Stub template

[edit]

Hello, I saw your double attempts at adding stub template on Ram Jaipal College. I'll enjoin you, to add this script importScript( 'User:SD0001/StubSorter.js' ); // User:SD0001/StubSorter.js in your commons.js, it'll easily help you to add the stub template in any article without stressing yourself a lot. Also note that more than one stub template can be used, but more than four should not be used in one article. Ping me if you need any more help. Cheers, —Nnadigoodluck🇳🇬 08:09, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nnadigoodluck, thank you for the script. I have added it to my common.js file. It'll be really helpful for me to add stub templates now. So kind of you. The Ultimate Let's Talk 08:46, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The Ultimate, All the very best. I see you becoming a more better editor in the near future. —Nnadigoodluck🇳🇬 08:50, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DBigXray Can you please clarify your this reversion? I can understand the undoing of the "children name" but the "Citation needed" tag? I didn't apply the tag to the whole article, it was for a particular sentence which definitely is wrong. In the sentence the claim is: rganisation has been accused of violating government rules and regulations, and undertaking populist ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES. How can there be any violations for doing environmental activists? You just quoted WP:LEADREF but no reference provided in the article claims any violations. The references claim/accuse of violations in his organization's land/work, not for environmental activities. Please reconfirm again, and reconsider. If I'm right, please rewrite the sentence by replacing the "environmental activities" by organization's acquisition of land etc. but thats already covered, I guess, in the below sections. Hi, Hope you are doing well. I have created a number of articles related to Chenab Valley and to improve them from your side (as you are also from the same area, as per your Userpage) I need your favour. Here is the list of Locations:

You can find all of them are related to Chenab region. — The Chunky urf Al Kashmiri (Speak🗣️ or Write✍️) 10:39, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am creating new articles too related to locations in Chenab region.— The Chunky urf Al Kashmiri (Speak🗣️ or Write✍️) 10:59, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sure! I edit some of the articles occassionally and few are in my watchlist. I wasn't aware of these new articles, thanks for posting them here on my talk page. I'll surey contribute to the extent I can. And thanks for creating these articles and above all maintaining such a good quality. You're doing a great job. :) The Ultimate Let's Talk 16:24, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Editing user pages

[edit]

Information icon In general it is better to post things on other editors' talk pages, and not to edit their user pages. If someone wants to put a barnstar that you awarded them on their user page, they can do so themself.-- Toddy1 (talk) 06:11, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Help in Wikiproject Chenab valley

[edit]

Hi The Ultimate, Hope you are doing well, I am here asking for help in designing and maintaining Wikipedia:WikiProject Chenab Valley and guide me till I understand how to maintain it, so that I can ask the volunteers who are interested to improve articles related to Chenab valley. It will be great pleasure for me, if you help me in this. I am asking this some other editors too. Thank You. — The Chunky urf Al Kashmiri (Speak🗣️ or Write✍️) 05:49, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, WikiProject is actually a kind of group of editors working on articles belonging to a specific domain. Wikipedia:WikiProject Chenab Valley is already set-up quite well, all it needs is to get more editors to keep the project running. Actually it's a bit hard to find who is interested in contributing in a dedicated way to the WikiProject. In the beginning, you may personally require to invite the fellow editors to join. Just ask them to pit their name in the designated section on the WikiProject page and help in editing/creating the articles that fall in the domain of the WikiProject. I don't know editors who may show their interest in keeping this up. I've already added my name, could your find others? The WikiProject page itself doesn't require dedicated maintenance, it can just be updated when a certain goal is achieved. The Ultimate Let's Talk 09:59, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

August 2020

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to 2020 Bangalore riots, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Source does not mention "Muslim mob" it mentions Muslims urging each other to not indulge in violence. SerChevalerie (talk) 12:16, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

SerChevalerie: There's a clear mention of the word Muslim in the article, the source of the clash. Have the courtesy to admit as written in multiple sources. Just checked your talk page and saw your credibility. Kindly don't enforce your WP:POV. It is better to keep the decency and not let it get escalated further further. Wikipedia is not to run individual propaganda, I believe you know and respect that. Regards. The Ultimate Let's Talk 12:23, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Ultimate, the article subtly implies it, but it does not state it outright like you did. Please read the article once again; I'd suggest searching for the 6 mentions of the word "Muslim". In case you find a better source, please go ahead and participate in the relevant Talk page discussion on the same issue, but this source won't do. Also please follow WP:BRD in the future. SerChevalerie (talk) 13:01, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring warning

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 2020 Bangalore riots; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Woody (talk) 12:32, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

File permission problem with File:JKSSC Logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:JKSSC Logo.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 14:48, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
