issue to my notice. We as Muslims believe Rasulullah (SAW) to be the Last Prophet of Allah Ta'ala and Islam as a religion which originated from the very beginning of the world with Hazrat Adam. However, I'm not an expert on Seerah studies that much. I have books of Shibli Nomani, Syed Sulaiman Nadwi and Muhammad Idris Kandhlawi on the issue and can help with more sources. Pinging GorgeCustersSabre, Hindustanilanguage and M Imtiaz for further response. - Aaqib Anjum Aafī (talk) 15:27, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- Assalamu alaikum all, hope you are doing well. Per WP:NPOV, we need to maintain a balance between what secular scholarship states (that Rasulullah ﷺ founded Islam) and the Muslim view; it would be unwise to state the latter as fact, in my opinion, for similar reasons to what Toddy1 describes. I was reading the article on Hajj yesterday, and it uses the phrasing
The Hajj is associated with the life of Islamic prophet Muhammad from the 7th century AD, but the ritual of pilgrimage to Mecca is considered by Muslims to stretch back thousands of years to the time of Abraham.
I think it would be nice if we could come up with something similar.I have several seerah books at my disposal, including both traditional ones such as Ar-Raheeq al-Makhtoum and more modern ones like Revelation by Meraj Mohiuddin, but none of them contain the information that we are looking for here; this makes sense given that Seerah books traditionally seem to start at Ibrahim (عليه السلام).I also didn't find any sources online that stated directly that Adam (عليه السلام) was the founder of Islam. However, there are plenty of sources that describe him as the first Nabi, e.g. here and here. Therefore, I propose we add a sentence such as the following:
Thoughts? M Imtiaz (talk · contribs) 16:38, 7 June 2020 (UTC)However, Muslims consider Adam to have been the first prophet.[1]

- @M Imtiaz: walaikumsalam. I am not expert here. But my suggestion is that if there are less source about Adam a.s , but there are lots of sources that Muhammad s.a.w is last Prophet and Article Muhammad there is he was a prophet instead of a we can put last prophet with many sources. And also there would be about founder of Islam is Adam is in a book but I forget which book I read that time. You may know, this misinformation is in now IAS, in IAS if there would be Question who is founder of Islam. If we say about any prophet than Muhammad, they cut the marks in the exam. So think and reaserch more.— The Chunky urf Al Kashmiri (Speak🗣️ or Write✍️)21:20, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- TheChunky, that article's lede already contains the phrase
He is viewed as the final prophet of God in all the main branches of Islam
, which is about the closest that Wikipedia can come to presenting the Muslim view without compromising NPOV. This was sort of my point in my earlier message: if we can find a way to qualify the statement that Adam (عليه السلام) founded Islam so that it is clear that this is solely the Muslim, rather than universal, opinion, that is fine. The issue arises when we make that statement in Wikipedia's voice without any such clarification or attribution. Best, M Imtiaz (talk · contribs) 23:36, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

- My personal view is that lets accept the Muslim and non-Muslim views in the article. It will be probably safe to write something like this:
As per the recorded history, Prophet Muhammad was the founder of Islam. However, Muslims across the world believe that Adam was the first Prophet and also the founder of Islam. --Hindustanilanguage (talk) 08:18, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Priya Banerjee
Dear friend. السلام عليكم و رحمة الله تعالى وبركاته. I hope you are fine. I happen to edit a few TV And film actor and actress pages, not because I am interested in them (I’m not) but because they quickly become adoring fan pages. Can you please take a look at the Priya Banerjee page. One editor continuously adds unreferenced information. Thank you. Best wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 10:37, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Reply to your revertion on my last edit
asslamuakim. It's wise_man 132.I was just thinking of contacting you. actually I am quite a new user to Wikipedia. So I haven't got much experience with editing. I am trying to learn skills that would be helpful in improving articles. I have got a lot of content to improve articles related to debadisim. I need your help in doing so. It would be of great help to me if u get me your email address so that I can contact you further.I am not sure if this is the right place to write such a message. Regarding the reversion, I performed the edit because the same sentence was being repeated twice.its already mentioned in the intro that the Jama masjid is the headquarters of the shura faction. Well done with your latest addition to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Khadim ahlesunnah waljamaah. It was a good spot. It also had the side benefit that some other blocked sockpuppets got correctly correctly labelled by Bbb23.

unreview
Could you please explain the unreview you wrote about here? Praxidicae (talk) 17:13, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Praxidicae: I think that's the unpatroll I marked at the userpage of User:Faster than fairies — I thought that since it was an account of a sock puppet, there's no necessity to keep it as "patrolled". The message went to the admin who blocked this user Yesterday. Didn't meant to send the text to him and I've undid that with a edit note. Please let me know if I did anything wrong by marking User:Faster than fairies as unreviewed. Thanks. - Aaqib Anjum Aafī (talk) 17:21, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

Centre of Muslims
As-Salam O Alaikum! Brother,
I recently created Wikiproject Centre of Muslims. It is created to improve the articles about places with more than 80% of Muslim Population. After sometime the percentage could be reduced to 50% (places with majority Muslim Population). Similar wikiprojects are working like in the case of [Australia], The only difference is that their scope is countrywide and scope of this Wikiproject is larger, i.e Muslim World.
It was put on Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Centre of Muslims because of solo participant. Someone also asked that "Would Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam be interested in this project as a Geography task force?" and I think that Centre of Muslims project should be merged with Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam's Geography task force. Can you please guide me regarding this?
Thank You in anticipation! --Muhammadahmad79 (talk) 16:11, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

- 169.149.32.23, firstly the article is created by Kabristan1 who has been blocked as a sock puppet. Secondly, it adds ayaat from Quran and many ahadith which don't belong to it. It would amount to misinterpretation. Thirdly, in Islamic terminology we don't mean "India" by term "Hind", rather it is a much vast term. Lastly, it fails WP:MOS and MOS:Islam altogether. - Aaqib Anjum Aafī (talk) 12:59, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

Question on Draft:K Madhava Sarma
Kindly provide clarification on the change to be made to the draft as per the comment: Wikipedia cannot accept material copied from elsewhere, unless it explicitly and verifiably has been released to the world under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license or into the public domain and is written in an acceptable tone—this includes material that you own the copyright to. You should attribute the content of a draft to outside sources, using citations, but copying and pasting or closely paraphrasing sources is not acceptable. The entire draft should be written using your own words and structure. Thank you. Shrutip2493 (talk) 16:50, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Shrutip2493: it means that you need to write the article in your own words. The entire note is there. Thanks. - Aaqib Anjum Aafī (talk) 17:00, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

The content of this submission includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations.! ??
The above has been mentioned by you on the draft I submitted. All the guidelines of wiki have been strictly adhered while preparing the draft. I do not see the reason cited by you as legitimate. Other than any particular biases you hold for rejecting the draft. There are enough citations in the footnote of the draft. Will look forward to your reply. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AK8620 (talk • contribs)
- AK8620,
There are enough citations in the footnote of the draft
is pretty much exactly the issue: while citations are present at the bottom, they are not found in many parts of the article body, so we cannot tell which source supports which information. As this is a biography of a living person, it is paramount that we do not include any information in articles that cannot be directly supported by a source; in this case, it is difficult to prove which facts are supported and which are not. The file File:Mazahir Uloom.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Copy from facebook (see metadata).
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}

Pending changes
With this edit you re-added vandalism that the IP was cleaning up. If you do a quick search, you'll see that Jansson's still playing, so that bit about his having retired was wrong. Even without that, the sentence 'Continued his bottle boy auto moving from Leeds United to Brentford' is odd enough that it should raise questions. Please be careful when you're reviewing pending changes. Thanks. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 12:52, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
Image source problem with File:Mukhtasar Sawaneh Aimma Arbah by Qazi Athar Mubarakpuri.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Mukhtasar Sawaneh Aimma Arbah by Qazi Athar Mubarakpuri.jpg.
This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.
If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:11, 9 August 2020 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Re: Jeffrey Jonathan
Hi Aaqib Anjum, You had declined my article on Jeffrey Jonathan stating that the article reads like an advertisement, does not have reliable source and questioning it's notability. I couldn't understand how you came to that conclusion. The article was written with a neutral point of view but it might have sounded like an advertisement because there isn't critical articles out there on the internet on this person. But I have done some edits, meaning removed some parts of the article. About the reliability of the sources, the citations I have provided are from some of the country's top English daily newspapers. These are The Hindu, Times of India and Deccan Chronicle. They are independent, highly reputable and verifiable sources. I just don't understand why you questioned the reliability of the citations. Please note that none of what I wrote was just made up. They are paraphrased from the sources and properly cited. About notability, a simple google search would show that this person appears on the front page of the search results with a photo of his and a description along with links to his musical works. Would you please elaborate more on the reason why you had declined the article? It would be helpful. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Srshs88 (talk • contribs) 14:39, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Srshs88: Please see WP:TONE and WP:NPOV to know how you can improve the draft. I did not declined it for lack of sources but because of its advert style. Fix it after going through WP:TONE and WP:NPOV and then resubmit it. Thanks - Aaqib Anjum Aafī (talk) 14:59, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Content Deletion / Redirects on Multiple JNV Articles
Hi, just wanted to ask you why the individual articles on JNV-related schools were blanked and redirected to a more generic list article when the individual articles were more helpful. Also, no reason has been provided in the edit summary of any such page. The list article says nothing about the school as such, individual articles were more helpful to people. There are no notability issues either. Could you kindly clarify, ir revert them because there are too many and it would be very tedious to perform undo action on each article. Thanks. — The Ultimate Let's Talk 06:07, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
- The Ultimate, Dear friend, individually these schools fail WP:NSCHOOL and WP:GNG – and myself being a Navodayan, I understand this thing. Secondly, a number of these articles were redirected as a result of AfD discussion. If you can let anyone pass WP:GNG or WP:NSCHOOL – you may remove redirect tag from them.. But generally schools & highschools in India aren't notable individually. Cheers. ─ The Aafī (talk) 06:11, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Page mover granted
Hello, TheAafi. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

Hi, I noticed that you closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Geek Maggot Bingo as keep almost four hours early. While that's not a big deal, you should be very careful to avoid doing so in the future. Seven days is a very deliberate time, and there's no point in closing early--it only allows for people to yell at you. If you were closing per WP:SNOW, you should have mentioned it. Requesting help on Article of Melissa B.
Hello TheAafi, You recently just marked an article I have been working on for weeks now. You made marks that I have close ties to this subject and I do not. I have been researching this artist as I see no on has given this artist the proper page creation. I did alot of research on other artists who's pages are on Wikipedia. That's how I was able to give a very neutral point of view. About the reliability of the sources, the citation I have provided are form some of the newspapers and cited places that are approved in Wiki. For example the artist does have an All Music page, Discogs for the music catalog. I just don't understand why you question the reliability of the citations. Please know this artist should have her page and all the information on this artist in America can be found. Here is the link to her full discogs - https://www.discogs.com/artist/1371980-Melissa-B
A simple Google Search on "Melissa B" would show that this person appears in the front of the search results with a photo and description with links to her music. If you can help me o this article to make it better I would greatly appreciate it. Jamal Saeed Abdul Rahim Declined
Hello, You denied my draft article due to copyright violation, however I do not believe I have broken wikipedia's policies. The only information in my draft that I copy-pasted is the personal information table, which I believe is what you are referring to. There are other examples of this being done in prominent articles, here is an example. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugene_Palmer_(criminal) (Visible in the Infobox, Description taken from the FBI.gov page)
According to other wikipedians that I asked and my knowledge general information such as "Nationality" cannot be copyrighted. Additionally, this information was a work of the U.S. Federal Government, leading me to believe that the information is public domain regardless.
If I could get some more info that would be great. InterestGather (talk) 06:54, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- InterestGather, My bad. I have made some changes. Another thing I noticed in the draft that it says everything in the lead section, you should try summarizing main points in that (lead) section, and add the full details in a section below, likewise you've already made the section of "status". It would help a lot. Just "click the resubmit button" and it is done. Thanks. ─ The Aafī (talk) 17:05, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Please help me out: Difference between Wikipedia.org and Wikitia.com?
Hi Aafi, I understand you’re very busy, but I must report this to you. While waiting for the response to my resubmission at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Lucina_Kathmann, I’ve found my article is at another web site https://wikitia.com/wiki/Lucina_Kathmann. It’s said the people at wikitia.com sell Wikipedia articles. Is it true? I’m in shock and wondering if Wikipedia knows that my draft is put on the Wikitia.com web? Are these two sites related? Please let me know. Many thanks in advance! 1001Bookworm (talk) 23:42, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- 1001Bookworm, I do not know about Wikitia but I believe it is a mirror site which copies declined articles or deleted articles from the English Wikipedia. If any draft comes on Wikitia, it won't be a problem, because it has a history - which shows that from the two which one is mirror copy. The draft was added to Wikipedia on 26 August 2020 and mirrored to the Wikitia on 31 August 2020. ─ The Aafī (talk) 07:43, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
- TheAafi, Thanks so much for taking the time from your busy schedule to give a very helpful answer. 1001Bookworm (talk)
Draft:Sedriya Balotan
Hi, Style is not a valid reason for AfC rejection. This has been the cause of some ongoing issues with non AfC reviewers and part of Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Articles_for_creation#Major_AFC_fail_re:_Korean_literature and Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Articles_for_creation#Bad_Reviews etc. I would never accept (if notable) in that form as some do, but we should not reject on issues of formatting or style. You could have just rejected as unsoruced and pointed them to WP:STYLE. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:51, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- KylieTastic, Oops, I was myself seeing that I missed something. Thanks for pointing out it to me. Thanks ─ The Aafī (talk) 12:37, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- No worries :) Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:45, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
