- Closing reads like a super vote.

2019 Closes
[edit] Partly done
NOTE: closes are unchallenged in any way unless noted otherwise in red.
- Template:Infobox settlement → ?, Template_talk:Infobox_settlement#Requested_move_28_February_2019, not moved
- Anthony Browne (UK politics) → ?, Talk:Anthony_Browne_(lobbyist)#Requested_move_20_February_2019, Move to Anthony Browne (lobbyist)
- Skin (2018 film) → ?, Talk:Skin_(2018_feature_film)#Requested move 25 February 2019, Moved
- As I noted in the close this was a good solution to an unusual situation but leaving this where it was and a hatnote to the short film with the same name from the same year and director, as one participant noted, would have worked too.
- Special (Garbage song) → Special (song), Talk:Special_(song)#Requested_move_24_February_2019, Moved
- French Mandate for Syria and the Lebanon → Mandate for Syria and the Lebanon (and two more), Talk:Mandate_for_Syria_and_the_Lebanon#Requested_move_16_February_2019, moved
- Only three participants including nom but all agree on the moves or are neutral with one preferring no parenthetical on the two with legal instrument parenthetical disambiguation. Since no one objected to that preference, and in fact the nom offered to make another proposal to drop those indicating nom was good with it too, I went ahead and moved accordingly (well, submitted tech requests to move them).
- Fayoum SC → Faiyum SC (etc.; multi-move); Talk:Faiyum_SC#Requested_move_23_February_2019, Consensus to move
- 9 to 5 (film) → Nine to Five (film) Talk:9_to_5_(film)#Requested_move_23_February_2019, Consensus to not move.
- MMR vaccine and autism → ? Talk:MMR_vaccine_and_autism#Requested_move_20_February_2019
- Proposal with wide open destination, referring to discussion previous to the RM and requested a close, appeared to be classic situation of consensus for a title change but no consensus on which particular new title to use. I did my best to choose best title per WP:THREEOUTCOMES based on table that showed one particular title (with "myth" − MMR–autism myth) had most support and left note in closing statement asking to be notified on my talk page if any issues, and moved the article accordingly. Unfortunately I inadvertently added a period to the title when I renamed and used a hyphen instead of an en-dash, and used the exact title listed in the discussion which was missing a word ("vaccine"). These issues were brought to my attention [3] [4] and I responded as follows:
- fixed the period error [5]
- verified the en-dash convention and fixed that too [6] (per MOS:DASH - file under: learn something every day)
- suggested we wait a day to see if we had consensus on the addition of "vaccine" to the title, leaving the title at MMR–autism myth (understanding a likely move to MMR vaccine–autism myth in a day, pending some feedback/confirmation from others).
- Well, an INVOLVED admin was not happy with that, and, without first discussing with me on my talk page, reverted my close[7], reverted the move[8], closed the discussion[9] and even filed an ANI, returning the article to MMR vaccine and autism.
- The discussion continues as of March 1 with little progress.

- Talk:Park_Street_station_(MBTA)#Requested_move_14_February_2019
- I closed as moved[10], then new evidence was presented[11], I was asked to revert on my talk page[12], I did revert and relist, the new evidence prevailed (and rightfully so, IMHO), and ultimately the article was not moved after all. No drama.
- The Defender (novel) → The Defender (Kalashnikoff novel) , Talk:The_Defender_(Kalashnikoff_novel)#Requested move 14 February 2019, Consensus to move (unanimous)

- Huron University College → Huron University, Talk:Huron_University_College#Requested move 16 January 2019, 'Reverted to original name
- From closing statement: "This is confusing since the article was moved before the original RM was closed, then the RM was closed and then reopened subsequent to the move. In any case, there is no consensus for the recent move, so it needs to be reverted."
- 2018 Independence Cup → ?, Talk:2017–18_Independence_Cup_(Bangladesh)#Requested_move_2_January_2019, Not moved
- A subsequent proposal which I did not close nor participate in, based on a suggestion I made in my close, did succeed. See Talk:2017–18_Independence_Cup_(Bangladesh)#Requested_move_29_January_2019.

BOLD (no RM discussion) moves
[edit]NOTE: I very rarely make a move without an RM discussion. Only if I'm as certain as reasonably possible that the move is not potentially controversial will I do so
- This is L. Inc. → L. Inc., I reverted move that was made while an RM was in progress.
- RM: Talk:L._Inc.#Requested move 26 January 2019 (result of which was to stay at L. Inc.; I did not participate in discussion or closing).
- Kelly Overton (animal rights activist)→ Kelly Overton (activist), Per side discussion at Talk:Kelly_Overton_(actress)#Requested_move_26_February_2019
- Only person with this name that is an activist of any kind, so specifying type of activist in disambiguation is superfluous per widespread conventions supported by longstanding community consensus.
Extraordinary situations
[edit]DiDi (September, 2018)
[edit]My close of DiDi (company) → Didi Chuxing (moved to DiDi) was unilaterally reverted (no discussion, no MR), I was accused of super-voting, and, a few days later, the discussion was closed by an admin almost identically, with the same move I had decided to make.
- Original move to DiDi after close: [13]
- My original reasoning: [14] The result of the move request was: Moved to DiDi. There is no perfect answer here, but my reading is consensus prefers the short stylized DiDi over the (unnecessarily) disambiguated current title. I don't see consensus to move to the longer Didi Chuxing which does appear to refer to only the part of the business in China. (non-admin closure) В²C ☎ 01:17, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- My original reasoning: [14]
- Revert of the move: [15]
- Revert reasoning: [16]
- Move after re-close: [17]
- Re-close reasoning: [18] The result of the move request was: Moved to DiDi. There is no consensus to move back to the longer title Didi Chuxing. Claims that it meets NATURALDIS were offset by claims that this name refers only to the Chinese market, and worldwide the "Didi Chuxing" name is an official name rather than a common name. However, there is a consensus that straight DiDi is better than the current title, as it differs from other Didi entries in capitalisation, and also satisfies NATURALDIS. — Amakuru (talk) 08:26, 16 September 2018
- Re-close reasoning: [18]
Iznik pottery (2017)
[edit]Note: I believe I've been claiming that none of my closes have been challenged at MR. However, I had forgotten this one went to MR. It was not overturned, so I can still safely say no close of mine has ever been taken to MR and overturned.
İznik pottery → Iznik pottery Talk:Iznik_pottery#Requested_move_21_February_2017
- After multiple editors requested I revert my close finding consensus to move (see: User_talk:Born2cycle/Archive_13#Iznik_pottery), I noted all of the requesters were either involved and opposed the proposal, or had a history of disagreeing with me. I was willing to revert if one objective editor requested it, but no such objective editor surfaced. So, it was taken to WP:MR which resulted in no consensus to overturn: Wikipedia:Move_review/Log/2017_May.
