Ptolemaida
[edit]Hi, I'm an American trying to understand your Ptolemaida edits and translate them better. For instance, "Etimoloji" should be "Etymology" and "taked" should be "taken" (the people of Ptolemaida might prefer "liberated", but I'll let Greeks and Turks decide that.)
No Wikipedia main article pages have signatures, and your signature will have to be removed. Here is a quote from Wikipedia policy: "you should not sign edits you make to regular articles". But it's OK (and expected) to sign talk pages like this one.
Here's another part I don't understand:
Karafere war
Gianitta war
Kumanova war
population
population exchange
The word Karafere, for instance, doesn't even appear on Google. If you think someone will someday write articles on those wars, a better place for the redlinks would be in a "See also" section. "Population", "population exchange" and the dates look like reminders to yourself to add more information, but the article will look weird until we add the information or delete the reminders. Similarly, the new heading ==Villagias== has no text in its section. Also, Villagias isn't an English word - did you mean Villages? Art LaPella 20:50, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Request for edit summary
[edit]When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Re: Proposed deletion of Eyüp Sabri Kartal
[edit]Since you are, I believe, none other than User:Eculum, creator of the article being proposed for deletion here, I thought I'd post this message to you as well.
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Eyüp Sabri Kartal, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Eyüp Sabri Kartal. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. —Saposcat 20:03, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hello, Mr. Kartal.
- I'm leaving this message to let you know that, although I've nominated your page for deletion, I did not do it out of spite or ill will or any other sort of bad intentions. I did it—I admit—partly because I am something of an exclusionist as regards Wikipedia: I do not believe that any district governor (i.e. kaymakam) or equivalent, in whatever place, either needs or deserves an encyclopedia article. Also, to be honest, I did it because I was suspicious—owing to the page's content—that it might have been a vanity page. More than that, however, my nomination for deletion was probably born out of my unfamiliarity with the fact that, in fact, many mayors and so forth of many much smaller places than Beşikdüzü have articles on Wikipedia that have avoided deletion. I still do not agree that they belong there ... but it is ultimately, as you know, not up to me, but other Wikipedians, to decide.
- In the hopes of showing you that I bear you no ill will whatsoever, I have created Template:User osm-3 for you, since that was listed in your Babel languages as a dead link. Regards. —Saposcat 23:29, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hi 3210 - as you see, I am trying to explain them that your article is legitimate but I do not much believe in success. I write this only to tell you: keep up a good work, and do not worry - most of the opponents do not understand the reality in this part of world. If you will be by chance in Prague, I will pay you a beer :-) --Ioannes Pragensis 18:47, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

In my opinion every managers bios should be in WP.Also Kaymakams defenetly shold be in WP for local historian sake.How local historians get informations abaout their governors?Thank you for your strong support and efforts for Eyüp Sabri Kartal's article.Thanks.--3210 08:40, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

- Thank you very much. I have noticied it now.--3210 08:42, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- With respect, I do not yet see evidence put up against the discussion on the AfD of the level of governorship. (And please don't lecture me on how small European states are - I live in Cyprus!) Vizjim 17:42, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Re: Proposed Ottoman Wikipedia
[edit]Although I think an Ottoman Turkish Wikipedia would be very interesting (if somewhat strange insofar as it is, for the most part if not entirely, an extinct language—perhaps no stranger, though, than the Latin or Klingon Wikipedias), frankly speaking my Ottoman skills are not up to the task, as I cannot really write it with any confidence, particularly in the Perso-Arabic script (which any Ottoman Wikipedia would necessarily have to be in). There may well be several users at the Turkish Wikipedia, though, who would be more capable of assisting you in such a project. All the best. —Saposcat 10:57, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Bayramiye
[edit]A tag has been placed on Bayramiye, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. SkierRMH 09:34, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
You might consider creating a user sandbox or subpage for articles in process, Wikipedia:User page#How do I create a user subpage?, otherwise entires like this will often be deleted without prejudice. Best prepare it in a sandbox or subpage until it's ready to be published as an article. SkierRMH 09:43, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Konya
[edit]Selam 3210,
You added some information about Konya vilayet to the Konya article, although it wasn't specific to the city itself. Therefore, I have moved the text to Konya Province, Ottoman Empire, where I think is a more appropriate place for it. Cheers, Khoikhoi 08:28, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Balkan wars
[edit]3210, I have the impression that you do not understand how an encyclopedia is supposed to work. Please stick to statements that can be verified from reliable sources. The takeover of a town by a hostile conquerer, especially if dominated by a different ethnic group, will regularly lead to atrocities. The fate of the Turkish inhabitants of Kailar after the Greek takeover is of course an important aspect of the article. Please, provide some reliable sources of the events of that period, and describe them in a more neutral fashion. Qualifiers such as beautiful, attractive; gracious, pleasing men do not belong here. (I assume the there were some beautiful, attractive; gracious, pleasing men also among Greeks, as it will be the case with any other group of humans). Andreas (T) 19:21, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Mr Andreas, I have also the impression that you do not understand how an ancyclopedia is supported to work without greek propoganda. During the I.WW Nationalities were discovered that knowledge can be a propoganda material. Infact All of the the referances have been written by me are relaible sources. Unforcuannatly You deleted many times of the Kailar article which sorced from encyclopedia brittanica 1911 edition. The true that it is the most relaible encyclopedia edition in the world. Because knowlodge in 1911 edition of the Ansiklopedia Brittanica did not used for propoganda material . So that they wrote abaout turks " sober, order, self desiplinied, they show the best caracter of the race ". Also ı have to mantion that turks handsome, beautiful, attractive; gracious, pleasing men . Because turks the most arian race in the world. You said (I assume the there were some , beautiful, attractive; gracious, pleasing men also among Greeks, as it will be the case with any other group of humans). if you did not mixed with turks you could not be such spesipication. I could give you some pictures of pure turkish Kailar people. you will see how they were handsome.[3] (In Persian, turk, in addition to the national name, also could mean "a beautiful youth), Do not tell me all anatolian people as arian turk User:3210 17:10, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- You have not yet answered the important questions. Which sources talk about the move of the population to the mountains? Does this source say if they were forced to leave the town, by what means, and where the went (which mountains)? Did they leave before or after the conquest of the town? Are there more than one independent sources describing the incident? I also still miss the clarifications I asked for at Talk:Ptolemaida#Attempt to copy-edit Ottoman section, in particular the meaning of the words "komshi" and "halalleshma". Ptolemaida
[edit]Hi, I see you put back a lot into this article that I had removed. The reason I removed it (as I mentioned in the edit summary) is that it is not specific to Ptolemaida -- in fact, it is copied straight out of the Encyclopedia Britannica 11th edition article on Macedonia. It doesn't make sense for every city and town in Macedonia to have a copy of this text. Could you please remove this text again or explain why you think it should be kept? Thanks, --Macrakis 19:58, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- the article is definitly about kailar as you know cuma beys definition are commenley used for kailar population. formel name of kailar was "kaza-i cuma" .it means the district of cuma not kailar. but people commenly uses kailar and than this name used publicly for the city.Because of the city population is originially came from kai traibe. I am the member of this erdermuş villiage of kailar family.they were beys from Ayyubid destiny from urfa. if you look at some urfalı surname in turkey that they came orriginially from kailar at 1926 to turkey if you look at the "tahrir defteri" in archive of ottoman state you can see this argument true. I gave you some firman of sultans on kailar city. Please if you don't know anything about kailar please do not change the article.--3210 21:43, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Dear 3210,
[edit]
Of course I am interesting all the subjects which you interested in. I am interested in all Turkey related subjects, I have more than 2K article in my watchlist.
I am watching your works also.You are trying to do somethings, but you generally choose copy paste from another article or from external sources. This is not a credible way and against to wiki rules, like as; Wikipedia:Content forking. The best way is to write article with your ownd words/sentences(no matter; good english or not, another users can help about grammar etc.), to find copyright-free images and sorces for your work.
In this manner, we can colloborate on all areas in wiki.

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Serdar, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Vikisözlük, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. License tagging for Image:Madur.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Madur.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Translation
[edit]Hi 3210.. I've been editing now and then Yoruk and now I came across this fragment in Turkish about these Yoruks reffered to also as Mican (mocan,mucan,macanoğulları,micanoğulları) yörüklerinden or "karamanli Mocan". If you've got a bit of time could you very briefly translate the meaning of it/ Are these "Mocan" a branch of the Yoruks? Many thanks..Apostolos Margaritis (talk) 20:29, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Çünkü bizans kayitlarinda 750 li yillarda kailar yenice de yorukler var denmektedir. see link {{cquote2| The first Turkish immigration from Asia Minor took place under the Byzantine emperors before the conquest of the country. The first purely Turkish town, Yenije-Vardar, was founded on the ruins of Vardar in 1362. After the capture of Salonica (1430), a strong Turkish population was settled in the city, and similar colonies were founded in Monastir, Ochrida, Serres, Drama and other important places. In many of these towns half or more of the population is still Turkish. A series of military colonies were subsequently established at various points of strategic importance along the principal lines of communication. Before 1360 large numbers of nomad shepherds, or Yuruks, from the district of Konia, in Asia Minor, had settled in the country; their descendants are still known as Konariotes. Further immigration from this region took place from time to time up to the middle of the 18th century.
After the establishment of the feudal system in 1397 many of the Seljuk noble families came over from Asia Minor; their descendants may be recognized among the beys or Moslem landowners in southern Macedonia .
At the beginning of the 18th century the Turkish population was very considerable, but since that time it has continuously decreased. A low birth rate, the exhaustion of the male population by military service, and great mortality from epidemics, against which Moslem fatalism takes no pre-cautions, have brought about a decline which has latterly been hastened by emigration
The Turkish rural population is found in three principal groups:
- the most easterly extends from the Mesta to Drama, Pravishta and Orfano, reaching the sea-coast on either side of Kavala, which is partly Turkish, partly Greek.
- The second, or central group begins on the sea-coast, a little west of the mouth of the Strymon, where a Greek population intervenes, and extends to the north-west along the Kara-Dagh and Belasitza ranges in the direction of Strumnitza, Veles, Shtip and Radovisht.
- The third, or southern, group is centred around KAILAR, an entirely Turkish town, and extends from Lake Ostrovo to Selfije (Servia). The second and third groups are mainly composed of Konariot shepherds. Besides these fairly compact settlements there are numerous isolated Turkish colonies in various parts of the country. THE TURKISH RURAL POPULATION IS quiet, SOBER and ORDERLY, PRESENTING SOME OF THE BEST CHARACTERISRICS OF THE RACE .
See link:1911 encyclopedia.org
The Byzantines retained the southern regions and Salonica, which temporarily fell into the hands of the Saracens in 904. With the exception of the 1 Also Alexander, Perdiccas, Philip, &c. maritime districts, the whole of Macedonia formed a portion of the empire of the Bulgarian tsar Simeon (893-927); the Bulgarian power declined after his death, but was revived in western Macedonia under the Shishman dynasty at Ochrida; Tsar Samuel (976-1014), the third ruler of that family, included in his dominions Uskiib, Veles, Vodena and Melnik. After his defeat by the emperor Basil II. in 1014 Greek domination was established for a century and a half. The Byzantine emperors endeavoured to confirm their positions by Asiatic colonization; Turkish immigrants, afterwards known as Vardariotes, the first of their race who appeared in Macedonia, were settled in the neighbourhood of Salonica in the 9th century; colonies of Uzes, Petchenegs and Kumans were introduced at various periods from the 11th to the 13th century. While Greeks and Bulgarians disputed the mastery of Macedonia the Vlachs, in the 10th century, established an independent state in the Pindus region, which, afterwards known as Great Walachia, continued to exist till the beginning of the 14th century. In 1185 southern Macedonia was exposed to a raid of the Normans under William of Sicily, who captured Salonica and massacred its inhabitants. After the taking of Constantinople in 1204 by the Franks of the fourth crusade, the Latin empire of Romania was formed and the feudal kingdom of Thessalonica was bestowed on Boniface, marquis of Montferrat; this was overthrown in 1222 by Theodore, despot of Epirus, a descendant of the imperial house of the Comneni, who styled himself emperor of Thessalonica and for some years ruled over all Macedonia. He was defeated and captured by the Bulgarians in 1230 and the remnant of his possessions, to which his son John succeeded, was absorbed in the empire of Nicaea in 1234. Bulgarian rule was now once more established in Macedonia under the powerful monarch Ivan Asen II. (1218-1241) whose dynasty, of Vlach origin, had been founded at Trnovo in 1186 after a revolt of the Vlachs and Bulgars against the Greeks. A period of decadence followed the extinction of the Asen dynasty in 1257; the Bulgarian power was overthrown by the Servians at Velbuzhd (1330), and Macedonia was included in the realm of the great Servian tsar Dushan (1331-1355) who fixed his capital at Uskiib. Dushan's empire fell to pieces after his death, and the anarchy which followed prepared the way for the advance of the Turks, to whom not only contending factions at Constantinople but Servian and Bulgarian princes alike made overtures.
Macedonia and Thrace were soon desolated by Turkish raids; when it was too late the Slavonic states combined against the invaders, but their forces, under the Servian tsar Lazar, were routed at Kossovo in 1389 by the sultan Murad I. Salonica and Larissa were captured in 1395 by Murad's son Bayezid, whose victory over Sigismund of Hungary at Nicopolis in 1396 sealed the fate of the peninsula. The towns in the Struma valley were yielded to the Turks by John VII. Palaeologus in 1424; Salonica was taken for the last time in 1428 by Murad II |[5] -- 3210 (T) 19:39, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Category:Open Society
[edit]Hi - I nominated Category:Open Society (which you created) for deletion. As a category, it's a little vague, and it doesn't look like it's going to be populated any time soon. Categories are supposed to be defining attributes--see WP:CAT. I think this might work better in terms of beefing up the Open society article. However, your opinions and thoughts would be welcome at the CFD. --Lquilter (talk) 04:25, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Support for deleting the Category:Anti-Armenianism
[edit]Will you support my arguement for the deletion of the Category:Anti-Armenianism that I put forward on May 1, 2009?
It is very subjective and even racist as it puts every person who questions the Armenian genocide, such as prominent academicians, who are not racist or personally against Armenian people or Armenia as an entity, along with assasins and militants.
Thank you

The article Orfano has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Seems to be a disambiguation page with no links.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. fetchcomms 22:10, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Eparhiaki Foni
[edit]You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Eparhiaki Foni requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. 141.156.160.217 (talk) 23:59, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:29, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Your contributed article, Trakhàn Dynasty
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Trakhàn Dynasty. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Gilgit. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Gilgit - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. France3470 (talk) 03:59, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article Alice Kayaloglou has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. I was wondering if you'd be interested in setting up Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Turkey), based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). Now it's not a contest in itself, it's designed to motivate people to inspire others to improve content and build something which demonstrates the hard work going into the country which is visible. The focus is more on quality improvements but new articles are welcome too. Eventually a Turkish National Contest could be created to fuel it, like Wikipedia:Awaken the Dragon, in which contestants can choose to keep the Amazon vouchers themselves to buy their own books for more articles or put them into book fund to help editors further improve Turkish-related topics by giving them the books they want. It will begin though as purely an improvement drive. If interested, or you think anybody else might be interested, alert them and sign up on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Turkey talk page at the bottom. Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 14:12, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. The article Sozialamt has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Tavix (talk) 18:06, 15 February 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ali İhsan Tola
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ali İhsan Tola requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Ali İhsan Tola
[edit]Hello 3210,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ali İhsan Tola for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Hasan Tahsin Tola
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hasan Tahsin Tola, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello 3210 -- Thanks for contributing this article. Unfortunately it urgently needs sources to remain in mainspace. If you don't provide reliable sources for the material immediately, it is likely to be moved to draftspace, redirected to the author, or deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of The Early Hours
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Early Hours requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/10317559-the-early-hours. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Your draft article, Draft:City names in Ottoman Empire
[edit]Hello, 3210. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "City names in Ottoman Empire".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Silahtarağa moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Silahtarağa. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:53, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Silahtarağa (Disambiguation)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Silahtarağa (Disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. CycloneYoris talk! 06:12, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
