Fair use rationale for Image:Vanguard 01.png
[edit]Image:Vanguard 01.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fuel
[edit]I don't remember the ship in Vanguard running out of fuel. I'm going to check on this. Jsyersiii (talk) 16:58, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Eh, I guess I didn't read the article well enough the first time. The reason I don't remember the ship running out of fuel is because the only way it would happen is if you didn't shoot any enemies for a significant amount of time. Who would ever do that?? Anyway, the article is correct. I was thinking about Scramble where you specifically had to refuel by touching a fuel point. Jsyersiii (talk) 18:07, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
The fuel gauge did go down faster in each level, so in later loops it was a struggle to keep it full when you didn't have an energy pod to top it off for you. You needed to shoot the enemies when they flew past you with vertical fire to make sure you didn't run out. Which could be challenging in the Stick Zone because of the walls in the way. 50.21.206.23 (talk) 19:13, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
Vanguard
[edit]What an awesome game. I always played with a friend. I steared the ship and he fired. It was a lot better that way since it was such a complex game. Vanguard ruled! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.253.4.21 (talk) 22:20, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- I did the same thing; always played with someone else and split the firing/steering. You could increase the rate of fire dramatically. 169.252.4.22 (talk) 13:05, 9 April 2024 (UTC)

Atari 2600
[edit]I think the Atari 2600 version skipped several levels. And in lieu four buttons it used joystick-directed fire, which meant you couldn't fire sideways without moving up or down. 2fort5r (talk) 01:56, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
