Wii Series
[edit]Isn't this a part of the Wii Series? (rct2guy 02:00, 24 August 2007 (UTC))
- Theres absolutely nothing here to conferm wether this is part of the wii series or not Richardson j 01:40, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- According to Gamespot it is being developed by Nintendo. (c-o-n-f-i-r-m. confirm.) --Twbtg2 (talk) 21:59, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Could Wii Chess really be considered a true installment of the so-called Wii Series? Its presence seems contrary to what the other games are trying to demonstrate (ie the kind of gameplay possible using the Wii Remote), and its not even called Wii Chess in Japan. North American Release
[edit]Anyone have any idea when (if ever) this will be released in North America? I love Chess and I love Wii, so I would really love to find out this is going to be released here! 99.233.54.173 (talk) 01:48, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- I think I read that it wasn't going to be released. There really isn't much point of a chess game on a Wii. Bubba73 (talk), 02:14, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- Oh well. Thanks for the quick response. 99.233.54.173 (talk) 17:34, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- If you want a good chess program, I would suggest buying a version of Chessmaster over Wii Chess, unless you really need a console version to play on your TV for some reason. It's a hell of a lot more comprehensive and has a lot more features than Wii Chess. The most recent PC version (Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition) is being sold on Amazon for $15, and older editions (which are pretty much just as good) are even cheaper (Chessmaster 10th Edition is under $10). Or if you've got a DS or PSP, even that version (Chessmaster: The Art of Learning) would be a better value. (DT29 (talk) 01:32, 21 March 2009 (UTC))
